The First Ten Focus Group Feedback for Commercial Property Made Easy: The 9-Step Investment Formula
Because Commercial Property Made Easy was Book of the Day, some of our most trusted members have carefully looked over the cover, the description, and other aspects of this book as a part of purchase-intent focus group. We then asked each participant in the focus group if they planned to buy and read the book, and why they planned to buy and read the book or not. Their answer to that question and reasons are displayed below. We call this awesome feature The First Ten Focus Group.
Keep in mind, the responses from the members are not reviews. This is purchase-intent focus group which means the participants are people who have NOT yet bought or read your book. A purchase-intent focus group is an important and extremely useful marketing tool for any product, not just books. For other products, you might walk on the street and show people an item in a package and poll them about whether they would buy if or $X or not. These kind of focus groups are one of the ways big marketing companies find the ideal price points for products and test the effectiveness of different packaging. The focus group can help you identify your market so you how to target ads of your book, and it can (but may not) provide you new useful info about your "packaging" (e.g. your book cover, your book synopsis on Amazon, etc.). The point of the focus group comments is to give you information from people who have not bought or read your book about why they plan to buy your book which will help you in marketing the book. These are not reviews or critiques of your book because they are not from people have read the book. This is a marketing tool, not reviews. The trick of book marketing and book advertising is that you have to convince people who have not read your book yet that your book is worth buying and reading. For marketing, it doesn't matter much if people love your book after reading it if you cannot convince potential buyers before they read it that they will love it.
IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable. This is because we only poll about 20 or so readers, and all readers have to say "no" to almost all books. Over a million books are published each year. Even a very active reader cannot come close to even reading 1% of books out there.
This is also why publishing books is such a tough industry.

The book details how commercial property investment can be used to generate wealth. I liked the informational premise of the read. However, I wouldn't have read the book based on its cover, summary, or reviews as I'm not into commercial property investment. I did like the part I read, though. The thing I liked the most is the author takes the time for introductions and also discusses his past experiences in commercial property investments. I also liked that he shares the challenges and doubts he faced himself. I did see an official review before sampling. I didn't find any errors, so I would rate the book as professionally edited. I'll not read the book as I'm not interested in the genre. And I've no recommendations for improvements.

Upon reading the book's official OBC review and Amazon page, I decided not to purchase the book. I recognize no value in buying and reading the whole book: I don't plan to invest in any commercial property in the present or the foreseeable future. Without sampling the title, I wouldn't purchase the book.
After I read the sample, my decision remains unchanged. My reason for not purchasing the title is similar to the one I stated in the first paragraph. The sample includes testimonies from multiple people who attended the author's workshop and the benefits of investing in commercial properties. What I liked most is reading about the pros of commercial properties since it informed me of the numerous reasons why it is one of the best investments one can make. I didn't note any errors in the text, so I believe the book is professionally edited. I have nothing to suggest to the author.

The book seems to cater to a specific target audience about a specific subject, and unfortunately for me, it is something that I'm not interested in reading. The review and blurb did not really help in piquing my interest on it. Sampling the book, it seems to be written in the style of a Powerpoint presentation. Some information are presented in bullet-points and diagrams which made it easy for the readers to absorb the details. The author is correct when he stated that he made the book easy to read and understand. It is also professionally edited as far as the pages that I sampled. This book could be a useful tool for those who want to learn about investing in commercial property. I can't relate to it now so I'm going to take a pass on this.

I would not have sampled this book based on the genre, blurb, OBC review, cover and title. I’m not into getting into any type of real estate and especially not commercial. After reading the first ten pages, I won’t be finishing this book. The organization needs to be improved. It jumps from talking about the end of the book back to the actual content of the book. I liked that it listed the benefits of commercial property; these benefits just didn’t interest me. I don’t see a point in reading this book if I’m not interested in commercial real estate. The book did seem to be professionally edited.

