The First Ten Focus Group Feedback for When No One Else Believed
Because When No One Else Believed was Book of the Day, some of our most trusted members have carefully looked over the cover, the description, and other aspects of this book as a part of purchase-intent focus group. We then asked each participant in the focus group if they planned to buy and read the book, and why they planned to buy and read the book or not. Their answer to that question and reasons are displayed below. We call this awesome feature The First Ten Focus Group.
Keep in mind, the responses from the members are not reviews. This is purchase-intent focus group which means the participants are people who have NOT yet bought or read your book. A purchase-intent focus group is an important and extremely useful marketing tool for any product, not just books. For other products, you might walk on the street and show people an item in a package and poll them about whether they would buy if or $X or not. These kind of focus groups are one of the ways big marketing companies find the ideal price points for products and test the effectiveness of different packaging. The focus group can help you identify your market so you how to target ads of your book, and it can (but may not) provide you new useful info about your "packaging" (e.g. your book cover, your book synopsis on Amazon, etc.). The point of the focus group comments is to give you information from people who have not bought or read your book about why they plan to buy your book which will help you in marketing the book. These are not reviews or critiques of your book because they are not from people have read the book. This is a marketing tool, not reviews. The trick of book marketing and book advertising is that you have to convince people who have not read your book yet that your book is worth buying and reading. For marketing, it doesn't matter much if people love your book after reading it if you cannot convince potential buyers before they read it that they will love it.
IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable. This is because we only poll about 20 or so readers, and all readers have to say "no" to almost all books. Over a million books are published each year. Even a very active reader cannot come close to even reading 1% of books out there.
This is also why publishing books is such a tough industry.

The author narrates the story of God's miracle in the recovery of his wife who suffered from a rare disease. He also reflects on how his ADHD affected his ability to cope in this journey. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing. While I wouldn't have read the book based on its genre, now I plan on reading the whole book as I've found the sample engaging and heartfelt. The thing I liked the most is the author's ability to bring together diverse experiences from his life to communicate his difficulties while growing up and as an adult due to a severe case of ADHD. He also talks about financial difficulties and all the ups and downs through the years. I saw an official OBC review, and it was useful. I also wasn't able to find any major grammatical errors expect one in this sentence, "Whatever it was I sure wasn’t getting it." There should be a comma after 'was'. I would still go ahead and rate the text as professionally edited because of the lack of any other errors in the sampled portion. There's nothing I would suggest for improvements.

I most likely wouldn't have read this book outside this program because I'm not big on the nonfiction genre. I read the book's OBC review before sampling, but I don't think the review had much effect on my final decision.
This book starts with the story of the author's journey of rediscovering his purpose after losing several jobs and businesses. This book turned out to be the answer to the author's search. At this point in my life, I can relate to the author's dilemma about what to do with his life, and I too am actively asking God about that. I like that this is a book of testimonies from great travails, and I think it is perfect just the way it is. I, however, will not complete this book; I just don't see myself reading through it till the end.
I noticed one questionable sentence in this book: "We [were] more in love now than ever." I believe "were" should be "are" since the sentence was referring to the present.

I was a bit hesitant to read this book because of the focus on God and religion, as I find such books preachy and boring. However, I'm also a fan of books where people have found success in unconventional ways. Getting healed of a major illness through faith in God is no small thing, and Ron Tripodo's wife's healing motivated me to sample the book. Besides, the OBC review was very encouraging. The blurb and other online reviews were also promising. The title and cover of this book are amazing.
As for the sample, I'm impressed with the writing style. There's this honesty and humility in Ron's writing which made reading the sample a very pleasant experience for me. I was happy to see Ron accomplish so much even when he has ADHD. He is truly an inspiration to all of us. The book seems professionally edited, as I didn't encounter any errors in the sample. However, there's only one thing that I didn't understand about this particular sentence: But now, as I write this book, I am giving serious consideration to his claim of divine intervention. This sentence ends with a red-coloured period while the entire sample is written using the usual font colours. There's nothing that I disliked about the sample. I've no suggestions for improvement. Finally, as l liked reading the sample, I'm going to read the rest of the book.

I'm a part of this program, so I sample this book based on the genre, reviews, and cover photo. The cover photo has a pleasant vibe that shows a great victory. I always read the reviews on Amazon and in the OBC review because they tell me the main theme of the book. I like the pessimistic tone of the narrative; through it I can sense the hope and faith of Ron. I will read this book, and I'm grateful because it's free on Kindle Unlimited. I noticed a minor typo. (I strongly encourage you to read "When No One Else Believed." to get to know the story of Ron's and Patsy's lives.) The period after the word "believed" must be changed to a "comma." Polishing some flaws is my recommendation for improvement. Other than that, the book seems professionally edited. I read the OBC review, which influenced my decision.

I have just read the first 10 pages of the book, When No One Else Believed. It is authored by Ron Tripodo. If I wasn't part of this First Ten Pages programme, I would still sample this book. This is because the blurb instantly made me believe the book is a book whose subject is primarily hinged on faith in God. And after reading the sample, I decided that I am going to buy and complete this book. This is because Ron's story will strengthen my faith and belief in God. The editing in this book is excellent, judging from the first ten pages. I didn't find any errors. I love the theme of faith in God contained in this book. This is evident at the point when Jim, his friend, tells Ron to adopt a strategy that would see him avoiding his debts. Ron declined the strategy and insisted on paying his debts because that is what God instructed him to do. It was reasonable for him to avoid his debts, but he insisted on paying them just because it aligned with the will of God. I didn't find anything to dislike in this book. The Online Book Club's official review of this book was positive. The review further convinced me of my decision to purchase this book. Ending this review, let me state again that this book is a must read for me and I am going to buy it and read Ron's story to the end.

When I saw the title and cover of this book, I thought it was a self-help book about believing in yourself no matter the circumstances. Self-help books are my favourite subgenre, so I was looking forward to reading or sampling this book. It came as a shock then, when I read the blurb and the customer reviews, to learn that this was a book about restoring faith and devotion in marriage. These are themes I do not relate to, so they shattered my interest in the book. In the sample, the author tells a story of the strain his marriage faced in its nineteenth year and how he and his partner managed to amend their differences and rediscover their love for each other. This was a heartwarming story of love conquering but it was a topic I have no interest in. I found no errors within the sample. The OBC review commended the author's writing style and storytelling. Although those aspects are apparent in the sample, I will not be reading the rest of the book because I have no interest in its subject matter.

I loved the writing: it's simple, warm, and easy to follow. The cover is excellent, but the color of the letters is very similar to the background. My problem is with the argument: Although I believe in God, I am also a health professional. I wouldn't buy this book because I found no credibility in the plot. OBC reviews helped me make up my mind. I did not find any errors.

I don't like books based on religion or spirituality, so I would not have chosen this book for myself because the title, cover, blurb, and official OBC review all make clear that this is a book about Christianity and the role of the author's Christian faith in the events of his life. Because I want to be able to form my own opinion about books rather than be influenced by others’ opinions about them, I choose never to read editorial or customer reviews other than OBC reviews, and so I did not read any about this book, either. I liked that the author was honest and upfront about the struggles he faced in school and in business due to his undiagnosed ADHD and about how those struggles actually made him feel, regardless of how he pretended to feel in order to make himself look tougher. I disliked that the author ascribed every single event in his life, good or bad, to the direct intervention of God; although this may be how the author really views his life, it makes the book totally unrelatable to any non-Christian reader. Predictably, I didn't like the heavy religious elements in the sample, so I do not intend to read the rest of the book. I found one error in the first ten pages: a missing quotation mark at the end of the quotation ending in "It's the right thing to do.".

When No One Else Believed by Ron Tripodo tells a story of a man who experienced God's miracle when his wife was on life support. The book's title, cover, and blurb are all inspiring and promise a great read for anyone struggling and searching for God. Based on that, I would have still sampled the book even if I were not part of the First Ten program. What I liked from the little I read is how the author addresses the reader directly. It felt like I was listening to the author speak, making the book easy to read. I found no errors in the book and nothing to dislike, so I have no suggestions for the author. The book's OBC review highlighted the author's writing style and how inspiring it was, which convinced me to read it. I will be buying the book and eventually reading it because I feel there's a lot I could learn from it about God and how he works in our lives.