I wouldn’t have sampled this book based on the cover, title or blurb – there are too many books of this nature out there, and the fact that the Amazon version of the book has just 15 reviews (despite being published in 2015) only makes me even more sceptical. After reading the first ten pages, I was still not convinced to continue reading the book. While I liked the author’s personable style of writing, the beginning wasn’t compelling enough for me to continue (in particular, I did not find the ‘Key Players’ section very interesting). I did not see any typos. Although the official OBC review praises the book, I won’t be reading the rest.

I would not have chosen this book based on its title, cover, and description. I am not interested in business nor property at all. The official review did not change my mind or convince me at all. If I were not in the First Ten program, I would not have even read this sample. I like the author's overall credibility and tone. The author is friendly, but still professional. I also like the addition of personal anecdotes. It made me believe the author more. There was nothing I disliked about the sample. After sampling, I will not buy and read this novel. I am not the target audience since I have no interest in commercial property at all. I have no need for this novel. I did not find any errors or typos. This book seems well-edited.

I would have chosen to read this book based on the title, cover and genre, as I usually prefer reading informative, non-fiction books and this book is one of those. The official OnlineBookClub review gave me a thorough overview of the book. When I started sampling the book, I felt that the author made a really smart choice of first introducing Tobi and Carol and letting them narrate their story about getting into the commercial property business. I really liked this aspect of the book. However, due to the small size of the book, the sample was really short. Nevertheless, I will still continue reading this book. The sample contained only one small error at location 155 of 167, where "Sure, is a very serious game." should have been, "Sure, it is a very serious game."

Not being interested in investing in commercial property, I knew from the outset, from the cover and the official OBC review, that this book would not be for me. Sure enough, I was bored with the content in the sample and spent the whole time wanting to stop reading it. Although the book is supposedly short, I will not continue reading, particularly as the author advises reading the book "two or three times" to actually understand the content. I suppose the later chapters, judging by their titles, would make a good guide for those who were actually interested in investing in commercial properties. The first few pages felt like nothing more than an extended advertisement for Lang's workshop/class, which was also irrelevant to me, not to mention self-aggrandizing on the author's part, even though it was phrased as though it were "unsolicited testimonial from a participant" (sure, okay. Insert eye-roll here). I noted five errors: a missing hyphen in "Carol is a full time share trader" (full-time); a typo in "come to Chris' workshop" (Chris's); an extraneous semicolon in "He wanted to learn exactly how he could obtain a solid cash flow from Commercial property; and how to properly analyse the various opportunities" (no punctuation should be used there); a missing word in "he felt that any of his peers or clients saw him at the Workshop, they would undoubtedly wonder why he was there" (the word "if" is missing); and a missing word in "Sure, is a very serious game." (the word "it" is missing. Finding five errors in the very brief sample, some of them egregious, makes me concerned for the remainder of the book.

I appreciate that the cover art conveys a straightforward message of this book's clear and informative focus. The Amazon product description entices prospective readers with mentions of advantageous investment strategies, negotiation tips, marketing tricks, and tax benefits. From gaining perspective and negotiating deals, to settling on loan terms and maximizing profit, this title appears to have given appreciable attention to a great variety of important topics. I also enjoyed seeing the checklist of commercial property benefits. This book appears to have been professionally edited. The one published OBC review is persuasively positive, as are the majority of the 15 currently posted Amazon user ratings. Since I personally have no interest in pursuing commercial real estate options, I will be passing on this one (primarily because I am in no position to start building up my investment wealth at this time). For readers who can appreciate monetary and motivational lessons with investment tips, this one appears to be well organized; I'm sure the end-of-chapter quizzes might prove to be quite beneficial as well!

I would not have sampled this book as I have no true interest in commercial properties. The title is all that I would need to see to pass on it. The OBC review made me curious though. I was right about my initial reaction, the content I read wasn't able to hold my interest and came across like a late night infomercial trying to sell me something. I didn't encounter any editing issues, and I really can't offer a suggestion for improvement. The topic just doesn't appeal to me but from the format and narration, I believe it could be a good starting resource for someone that wants to invest in commercial properties. I am passing on reading any more of this guide.

The cover is suggestive, as it seems to feature real estates and other hints such as a key or a chart. Since it has good responses from the official review and Amazon, I opted for the sample. The copy is divided into several steps towards our goal to make a profit from our investment in commercial property.
I like the practical images and links added to the sample. It shows that the book has actual results and not just some figures. It has good editing, too. The author's points are concise, as he lists the benefits with short sentences. I have no complaints about the book. However, I don't intend to invest in real estate just yet. Since the book is not currently beneficial to me, I don't think I will buy it today.

I currently have no plans to purchase commercial property, but I have learned to never say never. Having purchased residential property before, I was interested in learning about the benefits of commercial ownership. I would have sampled this book even if I were not part of this program. Although the blurb said this book was an audiobook, I was sampling the ebook, so I just kept reading.
The capitalization of common nouns such as plan and tools and random bolded and italicized words detracted from my reading experience. I also found it hard to concentrate on the story shared by the key players Tobi and Carol Johns. Having their whole story in italics had a similar effect as having the whole thing in all caps. It felt like they were yelling at me but not as loudly as if it were all caps. Perhaps this book would have more appeal as an audiobook, but I don’t listen to audiobooks often. I will not buy this book. It seems like the author has lots of experience in commercial real estate, but I do not connect with this writing style. Aside from the anomalies previously mentioned, I noticed a grammatical error at loc 83. There should be a comma after business: “Whether you are in your 30s and earning a good income, or you have just retired, or sold out of your life-long business what you need is a solid Plan that works.”
I thought the featured OnlineBookClub review was generous. Neither it nor the Amazon ratings influenced my decision not to buy this book. A suggestion for improvement would be to use a consistent font presentation.

Based on the cover and title, I would have sampled the book because it appealed to me. I read the official review and sampled Commercial Property Made Easy. I liked that the author and his wife befriended Frank. Just like Frank, I can relate to being awkward at certain events too. I feel that this book offers value in the way of knowledge and I'd like to read more so I can learn the full extent of what it has to offer. Those are the reasons I will be reading the rest of the book. Additionally, I found no errors or areas in need of improvement.

Based on the title and what this book is about, I would not have picked it up to read or sample. The official OBC review gave it a positive review, so I decided to read it for this program. The author is very personable, and you can see his character shine through his writing. I like that he included testimonials as well as additional resources such as audio and available workshops. I didn't find any grammatical errors, and I wouldn’t change anything I read so far. I will not continue the book because I have no interest in commercial property. I think it would be an excellent read for any newcomer to that field of investment.

I could tell from the title and cover of this book that it would be a self-help business advice book. While the topic appeals to me and the OBC review gave it a high rating, I wasn't too interested to read because I think I can find most information I need on this topic online. After sampling the book, I didn't find any errors. I like the format and how everything is organized in a way that is easy for the reader to understand. I'm sure there's a lot of useful information, but I don't think I need to read a whole book about this. So, I won't be reading the rest.

I wouldn't have sampled this book based on its title because I'm not interested in property investments. For the same reason, I won't finish reading it. I like that the author summarized his 45 years of observation and trials into only 9 steps. The inclusion of testimonies, such as those of Toby and Carol, will also help the reader further implement these steps. I don't have any improvement suggestions. I didn't find any grammatical errors while reading. This book has an official OBC review.

The book's title piqued my interest in it. Therefore, I would have read this book had I not even been part of this program. On sampling its first ten pages, I loved Lang's general organisation of the book's contents. For instance, he outlines the benefits of commercial property each in point format. I loved it this way since it enhanced my understanding of the book. I also loved the fact that the book lacks errors in the few pages I read. As a result, I didn't find any of its sections that require improvement. I'm also going to read the book to its last page since I found it to be very educative. It also has an official review from OnlineBookClub.