Overtly religious self-help books are not my cup of tea, and this one is no exception. A brief glance at the cover told me that I wouldn't read it, and I don't intend to. I found no errors in the first ten pages, but nor did I find anything to like. The author's tone simply didn't engage either my sympathy or my interest, and I find myself indifferent to this book. One thing that I absolutely despised, and which I generally despise, is white Christians throwing people of colour under the bus to underscore their own virtue. If American Christian missionaries want to preach faith and patience to the suffering masses, I'm sure they will find a suitable demographic closer to home, right on the streets of the great America.

I downloaded the sample of this book, When No One Else Believed, and read the first ten pages. The book was crafted by Ron Tripodo. In the opening pages of this book, I read that this book is a must-read for anyone facing insurmountable obstacles that require faith that does not look at circumstances but instead focuses on God. The book has a tale of Patsy’s Miracle for a dose of inspiration. This book seems to have passed through the hands of a professional editor. This is because the first few pages that I sampled were error-free. The feature I appreciated most in the first ten pages I sampled was the cover. I liked how the cover was well-designed. There was nothing I didn’t appreciate in the first ten pages I read. I’m not a fan of these kinds of books. I’ll therefore not purchase nor finish reading the entire book. I’ll just recommend it to those who appreciate inspiring non-fiction books. This book has several customer reviews on Amazon and other websites. Moreover, it has an insightful review. Neither the review, cover, editorial comments, nor the title had an impact on my decision not to purchase and finish reading the entire book. My decision was based on the genre of the book. In my opinion, this book is fine the way it is and doesn’t need to be altered in any way.

I got the chance to read a portion of this book after I downloaded a free excerpt from Amazon. Reading the sample of this book was wonderful and enjoyable. For some motivation, it follows the tale of Patsy's Miracle. According to the book's introduction, no one ever anticipates seeing a miracle in their lifetime. People become mired in daily life, which is why this happens. After reading the first ten pages, I realized that the author used a basic and uncomplicated style of writing, which was the aspect of the book that I loved the most. As a result, I found it simpler to read and comprehend the book's opening passages as a result. I adored every aspect of this book, without exception. This book seems perfect from my perspective, and nothing should be changed about it. There were no grammatical or spelling problems in the first few pages I read. This suggests that a professional editor may have edited the book. I read a lot, but I don't typically read books like this. This is not to say that I detest the book. I would recommend it to anybody who enjoys inspirational stories. They'll like reading this book. A formal review of this book was also read by me. It was insightful. Nothing about the book's cover, title, or review affected my choice not to purchase and complete reading it. As indicated before, the genre the book belongs to had an impact on my choice.

I am not interested in reading “When No One Else Believed” from the first glance at the cover or the title. The book appears to be a true story based on spirituality, a genre I would not reach for to read. The blurb indicates that it is about a man’s faith in God and love for his wife, who is experiencing health problems. Although this is a moving topic, I am not interested in reading about true-life spirituality stories. The OBC review was excellent but didn’t identify any new points within the book that I’d be interested in reading.
I did not think I was going to enjoy the sample pages of this book. I was wrong. I made it to the end without realizing it and wanted to continue. I found no errors in the pages I read, and I enjoyed the author’s writing style. My favorite portion of the book was his discussion about his friend Kevin. Kevin was willing to risk his friendship with Ron to save Ron and Patsy’s marriage. Everyone needs a friend like Kevin. This book reminded me to look hard at my responsibilities within my marriage. I did not dislike anything about the sample. I have no recommendations for the author, I honestly enjoyed his work. I will buy and finish this book after reading the first ten pages.

I would never have sampled this book had I not been part of the first ten. I do not like books that are connected to religion. After reading the first ten pages I found that the book was less offensive than I expected it to be. I still have no desire to read it but for others maybe the topic won't bother them so much. I did find it interesting that the author, like myself, has ADHD. I was glad to see that he was at least with it enough to seek actual medical treatment for it. I'm not sure how you would improve it as that story is their own, it just happens to not be something I want to read. There weren't any serious grammatical errors in the part that I read. However, the book was written in a style that I found a bit too conversational. I think the flow could be improved upon. I did not read any reviews prior to this sample so I could make an honest unbiased opinion on the book.

This is not a book I would normally read given I am not interested in the topic of religion and marriage. I also was not interested by reviews that I read, including the official OBC review. I did not notice any grammatical errors in the sample. The part that I liked the best was the well-developed voice narrating the book. The author's panic due to his wife's condition is extremely evident. I wasn't drawn in though due to the religious content. I will not be finishing this book because of that.

I would not have read and/or sampled this book because of the cover and genre. I do not like books that talk about religion or use religion as the main theme. I will not buy and read the whole book. Immediately I could tell this wasn’t for me. The main focus is religion and God. The entire introduction was about God, and I do not like reading books like this. I did not find any errors in the first ten pages. I liked how the main character has ADHD and how the author mentions this in the book. It is an important topic that should be addressed in a realistic approach. I do not like the constant references to god. However, this is a personal preference, and I am sure others might enjoy it. There is an official review in OBC and it let me realise that I really don’t want to read the book. Even though it was rated highly, I know I would not enjoy it.

I adore the book title, which I believe is quite inspirational and speaks volumes about the contents. Based on the reviews, I would have read the book. According to the OBC review, the book emotionally impacts readers. I like how the book cover depicts a man and the heavens opening up to show God answering prayers. The book begins with Ron explaining his rocky marriage and temporary separation from Patsy. He is open and honest about the issues that led to their strained marriage. I enjoyed the author's writing style, which puts readers at ease, and I felt as if I were present with him as he told me the story. I didn't notice any grammatical errors in the first few pages and have no recommendations for the author.

I believe in God, miracles, grace and love stories of perseverance. So when I saw this book's title and cover, I knew I would have to add it to the shelf to read it later. This would have been the case even if I had not been part of this program. Luckily, I could download it free from Kindle Unlimited; as such, I will be reading the entire book as soon as possible. I like that this is a true story, with the author narrating events in his life. I particularly like that he introduced us to his struggles with his wife's illness and those concerning his business in the first ten pages. I thought that set the scene nicely to learn about the miracle and how God worked to help him overcome all this adversity. There is nothing I disliked, and I did not spot a single error in the first ten pages. While I read an OBC review of the book and found it helpful, I did not read any editorial or customer reviews or blurb, but that is okay as I know I will read this book in its entirely based on the title, book cover, genre, first ten pages and OBC review.

I think we can always do with a bit of inspiration in life. Were I not part of this program, I would have sampled the book based on the blurb and cover. I liked that this bit of inspiration is faith-based. What I liked about the author is just how human and relatable he is; how he describes his doubts about writing the book and all the difficulties he'd had leading up to that. I also liked Tripodo's writing style. The clear, short sentences and easy flow of thought kept me engaged (I was surprised when I got to the end of the sample and couldn't scroll any further!). So based on my reading experience so far and the very encouraging OBC review, I've decided that I want to finish this book. It should be noted that I didn't find any errors, and the book flows smoothly. The editor did a great job.

Had I not been part of this program, I would not have chosen to read or sample this book based on its cover, title, genre, blurb, editorial reviews, and customer reviews. This is not to say that they were not exceptional (cover, title, and blurb) or had a negative opinion of this book (editorial reviews and customer reviews). The reason I will not be buying this book is its genre. I am currently not interested in reading nonfiction books.
I did like how the author started the story. Reading how the author struggled to secure a job, as he was constantly fired for things like noticing shady entries in the records and having different views on business ethics, I could not help but feel pity. He described the lowest point in his life (his wife's illness, coupled with the disappearance of his wealth and his failings in his career path). This creates a common ground for both him and his readers, as everyone has gone through something. I did not find any errors while reading this book's first ten pages or anything to hate. The official OBC review did not influence my decision to not buy this book.

I would have to say if it were not for this program I would have overlooked a few good books. I am not a lover of non-fiction however being part of this program I found a lot of non-fiction books that I have to finish this being one of them. I might just start to change my mind about the genre. I love the cover and the name speaks of boldness. I like everything about this book so far. I found nothing that I disliked. I have no suggestions for the author. I am glad Ron decided to trust in God. There was no spelling or grammar mistakes. This was solely based on the first ten pages of this book. No other reviews, OBC or otherwise influenced my decision.

This is a compelling story of a man's belief in God. He shares his wife's miraculous recovery from a usually fatal illness. I think the cover and title are fitting for the story so I would read it based on those. I liked how the author expressed his faith in his writing. I don't normally read books of a religious genre but I would read this book based on the awesome customer reviews, the blurb, and the official OnlineBookClub review. I liked how smoothly the writing flowed. The sample was professionally edited and I don't see where the book needs any modifications. I will be reading it because I'm interested to know more about Patsy's illness and recovery.