Considering the book's title, I might have read it because it sounds appealing. However, after reading the sample, I wouldn't buy and read the rest of this book because I am not interested in the business of commercial buildings. The book looks professionally edited, though, as I found no errors in the sample. The one thing I liked most was how the author clearly defined the audience for the book and how he emphasized its benefits. Further, I have no suggestions for improvement. Lastly, I saw an OnlineBookClub review that was nicely written.

I knew I would not be interested in this book before I sampled it. The main reason is that I have no interest in the topic of commercial property. Hence, the cover design and title did not catch my interest either. The book has fifteen customer reviews on Amazon, but this had no impact on my decision. Reading the first ten pages did not make me change my mind. The book begins with some information about the author's background and his credentials. Then, the benefits of investing in commercial property are explained. While I think that this book is a great resource for those interested in this type of investment, I do not plan on getting involved in this business anytime soon. Furthermore, the book does not appear to be professionally edited: for example, the word "plan" is unnecessarily capitalized. There is nothing about the book I particularly liked or disliked: I simply have no interest in commercial property. The book has an official review on this website, but this had no impact on my initial decision.

The cover is average. The synopsis gives us a detailled summary of this book. The Amazon sample introduces the narrator and his wife, who are about to attend a workshop on commercial property as a recommendation from his friend. They meet another participant Frank and they talk about his background in business. It also lists the benefits of investing in commercial property. The sample is short and does nothing to grab my interest. I am not going to buy and read this book as I am not interested in commercial property and so do not consider myself as a target audience for this book. I prefer reading fast-paced mystery thrillers. No typos were found in the first ten pages. I found nothing to improve in the first ten pages. The Official Review is present, and the reviewer rates it highly.

Based on the title and cover, it is non-fiction/self-help book, which I am not in the market for; hence, I would not have sampled it. I have also come across a positive OBC review of the book, but this would not have changed my decision not to sample, since this book does not belong to a genre that I am looking for. After sampling, there are a couple of errors present. For example, at loc 38, the word "commercial" in "...worth of Commercial property deals..." should not be capitalised, as it is not a proper noun. I suggest more rigorous editing. However, I appreciate that the author puts the information he has in bulleted points, as it helps reading clarity and comprehension. For example, I have learned that commercial property is a tangible investment that cannot go bankrupt, unlike commercial companies. In addition, for commercial properties, one can write their own terms on contracts and leases. The average net annual income is also approximately 5% to 8%, depending on the type of property. However, I will not be buying the book today, as I am not in the market to learn more about commercial property.

I wouldn't have chosen this book because I don't usually read nonfiction. Even though the review I read was positive, it didn't make me want to read the book because I'm not interested in investing in property. I didn't find any errors in the first ten pages, and I found it interesting that the author included audio material and quizzes to keep the reader engaged. However, I don't have the money or time to get involved in commercial property right now, so I won't be buying this book.

At first glance, I would not have picked this up because I do not read non-fiction and I am not interested in commercial properties. The cover and title are average. This book seems professionally edited. I liked how the author introduced Tobi and Carol to make this book more relatable. I honestly don't know much about commercial property, so seeing the list of benefits actually had me interested. The official OBC review was positive. I think this could be a very useful tool for people looking to invest in property. Personally, I am just not there yet in my life. Therefore, I will not be reading the rest. I do not have any suggestions for the author.

Based on the cover and the title, I wouldn't have chosen to read or sample the book. The official review was quite insightful, but it didn't change my mind about the book. Even if I wasn't part of this program, I still wouldn't have chosen to read the book. The whole concept isn't interesting to me, so I don't think I would buy and read the whole book. Although I saw from the first ten pages that the book has great potential, it's very professional and quite useful, I didn't change my initial thought of the book.
I think the book was professionally edited, and also very professionally written. Moreover, the thing I liked most about this book was the professionalism and the flow of the writing style. It seems very well thought out. I didn't find a single thing I dislike about it, so I am not able to give any recommendations or suggestions for improvement. I am sure the book is suitable for people interested in Commercial property investment, business people, and so on. It is definitely a very useful and helpful tool for these kinds of readers.

In all honesty, I would not have read the book without The First Ten program. I am not interested in reading business books, so I did not change my mind after reading both the sample and the OBC review. Throughout his book, the author provides precious advice and detailed strategies to those who are interested in investing in commercial properties. From the very beginning of the book, the author highlights the benefits of Commercial property and explains how important it is to make the right choices and to understand and follow certain rules to become a successful commercial property investor. I appreciated the author's clear and concise writing style; it certainly made the sample pleasant to read. Unfortunately, as I found some distracting punctuation errors, I would suggest another round of editing. For example, there should not be a semicolon before "and" in the following sentence: "So, for different reasons, we were all here to learn; and were eager to see how the Workshop would unfold." (location 125 of 167 • 75%) It should be written "mid-30s" in the following sentence: "Both Carol and I are in our mid 30s." (location 108 of 167 • 64%) I also noticed a misplaced comma after "strategies" and another misplaced comma after "price" in the following sentence: "So, Carol was interested to hear Chris’ strategies, on how to negotiate a better price, and maximise our tax benefits." (location 108 of 167 • 64%)

I probably wouldn't have sampled this book without the programme as I wasn't planning to invest in commercial property. Although I have reconsidered that on the basis of the sample and other knowledge I now have about this book, I won't buy it today because I'm not in the USA and wouldn't be buying property there. I would absolutely have to know the relevant tax and other information for my region. This book did, nevertheless, contain many excellent pointers. I liked the reference to the importance of knowing the value of a property and the reference to the error of buying on the basis of emotion rather than logic. I couldn't detect a professional editor's touch. Although the capitalization of adjectives was fairly consistent, I can't see any reason for capitalizing "Commercial" and "Residential", nor for capitalizing words like "contract". "lease" and "workshop" as these are generic nouns. Although in the phrase "Commercial Property is a tangible investment", "Commercial Property" could arguably be capitalized because it is specific, "Commercial property" is used again in the next line. I also saw the following error: "Commercial leases are longer then residential leases" should read "longer than". I was therefore surprised by the statement in the official OBC review that the book seemed professionally edited. Otherwise, however, that review was helpful in pinpointing the structure of the book and the details of the information it contains. It contributed somewhat to my decision, though I might have noted that the book would only be fully relevant for USA investors. I think it could be improved by rethinking the inclusion of the link to an App and audio material. I would have preferred to see this linked somewhere at the end rather than as an interruption in the middle of the text.

The author delves into the insights of residential and commercial property. First, he dispenses his early experience in the market, while still a rookie and lacking adequate knowledge. Tobi Johns then talks about their (him and Carol, his wife) meeting with Frank Tennyson, a local successful businessman. The book was written from the first-person perspective. I loved most the simple language used as I understood every detail. The hypnotic book title and brilliant review (by OBC) piqued my interest in this book, and I would have read it without sampling. Having sampled the first ten pages, I will buy this book since I aspire to venture into the real estate industry in future. It was exceptionally edited, and I have no suggestions worth improvement.

The cover, title, and the genre did not appeal to me. Although the official OBC review rates this full 4 stars, I wouldn't have read this book based on the genre. The first ten pages were without editing issues. The author states the guidelines for property investment. He proposes a set of 9 rules for the required plans and the tools. Later, he introduces the experiences of one person who attended his workshop. While the message is quite clear and no improvements are required, I wouldn't like to read the book as it is not my preferred genre.

As the subject of property management does not interest me, I would have skipped the sample of Commerical Property Made Easy if it was not the OnlineBookClub's book of the day. With this being stated, I will be skipping it even after reading the first ten pages. However, I did enjoy the author's vast knowledge about property investing, as the statistics at the beginning of the book prove this. I cannot think of any improvements to make this book better; the topic is just not relevant to me. I didn't see any grammatical errors either, which lines up with the author's intelligence. There is an official OnlineBookClub review for this book, but I did not need to read it to make a decision about skipping this title.