The title, cover, and blurb have a religious vibe. I am a Christian, and the word "miracle" on the cover would have moved me to sample this memoir outside the program. The editorial and customer reviews I saw were all complimentary, so I was further encouraged to look into the book. There were a lot of things that made me decide to read Ron Tripodo's story. I was amazed that he was able to write this book, even with his history of ADHD. There's a page in the front matter that explains that the book is ADHD friendly. I think the book was professionally edited since the pages I sampled had only a couple of minor errors. (At 2% of the book, "Along with it, comes a love story and my awakening to God's will" did not need the comma. At 3%, "God is giving us all another chance to receive his grace through this miracle" failed to capitalize "his." Some chapter titles had end punctuation; some didn't.) And I was astonished to learn that the author already "gave God glory and honor through a series of billboards proclaiming that God had healed his wife before the healing was complete." I did not see anything that I wanted to be changed. The official OBC reviewer gave the book a great rating. As I have already read this book, I totally agree.

I am not a fan of motivational books. Since I am not an enthusiast of the genre, I wouldn't have read this book outside the First Ten program; the title hinted at the genre. From the sample, I liked the message of love. The author talks about God's love. Having read the OBC review, I will not buy this book because it is an inspirational read. I noticed a minor grammatical error (I strongly encourage you to read "When No One Else Believed.[unnecessary full stop]" to get to...) and I believe it was professionally edited. I didn't find anything that calls for improvement

I may have not read the book based on the cover page and the blurb that I saw. They suggest a spiritual book. I have been reading a lot of this genre I feel I should take a break. The customers seem to have enjoyed this faith-based story. After sampling the first ten pages, they did not change my mind. I will skip reading this book but I believe it will be very inspirational to anyone going through a hard time. What I loved most in the first ten pages is the quote that life isn't made of atoms, but of stories. Patsy's recovery miracle sounds inspirational. I did not find any errors and I believe it is professionally edited. I have no suggestions so far. I will unfortunately not buy or read this book.

Despite the praises of the official OBC review and other published reviews, I did not intend to read this book because of the religious aspects. I found no errors in the first ten pages. Following a foreword, the author gave the premise of the book. Not many have unwavering faith in God nor do they believe in getting a miracle. But the author, and his wife, seemed to have found one. Then the actual story started in the aftermath of a market crash. I did not particularly like anything in the excerpt. However, I did not have enough expertise to suggest improvements, either. Since religious-themed books are not my forte, I decided not to read this one.

I avoid reading books about religion and faith, so I wouldn't have sampled this book based on its cover and title. The OBC review and the sample didn't convince me to buy and read it because the topic isn't interesting to me. It's about the author's experience as he narrates his wife's journey from having a rare disease until her recovery. I like the dedication of the author to his ailing wife as well as his trust in God. His story inspires other people to remain faithful to their beliefs. However, I won't continue reading this book because I prefer reading a memoir that's not too heavy on religious discussions. The book seems professionally edited, and I don't have suggestions for improvements.

The cover image and title indicate a religious book, and I learned from the Amazon description that this is the story of the author's faith against all odds when his wife was seriously ill. I wouldn't have sampled this outside of the programme on the basis of those because the story of a faith journey isn't a priority at present. (I have my own recent experience of a loved one recovering "when no one else believed", but faith in God was not the route I took through it.) I didn't see any editorial or customer reviews.
The sample didn't change my mind from my original guess: I won't buy this today because the topic isn't a priority. The text looks clean and an editor is acknowledged, though I saw a couple of minor errors: an unnecessary period after the book's title mid-sentence in the foreword, and "web site" instead of "website".
I liked the author's inclusion of the New York expression "Fuhgeddaboutit" - it was fun to imagine hearing this. I was also interested to read his account of life with ADHD. As the introduction seemed overly detailed at times, however, a more concise summary of the repeated business failures might represent an improvement, especially since Patsy's recovery must surely be the main focus of the book. I did wonder why the illness isn't specified. The official OBC reviewer also did not mention this for whatever reason. Although the review was somewhat helpful in essentially confirming my impressions, my decision was mainly based on the sample and my current reading preferences.

The cover and the title didn't attract me to this book, but the OBC official review and customer reviews made me reconsider. I didn't expect to enjoy sampling this book so much, but I did. Ron Tripodo made me laugh, and I like how he started this book. I wondered why everyone kept going on about the writing style and even felt they were exaggerating, but they weren't. The writing style is good and immediately draws you in. I look forward to completing this book. I believe the first ten pages were professionally edited because I didn't see any errors in them. I gladly have no suggestions for improvements because I enjoyed sampling the book. If I weren't a part of this program, I wouldn't have sampled this book because the cover didn't catch my eye. The book is a Christian-motivated and guided book. In the first chapter, the author shared his story of his eighteen-year marriage that almost came to a crash. The prologue shares his personal thoughts and experiences, and I liked the lessons I learnt from reading the prologue. I have no recommendation for the author. The pages I read were exceptionally well edited. The cover design and title are fitting. I will buy and read the book if it is based on them. However, I will not buy and read the book because its content does not align with my current interests. This is my personal thoughts and was not influenced by reviews, comments, or blurbs on OBC or not.

After seeing the cover, I guessed that this was a memoir about beliefs. I read the OBC official review to know the story. The OBC official review gave me the idea that this book showcases God's miraculous healing powers. This idea motivated me to read the first ten pages sample of this book. After reading the first ten pages, I realized that the book was not professionally edited because I found some grammatical errors in the free sample. For example, the sentence, "We fought at home, at work, even when we went out to eat." This sentence could be as follows. "We fought at home, at work, and even when we went out to eat." In this sample, I liked the gift given by Ronnie to Patsy on their nineteenth anniversary. I found the story very much knowledge enriching. My suggestion to the author would be to go for a round of professional editing and make this book appear polished. Looking at all the aspects of the book, I decided to purchase and read this book today because I cannot wait to read this book.

Without this program, I wouldn't have read this. There are no ratings on Amazon. The official review from OnlineBookClub and the cover look alright, but the book's premise is not my cup of tea. Reading the first ten pages did not change my mind from my original guess.
Frankly, I don't like anything in the bit I read. I didn't see the author's love for his wife, and her miraculous recovery wasn't depicted in the sample. Like most books of the same genre, this one simply talks about God and His doings. The author should introduce the book's selling points instead of using the old-fashioned approach. Besides, I would suggest another round of editing. Since I don't like the book, I won't buy it.
Error example: She was the epitome of..."I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR. -> There should be a closing quote mark at the end of the sentence.

When No One Else Believed by Ron Tripodo is a non-fiction book that brings an inspirational story that talks about the miracles of God, faith, love, and healing. If I didn't sample this book, I wouldn't read it based on its Official OnlineBookClub review, its blurb, and its genre since I'm not interested interested in real stories that talk about miracles. The book didn't have customer reviews, and the cover and title didn't affect my decision. After sampling it, I didn't change my mind and I won't read the entire book because of the reason I stated before. However, the book seems professionally edited and there's nothing to be improved in it. My favorite part was how the author described his love for Patsy since it shows how much the author cares.

Ron Tripodo's When No One Else Believed sounds like an inspiring book that I need to find, but, and pick up where I left off when reading the sample. It's the account of that incident, as well as a miraculous occurrence that occurs in an instant and dramatically changes one's life. God's help is important in this situation. Patsy, a character in this book, went through something similar. Most aspects of the book appealed to me, but the cover is the aspect that I liked most. It was well-designed, and it can help you quickly relate what the book is about. In the sample of this book, I found no flaws. This indicates that it has been edited by a professional. There was nothing about the book that I didn't appreciate. Although I was unable to find an official review, the sample was well-presented. The book's compelling contents, not other elements like the title or cover, influenced my decision to finish reading it. Furthermore, nothing in the sample that I read needs to be improved. The book is Ok.