From the cover page, title to the first 10 pages, you know exactly what this book is about: simple commercial property investing. Since I am an avid fan of residential property investing, I would like to get into the specifics of this form so I would definitely like to pick up this book at some point. The book seems professionally edited as I did not find a single error in my read. I like the concept that it is set out in steps and it has a followable method to the madness of property investing. From what I have read, I don't think anything can be improved upon. The book had an Online Book Review, and it definitely helped flesh out the details of the book.

I'm not into commercial property and investment so my initial assessment is to not read the book. But kudos to the author for writing this informative and insightful book in such an engaging way; I really liked that. The book was also professionally edited. I may not be interested in reading the rest of it but I'm sure other readers will find this very helpful. Based on the OBC official review, this book will be perfect for readers interested in investment and real estate. Also, it was evident that the author put much research into this work, which I greatly appreciate. Personally, I don't think there's anything to improve.

The cover art and book title are intriguing. If I was interested in investing in commercial property, I would definitely select this book. However, I am not an investor and would not be interested in it. The official reviewer rated the book high and said it was clearly laid out. I am not interested in investing in property either commercial or residential. I will not be finishing this book.

Had I not sampled this book through the First Ten program, I would not have chosen it because the title and subject matter don’t appeal to me.
For this reason, I don’t intend to purchase and read the whole book today.
Reading the first ten pages didn’t change my mind about buying the book, but I can see how informative it is for readers interested in commercial investments.
Based on what I read the book seems professionally edited.
I didn’t see errors in the first ten pages.
What I liked most about what I read is how organized and well-written this book is.
I know that fans of informative self-help books will enjoy this guide.
As far as improvements, I could see no need for any in what I read.
I did read the Official Online Book Club review and found it insightful. It didn’t affect my views of the book.

'Commercial Property Made Easy' is a non-fiction book. It is written by Chris Lang. The book outlines the way to invest successfully in commercial properties. The book starts off with the accounts of Tobi Johns, Carol Johns, and Frank Tennyson. They attended the author's workshop. Tobi points out the key advantages of commercial properties. It should have been “he felt that if any of his peers or clients saw him..” instead of “he felt that any of his peers or clients saw him..” I do not think that it is professionally edited. I like the way the author started off the book with accounts of people who benefited from his methods. This builds confidence in the reader. The title and cover were apt. The OBC Review and the Amazon Reviews were great as well. However, I will give this book a skip as I do not have an interest in commercial properties as of now.

If I had not sampled this book as part of this program, I would not have chosen to sample it based on its title, cover, or Official OnlineBookClub review because I am not interested in investing in commercial property. Reading the first ten pages has not changed my mind - I am still not interested in investing in commercial property. Therefore, I will not be reading the rest of the book since I do not find a need for it. The book does seem professionally edited. My favorite part of what I read was how straightforward and easy to understand the book seems to be.

This book wouldn't have captured my attention outside the program based on its title and cover. The subject matter doesn't interest me, and I have no need for the information since I don't see myself investing in Commercial Property purchases anytime soon. Reading the sample didn't change my mind. The material didn't call out to me. I do agree, though, that "a plan...to quickly identify the emerging opportunities" and "tools...to analyse and choose the very best from among those potential opportunities" cannot be overemphasized. It's never too late to make a worthy financial investment, regardless of age. Unfortunately, Commercial Property acquisition isn't the ace I've got up my sleeve. The book was professionally edited; I found no errors. I saw an OBC review, but it didn't influence my decision.

If I were not a member of this program, it is highly unlikely that I would have run across this book, much less been led to it by the genre, title, cover, or author. The genre and title identify it as being business-related, specifically, the real estate sector. The multiple pictures on the cover are appropriate for the subject. As I have little to no interest in that type of investment, none of these factors would have prompted me to pick up the book. The author is unknown to me, so that would not have influenced my decision. The blurb effectively spells out what the book contains but was not at all engaging and did not affect my formation of an opinion about the book. All save one of the customer reviews on the Amazon site were complimentary of the book. The one negative did not spell out why the reviewer disliked the book, so I could not evaluate it from that angle. Although I did not see a review from this program on the Amazon site, if I had, I would have been interested in what the reviewer had to say. The review on this site was also very positive, which gave a good impression of the book going into the sample. The sample was exceedingly short but did disclose in the contents the 9-step process the author promises to reveal and discuss. I did like that the book seemed to be thoroughly organized. However, as I said before, I have little interest in this sort of investment. Despite the author's encouraging tone, the sample was unsuccessful in tempting me toward this type of investment. Thus, I have decided not to read the book. The book seemed well-edited. I found no 'countable' errors in the sample.

Without the first ten program I would not have been interested in reading about investing in commercial property. Reading the first ten pages did not change my mind.
What I liked best was the free app that would help to analyze the profitability of a property. I thought it was nice that the author was offering an actual tool that could be downloaded, and not just written advice. The book seemed to be professionally edited. I have no suggestions for improvements.
The OnlineBookClub review did not influence my decision. I have no desire to become a commercial property investor, so I will not be reading the whole book.

I have to say; I was not drawn to this book from the title and cover alone. After reading the official review, I felt more optimistic but was still convinced that I would not be reading the entire book. The portion I did read was well-written and well-edited with nothing that needed to be improved. I enjoyed the stories at the beginning of other people who shared their early mistakes with investing in real estate. What I liked were the pictures included in the book. Even after I finished reading the first ten pages, I flipped through a few more to see more images. This book can be a valuable resource for people interested in investing in commercial real estate. The author's enthusiasm over commercial property investing comes through as he shares his strategies to help others become just as successful as he has been in the business. I don't care about any real estate investing, so I won't be finishing the book. But I believe it will be an excellent help to those who want to try or are already doing commercial real estate investing.

After reading the blurb, I wouldn't pick this book up because I'm not into commercial real estate and I don't typically read non-fiction so I'm not the target audience for this. After reading the sample, I did spot a few errors. In the chapter entitled Gaining Perspective, "...or sold out of your life-long business what you need is a solid Plan..." there should be a comma after business. What I liked best about the book so far is how straightforward and easy to read this book is. Investing in commercial real estate on the surface sounds kind of complicated to me since I'm not really familiar with that world. So I really enjoy how the author simplifies the steps in the beginning. For example, he condenses his methods to a 9 step Investment formula and also offers his readers other resources on how they can learn more. This book definitely seems to be very informative and engaging without being overly complicated and getting bogged down with details. The only suggestion for improvement I have would be to fix the errors. There was an onlinebookclub review, but I'm not the target audience for this so I won't be reading the rest.

I decided to sample the book, Commercial Property Made Easy by Chris Lang, after seeing an official review on OBC about its informative contents. The book seemed professionally edited, and I encountered no grammar errors/typos. Although if I hadn’t read the first ten pages of the book, I wouldn't have sampled it in the first place because I'm not a fan of commercial property books. I liked that the author has sufficient experience. But because I wasn't captivated by the bits I read, I will not be buying and reading the whole book. The book seems to target a specific audience.

This is not a book that I would have chosen if it were not part of the program. The title did not interest me because I am not in the market for commercial property. The cover was a surprise. Just for fun, I clicked on the arrow thinking that it was just a picture; I was shocked when a creepy voice started speaking. Reading the blurb told me that this was an audiobook; however, I was able to download a print version. I was not impressed with the blurb as there were random words that were capitalized such as the word Book. Reading the first ten pages did not change my mind. I was annoyed with so many passages that were in bold print. I felt that it lessened the effect by having so many. The review was very positive and mentioned that it was well-edited. I did, however, find an error on the author page. The sentence, "And I am now happy to share with you what I discovered along the way in this book- being my 7th on Commercial Property Investing; and probably, the most action-oriented one so far." The semi-colon is used incorrectly here. I will not finish reading this book because I am not interested in the subject. My suggestion for improvement would be to eliminate the unnecessary capitalizations and excess use of the bold font. The only positive comment I can make is that I liked the cover.