I consider the title and cover to be consistent with the story. Therefore, many interested readers should be attracted to this title-cover combination. In general, I like inspiring stories and the fact that a miracle of God is narrated. The blurb indicates this is the true story of a husband's love for his wife, who suffers from a catastrophic illness with no chance of recovery. Also, it comments he has a lifelong learning disability, and God's promise gives him the unparalleled faith to persevere. There are no customer reviews for this book. Based on these elements, I could give it a try. I found it appropriate and curious that the book is ADHD-friendly since the author suffers from this disorder. I found it surprising that the author was a successful businessman despite suffering from ADHD. Particularly, I believe God can perform miracles and sometimes send us messages to prepare us for something relevant. In the author's case, it was impressive how all job options became problematic until he got unemployed. In addition, the prescription for the medication Adderall arrived just at the precise moment when he required it to be able to write this book. It would believe there was some divine intervention. The author's reconciliation with his wife was dramatic and moving. I found the sample entertaining and poignant. However, I don't have much expectation regarding the rest of the book given its focus and the fact that what happens to Patsy is known. I think the sample has already taught me about always considering God in my life. Therefore, I will not read the rest of the book. The official OnlineBookClub review states that this is an inspiring story regarding the miraculous healing powers of God. Plus, it highlights that the writing style is informal and straight to the point. The only editing detail I saw was that the Table of Contents jumps from Chapter 4 to Chapter 6. Apart from the aforementioned, I did not see anything else that I believe could be improved. In summary, I will not read the rest of the book.

This book is not one I would pick to read. I rarely read non-fiction and the cover and title lead me to believe that this was a religious book which I also usually avoid. After reading the sample pages and an official OnlineBookClub review, I am further convinced that this book is not for me. I like how the author talks about his struggles with ADHD and how hard school was for him. It’s great to bring awareness to this topic. I have no suggestions for improvement. I can appreciate the authors struggles with his wife’s illness and the lessons he learned. People who like personal religious stories would enjoy this book. The author writes in a clear and direct way. I do not enjoy religious stories so I will not buy or read this book.

The cover of this book was beautiful but somewhat stereotypical. Nevertheless, I wanted to know what it was that no one else believed, and I would definitely have sampled the book even without this program. There was not too much information available on Amazon, but the blurb increased my interest; I love true stories, especially if a God is included. The sample pages described the author's process of understanding that he should write this book, from when his businesses started to go back until he finally realized what God wanted him to do. I was happy that he shared this process, as it can offer some peer support to others. Sometimes, we are fully blind to what God places right in front of us. His openness also convinced me that this book shares many good things. I did not find anything to dislike in this book, and as you might have already guessed, I am planning to read it. The Official OnlineBookClub review I found confirmed my thoughts about reading this book. I could not locate any errors from the sample pages; this book appeared professionally edited to me.

This book immediately caught my attention. The cover art is excellent and looks inspirational. They title is also appealing. It looks like a very positive book. I would have picked this book up based on the cover alone. I didn’t read any customer reviews or blurbs about this book because I read a very informative onlinebookclub.org review. The review was very positive and recommended this book. It also noted that it was well edited. I agree that the book looks to be professionally edited because I didn’t see any errors in the first ten pages. I also didn’t see any area that the author could improve upon. The first ten pages begin with a discussion about the author’s wife, Patsy. She experienced an extreme medical condition that could have ended in her death. However, her husband turned to God for help. The book focuses on the healing power of prayer and the miracles that can result. I enjoyed reading the first ten pages. The message of the book is very positive and uplifting. Based on the first ten pages and the OBC review, I would like to finish reading this book.

The cover seemed like a cliche, with inspirational Christian sun rays and a man with raised arms. I noticed that the subtitle had changed. I might have been tempted to read the back of the book based on the title. The Amazon blurb did not entice me too much. The OBC review was very favorable. I liked that it mentioned that the author struggled with ADHD, and that convinced me to try the book. I liked the pages that I read. It was easy to connect with the protagonist. I did not see any errors. I do not have any suggestions. I will finish reading the book.

Before reading the book's first pages, I wasn't interested in it because nothing on the cover or the title got my attention. After sampling the book, I don't want to continue reading it because I'm not a fan of non-fiction; I don't believe in God or miracles, so I see no point in reading a book narrating how someone had "an event that brought God into his life." This book seems professionally edited, I didn't see any typos; plus, it has an official OnlineBookClub review. I didn't see anything that needed improvement or that I particularly enjoyed. Neither the blurb, customer reviews, nor editorial reviews affect my decision not to read the book.

If When No One Else Believed hadn't been the OnlineBookClub's book of the day, I would have read the sample anyway because it is a memoir. I enjoy reading memoirs, especially ones that have a Christian perspective, so I knew this one would be perfect for me based on the description. For the Kindle version of this book, there are no customer reviews. The paperback copy had approximately forty of them, but I did not need to read these reviews to know I would be purchasing and finishing this book. I liked Ron's honesty about his marital problems with Patsy; he is very clearly in love with her and would do anything for her. There are no improvements I can think of, and I found no grammatical errors in the first ten pages. An official OnlineBookClub review exists for this title, but I did not need to read it to know this book is for me. Readers who enjoy memoirs with a strong emphasis about Christian faith should check this book out.

The spectacular starburst pattern on the front cover was so eye-catching that I couldn’t have walked past this book without pausing for a closer look. The title was a good indicator of the type of story within, but I was most interested in the fact that this is a supreme love story as well, as indicated by the sub-title. The books blurb confirmed this, and so I was interested to read a bit more. I am not really a great fan of Christian literature, but I liked the candor of this writer, and the down-to-earth way he admits to his shortcomings. There was nothing I didn’t like about the sample, although I was surprised to hear how moving the OBC reviewer found this story. I did not see any errors in grammar and do think this book was professionally edited, although the punctuation was very relaxed and there was abundant use of italics throughout the sample. All this led me to believe that this book would be a refreshing read if one is interested in such topics. I am not particularly interested in matters of faith, and so wouldn’t read any more of this, but I found the book endearingly honest and reasonably well-written, so not a bad production at all.

"When No One Else Believed" by Ron Tripodo is a non-fiction book that illustrates the author's love story with his wife, Patsy. I disliked the book's cover and blurb, but the Official OnlineBookClub review made me sample the first ten pages. The book seems exceptionally edited. I discovered no single error while reading the sample. I liked Ron Tripoldo's determination to start a new career despite his ADHD. Also, I liked the writing style and the concise dialogues. However, I will not buy and read the whole book because I would not want to read stories about broken marriages and illnesses during this period.

I read the nonfiction genre, but the synopsis of this book does not appeal to me. I am a Christian and believe in medical miracles, but am currently not curious enough to read this book. If I give this book a chance, I will do it as an audiobook. There is an excellent Official OnlineBookClub review of this book and many favorable Amazon reviews. I didn't notice any errors in the sample, and I wouldn't change anything about the book. After reading the sample, I haven't changed my mind. I like the card story. There is something so pure and beautiful in simplicity. The writing is good and I feel the author was very honest.

The book's cover looks lovely. I like the way the title looks as well as the author's name. The color and image on the cover blend well with the cover. I love it! "When No One Else Believed" by Ron Tripodo is free on Amazon. You need to use the Kindle Unlimited to download it. I didn't notice any typos or errors in the first ten pages, but I did notice some formatting issues. The book seemed to be well-written. One could see the reviewers' section of the book in the first ten pages. According to the author, the book was designed to be an easy read. I noticed the table of contents: dedication, foreword, introduction, prologue, chapters 1 to 15, epilogue, editor's note, interviewer's note, thanks from Ron, and about the author.
What could be improved in what I mentioned would be the capitalization and lines under the words to make it more formal and professional looking. It had some formatting issues as well, and it needed some adjustments. I will read the rest of the chapters of the book because I like the idea behind the author's book so much.
This book, "When No One Else Believed" by Ron Tripodo, had an OnlineBookClub forum review that I saw, but this didn't affect my decision.

While I liked the uplifting cover design, the description made it clear that the author is a God-loving person. While I'm impressed with the challenges he and his wife bravely faced, the beliefs angle made me hesistant to read the book. The lack of customer and OBC reviews further weakened my confidence in the story. There were a few commas missing in the text, but nothing that would hamper my reading experience. However, since the book speaks a lot about believing in God, I will not be able to finish this book since I'm an agnostic. I love the honesty with which the book has been written. Also I have no suggestions as I would have enjoyed reading the book if I was interested in reading about as spiritual beliefs.

When No One Else Believed by Ron Tripodo belongs to Non-fiction genre. The title and the cover page reveal that this is some sort of a religion-related book, and the blurb confirmed that. The book had neither editorial reviews nor customer reviews. I decided not to read this book based on the above-mentioned facts.
I read the first few pages of the prologue. It describes how the author started to fail in everything with the economical crisis, including loosing several jobs within a short period of time. But this story was common to many people in that global economical crisis, so I found nothing special or inspiring enough to make me read this book.
I found no errors among the pages that I read. It seems like the book was professionally edited.
I simply do not like this book, but I liked the way it was written. I have no suggestions regarding any area to be improved.
This book has been officially reviewed by OBC, and that review spoke highly about it. It is rated with 4 stars. But the review did not make me change my decision, and I will not read this book.

When No One Else Believed by Ron Tripodo is an inspirational memoir recounting the author’s life during the period his wife was sick. It also talked about the miraculous healing of his wife from a fatal illness. The book began with the author’s life crisis that led to him being called by God to write this book although having a deficiency that would normally make him lack what is required to be able to write a book. I would not have read it without the First Ten program being the reason. This is because I read Christian inspirational books mostly based on my mood. The few pages that I have read are captivating and seem interesting, but I will not buy and read the whole book. This is because I read this type of book only when the mood is there and also for an inspirational purpose. This book seems professionally edited as I did not notice any grammatical or typographical errors while reading the available sample pages of the book. I like mostly that the author did not write this book in such a way that it was not boring to read. I do not see anything that needs to be improved as I did not notice any fault in the few pages I read. I read an OnlineBookClub official review and it gave me an insight into what to expect from the book.

When No One Else Believed by Ron Tripodo drew me in the minute I saw the book title and cover. I'm a fan of faith-based books that tell the story of how God led a person through the fire. I had a chance to read the sample of this book on Amazon and the official book review on the OnlineBookClub website and was amazed at Ron's and Patsy's journey. I love that the author was truthful in his marriage woes with Patsy because many married couples could relate to that. I didn't find anything the author could do to improve this book. The book seems perfectly well written; I found no spelling or grammar errors. I plan on buying this book and reviewing it before the year is over.

The cover is perfect for the contents of this book. It depicts that this will be an inspirational book based on faith. I would have sampled the book based on the impression the cover gave me. I liked the Foreword's brief description of what to expect in the book. My favorite aspect of the book was the scripture references and how the author proclaims that it is God that influenced his writing. The writing style also spoke to me because I felt like I was sitting in the same room with the author. I didn't encounter any errors, and believe this book professionally edited. I wouldn't change anything at all, so there is nothing needing to be improved. The OBC review didn't influence me decision to continue reading the book, and I didn't read anything online to alter my choice. The words in the sample felt like they spoke to me and I will read the rest of the book.

If it wasn't for this program, I wouldn't sample this book based on its title, cover, genre, blurb, Official OnlineBookClub review, or other reviews because I always try to stay away from either religious or political books. I am also not the biggest fan of non-fiction books. After reading the sample, I will not read the rest of the book because of the same reasons mentioned previously. I am simply not interested in these types of books. My favorite part of the sample was when the author talked about Patsy's Christian counselor. I found this relatable because I once knew a Christian marriage counselor who made every single couple she counseled get a divorce. I can't think of any way to improve the book. There's a missing closing quotation mark in Location 280 (“I really appreciate you trying to help, but... I want to pay what I owe. It’s the right thing to do.).

Upon reading the book’s Amazon page and official OBC review, I opted not to acquire the non-fiction title. The book is largely an inspirational/spiritual true story of the author, but since I am not the spiritual type of person nor am I in need of a story that will inspire me, I don’t think I’ll benefit much from reading the title. I am not intrigued by the rare disease that the author’s wife acquired and her eventual road to recovery. I also cannot relate to the author’s struggles because I am not diagnosed with ADHD. Poring over its sample did not change my mind. I would not acquire it because nothing in the text convinced me I would enjoy perusing the rest of the story. The first ten pages include an introduction, a prologue, and a few pages of Chapter 1: Our Love Was Being Tested. My favorite part is when the author admitted that he was blinded by money and refused to follow his will to trust God. I was not able to identify any errors in the text; I believe the book is professionally edited. I have no advice to offer to the author.

This is a story of faith and miracles. I would choose to read it based on the title, cover, blurb, and genre. The official OnlineBookClub review was informative. What I liked most about this book was the simple writing style the author used. I also liked that he gave what his school experience was like, being a child who had ADHD.
The sample seemed professionally edited but I did find an error on page 3. The author wrote: ["I really appreciate you trying to help...It's the right thing to do.] This sentence is missing a closed quotation mark. I don't think any improvements are needed for this book. I will be reading it because I'm interested to know how Patsy was able to recover from her illness.

Based on the title, cover, and blurb, I would not have sampled this book if I were not part of this program. I read nonfiction books often, and as a Christian, I was glad the author had such a great story to share, but I am currently reading a book with a similar theme, and I am not interested in adding another similar book to my queue. The sample pages were engaging and easy to read. The author described his childhood issues at school and his recent trouble finding a job well. The book appeared professionally edited; I did not notice any grammatical errors in the first ten pages, and I have no suggestions for improvement. I will not buy this book for the same reason I would not have sampled it. Otherwise, it seems to be an inspirational story. From the cover, I suspected that this was a Jesus book. And from the Official OBC Review, it was clear that my assumption was correct and that this was a faith-based memoir. Therefore, from the cover and the review, there wasn't much of a chance that I would ever read this book. I have no interest in this religious genre and dislike memoirs except for certain instances. If not for this exercise, I wouldn't have so much as read the first line of text. After reading the first ten pages, I knew I would not continue. I do not believe in divine intervention. I certainly don't believe that divine intervention compelled the author to write the book, as he reveals on page 18. There wasn't anything that I liked about it, although the cover was flashy and eye-catching for this type of thing. I read no other reviews or blurbs about this book other than the Official OBC Review. I have no recommendations for improvement other than to have the book proofread one more time. Although the author indicates that the book was professionally edited by an editor named Muriel, I don't think Muriel did such a good job. For example, on page 9 of the Foreword, there is a misplaced period after the word "Believed" in the following sentence: "I strongly encourage you to read 'When No One Else Believed.' to get to know the story of Ron's and Patsy's lives." On page 15, the paragraph that begins "Thanks, Jim..." is part of a conversation, and the paragraph should end with quotation marks.

The sample was extremely engaging to read. I already feel emotionally involved in it, although I am not a Christian, but rather a Muslim. Still, the same concept of God applies. I might have not picked up this book from the cover, genre, title, or reviews like OBC, but the sample was too good to let go. I laughed each time the author told God that he cannot possibly write a book. It is ironic because I am currently reading it. I think I can learn a lot from the relationship in this book and the "trusting God" theme. An error is present on location 283, "I really appreciate you trying to help, but I wouldn’t feel right about doing that. I want to pay what I owe. It’s the right thing to do.[] - missing ending punctuation. I see nothing could be bettered, as the introduction is gripping and believable. I wonder what Pasty's diagnosis was, as I never heard her story. Reading about the Christian counselor made me giggle and feel angry for the author who had to endure how his wife turned even more back at him after going for counseling. I commend the author's work and look forward to the rest of this book. Well written!

Throughout his book, the author shares how he and his wife have experienced a miracle in their lives. By sharing how his wife has recovered from a terminal illness, he wants to strengthen your faith in God and encourage you to trust Him in difficult times. As I am not interested in reading non-fiction books, I would not have read the book based on the genre. For this reason, I did not change my mind after reading the OBC review and the first ten pages. However, I liked both the title and the cover; the blurb was also concise. I certainly appreciated the author's honest, conversational tone; the writing style was also pleasant to read. I only noticed a few minor errors that did not distract me from my reading. For example, I noticed a missing closing quotation mark at the end of the sentence: "'I really appreciate you trying to help, but I wouldn’t feel right about doing that. I want to pay what I owe. It’s the right thing to do." (Page 6) There should not be a comma after "reluctant" in the following sentence: "I was still reluctant, but feared that the bank would call my loan." (page 7) Personally, there was nothing that needed to be improved. There were no editorial reviews, but the book had many positive customer reviews; therefore, those who need encouragement in life and are interested in reading inspirational memoirs should give it a try.

Christian books don't interest me, so I wasn't going to sample this book based on its appearance, blurb, or OBC review. I noticed there were no Amazon reviews. I eventually sampled the book because of the First Ten program. It was hard for me to read the first ten pages because it was incredibly heavy on religion. The stories that were shared, like the one about the money market, only talk about the power of faith, so it's predictable. The author's beliefs don't match mine, so I won't continue reading this book. I can't make any recommendations because it's not a genre I enjoy. While the first pages seem well-edited, I encountered some minor errors, like an extra full stop after the book's title in 'I strongly encourage you to read "When No One Else Believed[.]" to get to know Ron's and Patsy's lives.' Also, I feel like 'Ron and Patsy's lives' is a better and clearer form than 'Ron's and Patsy's lives.'

The book cover has a beautiful design. However, the message is clearly religious, which is why I would not pick this book up if I would see it in a bookstore. I have my own beliefs and do not read books with a religious message of any kind. The customer reviews, blurb and OBC review do not convince me to read the sample. The first ten pages are well edited and have an easy-going writing style. I liked the honesty of the author. He seems to share his life story without trying to make things look better than they were. His faith in God will be inspirational to many people. Personally, I will not buy this book as I do not like memoirs with a religious undertone. I have no suggestions for improvement.

The cover, title, and blurb give a faith-based memoir vibe. I am not a fan of this genre and will skip this book outside the program. Customer reviews are not available. After sampling, I appreciate the background story about the career and health concerns of the author. It adds context to his challenges and struggles as he switches gears in his journey. However, the sample confirmed my initial guess and did not change my mind. It is indeed a faith-based book and is not for me. I have no suggestions for improvement. For editing issues, here are some examples.
Page 8. Punctuation. A closing quotation mark is missing.
Consider adding it.
She was the epitome of...“I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR.[]
Page 12. Capitalization. It seems the pronoun is a religious reference in this context. Consider using the uppercase.
God is giving us all another chance to receive [his] grace through this miracle.
The official OnlineBookClub review is enthusiastic and helpful. But I will pass.

If I had not read the first ten pages, I would not have chosen to read this book. The cover art, title, editorial review, and blurb all pointed to the fact that this book is written from a Christian viewpoint and focused on a miraculous recovery from illness based on faith in God. While I have no dislike or disrespect for this viewpoint, I don't care to read this sort of book. There were no customer reviews yet on Amazon, so I didn't have them to look at. Now that I have read the first ten pages, I am still not going to read this book for the same reasons as above - I am not interested in inspirational Christian books. I read both the Amazon review and the onlinebookclub review, but still didn't become interested.
In the bit I read, I liked that the author was straightforward about his purpose for writing the book and what his intended message is. The author could improve his first ten pages in a few ways. One, the description of the book and the review talk about the wife's illness as the centerpiece for the book, but the author starts out mainly talking about himself and his own troubles and didn't grab my interest because of that. Two, the author comes to a lot of conclusions about God, miracles, faith, etc right in the beginning. I suggest he start out by introducing the situation and letting us just get to know him and his story and save the grand cognitions for later when we can understand what has happened that made him feel that way. Three, the introduction and first chapter are all over the place timewise and throw too many stories about too many things at the reader at a fast pace but not in an engaging way. I do feel the book was professionally edited. From what I read in ten pages, there were no errors.

The cover is very appropriate for the topic at hand. It's too religious for my taste, but appropriate nonetheless. The blurb explains the plot well enough, but, once again, it's too religious and too tragic for my taste. The book lacks ratings, so based only on the cover and the blurb, I wouldn't have bought the book based on my first impressions.
The first ten pages didn't change my mind. I very much like the idea of an ADHD-friendly book. My husband struggles both with ADHD and dyslexia, so I wish there were more books like this. I can also recognize some feelings and behaviors I've seen, such as "My ADHD prevented me from articulating my thoughts calmly to address the situation." This makes for an honest and easy narrative, but I still don't care about the topic and much less about the author's failed business ventures. The first ten pages are entirely devoted to the author's business struggles, which is confusing, since this was not supposed to be a book about business. Since I don't feel invested in the narrative, I won't read the whole book. There are some editing mistakes, mostly missing quotation marks. For example, at the end of this dialogue on page 15: "I really appreciate you trying to help, but I wouldn’t feel right about doing that. I want to pay what I owe. It’s the right thing to do. I suggest fixing the edition and starting the book with something that's congruent with what's offered in the blurb. Maybe it's just a matter of switching the order in the chapters. The official OBC review didn't change my mind.

I would not have chosen to read or sample this book. The cover and the book's blurb both suggested that this book is a Christian non-fiction book. I do not like reading books in the Christian non-fiction genre; therefore, the genre was a turn off for me. I like the title, but it is not enough to make me want to buy this book. Furthermore, I did not see any editorial reviews, but the customer reviews did not influence my opinion. I am not going to purchase this book. Though the first ten pages of this book show that this book is truly well written, I do not like Christian non-fiction books.
I found at least one instance of an error while reading this book. On page 21, the sentence reads, “Needless to say I got in trouble a lot. .” “Needless to say…” should be followed by a comma since it is an introductory phrase. I love that the author decided to include that his wife had been cured in the first few pages of this story. I feel that this book should be edited once again in order to remove all the errors present in this book. Furthermore, I did not see an official Onlinebookclub review.

'When No One Else Believed' is written by Ron Tripodo. Ron chronicles the miracle that he witnessed in his life in this memoir. His wife, Patsy, was diagnosed with a serious disease. Their faith in God helped them overcome the illness. In 2008, Ron had a difficult time in his career as well. I like the loving way the author writes about his reconciliation with his wife after a bitter spat. I would not change anything about the book. The editing is fair. There is nothing in need of improvement. The OBC review is detailed as well. I do not wish to read non-fiction books as of now. So, I would have skipped it based on the cover, title, genre, blurb, editorial reviews, and customer reviews. After reading the first ten pages, I decided to give this book a pass as I am not in the mind-frame to read memoirs as of now.

I knew I wouldn’t be interested in this book from the title, cover, description, customer reviews, and the official OnlineBookClub review. I’m not a fan of non-fiction, so I will not buy and read this book. However, I think the author did a marvelous job with his writing style; it made this book very easy to read. I also enjoyed the way he kept gushing about his wife. The first few pages ended before I could get to the part about his wife’s illness, but I hope they continued to love each other against all odds. This book seems professionally edited because I didn’t notice any errors. I don’t think anything needs to be improved.

Non-fiction books are not something that I like, so I will not be finishing this book. The cover of this book shows how Ron felt after being diagnosed and given the proper medication, and the title gives a clue as to how the story will go. The reviews, including the OBC one, the blurb, and at least the first ten pages of the book focused on Ron's many attempts in business and his eventual submission to God (which I liked), rather than Patsy's illness. There are no suggestions that I would make for improvement. I do believe, based on what little that I read, that this has been professionally edited.

I would choose to read a sample of this book because of the cover and title. I read the Official OnlineBookClub review and the blurb but they did not influence my decision. I did not find any editor review or customer review. The title of the book is inspiring. The cover of the book fits well with the title and is excellently designed so that it combines an appeal to Heaven and simplicity. I will not read a book because I am not in the mood to read books in the field of spirituality at the moment. While reading the sample I did not notice any typos or errors and the book seems like it is professionally edited. Reading the sample did not change my mind from my original guess. I like what Dennis often jokingly said about Ronnie being the only one in eighth grade to have a full beard, a draft card, and a driver’s license. I don't think anything needs to be improved in the book.

I do not enjoy reading nonfiction or inspirational books, so I would not have selected this book based on the cover, title, and genre. The blurb was interesting but did not intrigue me. There were no customer or editorial reviews to influence me. The OnlineBookClub review was positive but did not convince me to read the book. While reading the first ten pages, I did not enjoy the author's writing style. However, I was disappointed because I expected to read about his wife's miracle, not Ron's ADHD. Although the first ten pages appear to be professionally edited, I did find an error at 5% of the sample in the sentence, "After God had blessed us with His miracle, I had done everything I could think of to witness [to] (delete) His name." I have no recommendations for the author because readers who enjoy topics like ADHD and miracles will enjoy this book. Unfortunately, I am not one of those readers. For this reason, I will not finish reading this book.

If it wasn't for this program, I would not have sampled this book. I think the cover and title go perfectly well with the concept of the book. The blurb seems to give a good idea of what the book is about, and there are positive reviews, both customer and the OBC one. However, the premise isn't one of interest to me. Based on what I read, the book does seem to be edited well. I like how open the author about his love and faith in God, his ADHD, and his appreciation and care for his wife right from the beginning. This makes a non-fiction more readable and more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I'm not invested enough in the story to want to continue. Therefore, I do not plan on finishing the book.

From the cover of this book, I thought it was one of those ultra spiritual books and I wasn't too intent on reading it. The review, although well written informative, didn't persuade me to read the book. From the sample, I liked that the very first chapter tackled the issue of integrated families and the challenges that come with it. At the moment, this doesn't relate to me, so I won't read the rest of the book.

At first glance, I would not have picked up this book. I'm not the target audience for it, as I am not religious and I do not read religious books. After reading the first ten pages, I found that the writing style is very honest and immersive. I did not find any errors, so I'm confident that the book was professionally edited. However, I'm still not the target audience for this book and the subject matter does not interest me, so I will not be finishing it. I'm sure plenty of other people will really enjoy it.

I would not have sampled this book based on the genre, blurb and OBC review. I don't usually read non-fiction books or books with a religious theme. After reading the first ten pages, I won't be finishing this book. I thought the prologue was way too long. It could be shortened quite a bit to get into the rest of the book sooner. I also didn't like that some of the words were broken into two lines. I just prefer that this doesn't occur when I'm reading. I liked the author's style. However, the content isn't for me. It did seem to be professionally edited.

Being that this was a religious book it’s not something I would have picked up to read on my own. I don’t usually read inspirational stories, especially those that are faith based. After sampling I will not be finishing this book. While I can sympathize with the author’s struggles, it’s just not a story I could personally relate to. I do feel the book was professionally edited and free from errors. I can’t aay I liked anything from the sample, but wouldn’t change it because this I’m sure is great for a targeted audience. The OBC review was informative but didn’t influence my descision either way.

If I had not read the sample I would not have read the book because I do not read religious books. After reading the sample I have not changed my mind for the same reason. This is definitely a matter of personal preference, but I just found the story hard to connect with, especially when the story started talking about God so early. Perhaps a little more context would allow me to understand better. It was professionally edited though. I did not read an official review but that did not affect my decision.

I don't usually read books with religious themes. As a result, I probably wouldn't have sampled this book without First Ten, even though the OBC reviewer enjoyed the story and author's writing style. The Amazon summary is free of errors and gives a clear explanation of what the book is about. The story sounds inspirational, but it still doesn't sound like my cup of tea due to the overly religious tone. The sample pages are also well written and I agree with the OBC reviewer that the author has a nice writing style. The Prologue is particularly interesting. That being said, I am not planning to read the rest of the book based on the themes and my personal reading preferences.

I'm not a lover of religious books so I wouldn't have read this book outside the program. The sample didn't change my mind. I appreciate the author's clarity and honesty in explaining how ADHD affected his life. I don't think any part requires improvement. It seemed professionally edited though there were a few missing commas encountered. The glowing OBC review wasn't enough to influence my decision in the book's favor.

I was immediately interested in finding out more about this book just based on the cover and title. The combination of the two already gives the impression of a very spiritually inspirational story. The review only solidified this first impression, as did the official summary. If anything more was required to convince me to read this book, the sample provided it. The first few chapters were incredibly easy to read and had me engaged with Ron and his life right away. I already felt empathetic toward him and wanted to read about how he stays strong in spite of the trials he has faced throughout his life. I love a book that will encourage my own faith in God's grace, misery, and ability to grant miracles.

The cover and title appear to be very religious to me. For this reason I would not have looked at it any further. I was, however, more intrigued by the blurb and OBC review since I enjoy stories about overcoming health issues. While there were references to God and healing miracles in both the blurb and review, it did not sound like these were the only themes in the book. The first ten spoke about multiple aspects of Ron's life, however there was too much talk about God for my liking, especially as it occurred right from the start of the book. While I can appreciate the author's beliefs and faith, this is something I prefer not to read about. I find faith to be a personal issue. The author's writing was easy to follow, written clearly and to the point. The addition of photographs was a nice touch, I did not detect any errors. I do not plan to read the rest of the book due to the presence of more religious content than I had hoped for.

Right away, this does have the appearance of a religious inspiration book. I tend to shy away from these books because I find that they like to push a certain religion onto you. Again, the title reflects that religious-y type feel. I found the writing to be pretty good in the first ten pages. I didn't see any editorial issues. Because of the nature of this book, though, I just don't find it appealing. The OBC review really promises that it is a good book if you're into this genre, but because I am not, I wont be reading the rest.

I wouldn't sample this book on my own, it was easy to conclude by the cover and the summary that the book is religious. There are some wonderful reviews, but also some biased ones written by close family and friends. With that aside, the sample didn't fascinate me. The message that the author tries to convey is nothing new, I believe this work is a product of therapy writing rather than something that is meant for the reader. Judging by the first ten pages, it seems like an autobiography which I usually don't enjoy reading. The good thing is that the book seems edited. I won't be reading the rest, I'm just not interested in the author's life and his religious views.

When No One Else Believed by Ron Tripodo is an inspirational book with religious elements. I would have chosen to read the book based on it's title and it's stellar customer reviews on Amazon. However, I do not like the book's cover. The sample I read increased my interest in the book. I love how the story gradually develops. Further, it is very inspiring. The book seems professionally edited. Finally, the book has an official OnlineBookClub review which is spot-on.

The cover and the title clearly convey the theme of the book. Even though it is not my genre, I still wanted to sample the book to find out if the book would interest me. It turns out that the book is no different than the typical faith books. The narration is raw, which could be improved by carefully selecting alternate words and restructing sentences. The formatting is fine. I didn't locate any mechanical errors. I did see an OBC review for the book, but my decision to not to read the book is based on my own sampling.

I really like the cover and title for this book, but the synopsis and review both told me that it's not the tome for me. I usually like spiritual books, but testimonials seem to be the exception, and this one is no different. Even so, I really enjoyed the sample. It seems to be professionally edited, and I like the tone of it; it reads as if the author is sitting here talking to me. I don't know that I'd call it my "favorite" part, but I did enjoy reading about all the job failures Ron went through. I've never been in that exact circumstance, but I have often felt as if everything I touched turned into dust. I was therefore really able to commiserate with the author. Still, I don't see myself finishing this book.

I had never heard of this book and was glad the BOTD program brought it to my attention. I like stories of miracles and liked what I read of this one. The author and the people he describe seem real and not flat and one-dimensional. His pain and frustration is tangible and his faith seems genuine. For these reasons I will continue reading. This book appeared to be professionally edited and error-free. The OBC review was also quite favorable.

When No One Else Believed: One Man's Perseverance, The Story of Patsy's Miracle is a unique, inspirational, true-to-life story of strong faith, and unconditional love. A living legend that proves true love exists. Even without the First Ten program, I will buy and read this book because everything in it, is captivating me - the cover, the title, the genre, the first ten pages, the perfect 4 out of 4 star rating on OBC official review, the high review ratings on Amazon, and most of all, I was sold on the blurb. Reading the first ten pages did not disappoint me. It started in a sad note - the author's ADHD story. A compelling, true story of a miracle. I have not found any error in the fist ten pages, and I consider this book a professionally-edited one that needs no further improvement. The perfectly captured moments were written by the author himself who suffers from ADHD. I applaud this author for the power of his unshakeable faith, and profound love. I will not waiver from my original hunch - to buy and to read this book.

I don't find the cover visually appealing so I would not have chosen to sample When No One Else Believed apart from First Ten. After reading both the blurb of this novel and the official OBC review, I was eager to start reading. I enjoy inspirational novels pertaining to Christianity and the topics this book touches on appealed to my interest. Seeing as Ron Tripodo is a great story teller, I had no problem reading the first few pages. I am very interested to see the hand of God work in his life through the pages of this book. This book seemed professionally edited but I noticed a few places that could have used a comma. For example, "When I sucked it up I felt humiliated." I think there should be a comma between 'up' and 'I'.

After reading the blurb, I definitely think this book looks to be such an inspiring, hopeful, and uplifting read. I love the cover. However, this genre isn't for me so I probably wouldn't pick this book up. After reading the first ten pages, I thought the writing style was interesting with it's diary like format. I didn't see any spelling or grammar errors. I definitely think that anybody looking to read a book for more inspiration in their lives or wanting to read more about this couple who are so strong would enjoy this book. The cover art adequately conveys the rejoicing and euphoria found within the book after the grace of God sees a couple through a devastating health crisis. The reviews suggest that this book is meant for those who are searching for a path to believing without proof, or a path to faith in the face of ruin. After reading the sample, it is clear that the book is indeed faith-based, and the conversational tone of the narrator/author makes for a relatable story. I am uncertain of the book's editing. Within the introduction alone there is a backward apostrophe and a misplaced ellipsis. Because the punctuation puts me off and because I'm not personally looking to increase my level of faith, I won't be reading this book.

This is not a book I would have normally read. I am not religious and have no interest in reading books on that topic. After reading the sample, my opinion is the same. This topic does not appeal to me. I did like the way the author wrote it in the style of a novel, which makes it more interesting to read. After reading a few pages of, When No One Else Believed by Ton Tripodo, I have decided that I will not be finishing this book. If I had not read a sample of this book, I would not have picked it up. At first glance, I could tell that this book was a religious novel. I am not a fan or reader of this genre. Neither the blurb nor the cover appeal to me. As I read the story, I don't find myself engaged in the book. I like that the author gives me some background, but it does not pull me in. I appreciate that the author lets me know that he will be the one telling the story. I don't feel that this story will be for me. For me, it's not a story that piques my interest on any level. Based on what I have read this book does appear to be professionally edited. This book does have an official OnlineBookClub review. This is a great cover page which catches the eye immediately. It looked a little religious in the picture and wording of the title, which did put me off. The OnlineBookClub review was very complementary and outlined the story well. It sounds like a very difficult and inspirational story dealing with illness and ADHD, however, it still didn't sound like a book for me. The pages which I read were well written and edited. The author has an easy way with words as he outlined his faith in God and his run of bad luck with employment. Although I'm sure this will be an inspirational read for many, this isn't the book for me. I have no ideas for improvement and I will not be continuing with this book.

From looking at the cover and title, you can tell that this an inspirational, faith based story. The first few pages are very well-written, with only one noticeable error. The pronoun his is used in reference to God, and should be capitalized. I was hoping to have some insight to the illness his wife face, but the first ten pages seem to be about his struggle with business ventures and ADHD. Based on the blurb and the style of writing, I will be reading the complete book at some point.

I love a good inspirational book, so I likely would've checked this one out whether it was the book of the day or not. So far it's not really touching on the miracle discussed in the Amazon description, but it's still covering plenty of ways God works in our lives (especially the ways we don't expect or even want!). Aside from one paragraph that had an extra indent to start with I didn't see any errors, and I'm liking the writing so far. If the book wasn't free I might not buy it, but since this is free AND I'm enjoying it so far I'm sure I'll finish it sometime!

This is not the type of book I would have chosen because the cover and title present a very masculine story. Also, Christian living literature is never my first choice, but the Official Online Book Club review offered great insight into the plot. The blurb, editorial, and customer reviews furthered my interest. However, I quickly lost interest after the first few pages. I hope for a happy ending for the narrator and his wife, but I will not buy and read the remainder of the book. My original opinion was confirmed. There are no grammar errors throughout the text.

I love this book. The message is so sweet, inspiring, and motivational. When the sample ended, I wanted to keep reading, and fortunately I can, since the book was so generously offered by the author. The editing was impeccable and the narration was very inviting and personable. The review was positive, but not necessary for me to know I want to read this book. I look for books like this regularly, so the cover and themes definitely appeal to me. It was so fun being able to see similar patterns in my own life when he told the story of how he came to realize God wanted him to write this book. It’s very encouraging to see the way God communicates doesn’t alter much from person to person. I also loved how he said God doesn’t bother with a person unless he knows they will eventually come around to his will. That deeply touched me.

Had I not actually sampled the first ten pages as part of this program, I would have chosen to read or sample this book based on the cover and theme. I like inspirational stories.
I am not going to buy and read the whole book because I didn't like that there were four parts before the story started - dedication, foreword, introduction, and prologue.
Based on what I read, the book seems like it was professionally edited. I didn't notice typo or grammar errors.
What I like the most in the bit I read is the clear and sincere narration.
What could be improved is to shorten the intros.

I strongly dislike reading inspirational/religious based books, so for that reason, I wouldn't purchase this book. The OBC review didn't change my mind; like I said, the themes/content of the book was a big enough turn off for me. After sampling this book, my mind wasn't changed (although I admit it would be hard to change my mind given the type of book this is). I didn't care for the author's writing style; though I didn't notice any grammatical issues, the tone of the novel just wasn't to my liking. Further, the content of the sample was just as I expected; I feel like I have heard this same story many times before. As I initially anticipated, I don't plan to read any more of this book.

This is generally not my kind of genre. I’m not all that interested in spirituality so I typically do not read miracle books, therefore the title and cover didn’t interest me. I did find the sample to be clean and well-written and it seems like a very personal story. I do like the idea of a story of people overcoming obstacles but I can’t get interested in the religious aspect. It seems well done, just made for a very specific audience.

From the cover, blurb, and review of this book, I would not have given it a shot. I am not a religious person and don't often read literature of this type. After reading the first 10 pages I definitely did not change my mind. Although I can see how this story would be powerful to readers of the religious faith, I am not one of them, and there is much too much religious content in this for me to enjoy it. It did seem well written and edited, but I will not be reading the rest of this book. I didn't see anything specifically I would have changed in this book considering my comments are simply about the religious content. The official review did not affect my decision at all.

I probably would have not read the sample of When No One Else Believed if it had not been a part of the First Ten program. While the Book of the Day review made the book seem inspiring, the religious nature of the book turned me off a little bit. The book seemed professionally edited and I did not notice any errors while reading it. I enjoyed how the author was frank about his failures. Based on the cover, title, and genre I wouldn't have sampled the book because it's not usually the type of book I would pick up for myself (I also tend to read more fiction than nonfiction). I read the official review and then sampled the book. I was impressed by how well-written the pages I read were. I found myself liking the author's voice, appreciating his writing style, and the use of dialogue; the author made it interesting to read his story which has me tempted to continue reading the story. I will be reading the rest of the book for those reasons and the fact that am also curious about Patsy's story and healing. There were no errors to be found in the pages I read.

As the book was free, I think I would have started reading it even without the First Ten program. I don’t think I’ll read this one just yet, I have a lot of library books I need to finish, and too many others on my to be read list. The book definitely seems professionally edited, I didn’t find any errors throughout what I read. I did see an official OBC review, which said that they found a few very minor errors throughout the book, but it’s rare to have so few. The review made me consider reading the book later on. I liked how strong the authors faith is, but for some reason I found their authorial voice to be pretentious in a way. Saying God inspired you to write these words seems to be putting yourself quite close to the writers of the Bible, and that made me uncomfortable.

I might have sampled this book without this program because I like to read inspirational books sometimes. The OBC review was positive and made me consider reading this book. After I read the sample pages, I thought the book was professionally edited. I liked the author’s casual tone. I also liked the story of how he decided to start writing this book after being unemployed for several months. I will read this book because I am interested in this inspirational story about faith and healing.

The title, When No One Else Believed, captured my attention immediately and I was leaning towards reading the book after reading the basic description. The official review made me want to read it even more. I love the honesty with which Ron discusses his own personal struggles with ADHD and his marriage. The first 10 pages definitely convinced me to read the whole book and I look forward to finishing it when I have time. It seems to be very well written and professionally edited. The paragraph indentation was sometimes oddly wide in Kindle for iPod Touch, but this is not a problem for me at all.

The cover and title are very well done. They give a clear idea of what the book is about without being overwhelming. The Amazon blurb was also good - clear, concise and gives a good idea of what the book is about. I quite likely would have sampled this book without the first ten pages program. The OBC review was quite positive and added to my interest in this book. I enjoyed the sample. I did not notice any obvious typos or grammar errors. The writing was clear and flowed well. I enjoy when stories like this are told with a clear and balanced view. I don’t like it when inspirational stories are too flowery and the characters accept no responsibilities. This book was not like that and I’m now curious about the rest of the story. I plan to read the rest of this book.

I wouldn't have sampled the book on my own, as I tend to avoid religious-themed novels. The cover and blurb didn't entice me, and neither did the sample. The sample opened with the author explaining his decision to write the book, which was touching to read but too detailed. The sample was well written, which is impressive considering the author suffers from ADHD. Unfortunately, the sample didn't really hold my interest. The many references to God were another turned off for me. I won't read the book, as I am not really into books with religious themes. The positive official review didn't sway my mind either way.

Total ~ 34%
When No One Else Believed earned a score of 34%.
In other words, out of the top-level reviewers who read at least the first 10 pages of this book, 34% plan to read the whole book.
IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable.
Over a million books are published each year. Any given person could not even read .0001% of the books out there. This means readers have to be very selective. Even taking the time to look over reviews and blurbs, let alone read samples, is more time than most readers can afford for most books. The First Ten is a powerful focus group that addresses those issues. It creates a helpful tool for authors, publishers, and other readers.