The section "Did you know?" presents interesting aspects, for example, the free app that allows evaluating properties in a short time. From the beginning, the author makes it clear that he makes all his years of experience available to readers in a material condensed into a nine-step investment formula.
The sample does not yet reveal the steps in the formula, but it comments on aspects that make the book attractive. The author includes complimentary material like a 37-minute audio and a Home Study Course for those who want to deepen. Another part of the sample tells of when Tobi and Carol Johns come to Chris's workshop and meet Frank Tennyson. That Tennyson was there was an indication that the workshop had something good to teach. One lesson from the little I read is that the Commercial properties have a slower investment risk in comparison to Residential properties and the share market.
This work seems very pedagogical and practical for those who are interested in the subject. I am interested but not at this time so I would prefer postponing this reading. The official review contains clues to the author's formula but it still remains unknown. The editing seems adequate although I noticed a typo at 77% of the sample in the phrase "Commercial leases are longer then Residential leases." It looks like it should be than instead of then. The cover is eye-catching as it mentally moves you into the commercial property and Real Estate businesses. In conclusion, I think I will not read the rest of the book in the near future.

The title and cover make the subject of the book apparent. However, commercial property and real estate investment in general are not topics that interest me. The synopsis on Amazon had several grammatical errors, which made me dread reading the first ten pages. The official Online Book Club review gave the book a perfect rating of 4 out of 4 stars. Though I was glad to learn that the book is only 92 pages and thus very concise, the review did not make me think that I might actually enjoy the book. "Sure, is a very serious game" (loc. 161). It's a very serious game. I didn't notice many other errors and believe the work was professionally edited. I appreciated how direct the author was. There wasn't a lot of filler. However, the book just doesn't interest me and I won't be finishing it.

I would not have sampled this book outside the program based on the title because I am never going to be involved in the commercial property industry. This book has a very specific audience. Reading the sample pages provided did not change my mind since no matter how well the book is written, its contents will never apply to me.
I found numerous punctuation errors in the text. I understand that this book was published in Australia and is using British standards for punctuation (such as spaced en dashes and single quotation marks), but there are many punctuation errors present that are true errors regardless of publishing region. For example, two unnecessary commas break up the following sentence (written by Frank):
"So, Carol was interested to hear Chris' strategies[,] on how to negotiated a better price[,] and maximise our tax benefits" (Loc. 119).
Additionally, semi-colons are used incorrectly, linking fragments rather than complete sentences. For example (also written by Frank):
"He wanted to learn exactly how he could obtain a solid cash flow from Commercial property[;] and how to properly analyse the various opportunities" (Loc. 128).
No punctuation is necessary in the bracketed areas of either example.
I also noticed that Chris begins many of his sentences with the words "and" and "because." While this is permissible stylistically, when used in excess, it appears unprofessional, especially in a nonfiction work.
The thing I liked best about the sample was that when Chris was narrating, his sections were in standard type, whereas when Frank was narrating, his sections were italicized. This made transitions between the two contributors fluid. For improvement, I would recommend that the book be submitted to an experienced editor. The official OBC review was positive, but had no impact on my decision to not purchase the book.

I found the cover of this book quite refreshing, not at all the most typical one for this genre. Unfortunately, discovering the topic from the title and blurp ruled the book out of my shopping list as I am unable to find the slightest interest in this topic in me. Reading the sample pages proved that this book is exceptionally well structured and edited. Also, the author’s writing style is far away from boring. I liked the fact that the author included a story of one of his workshop participants. On second thought, maybe he could’ve included more success stories to give even more credibility to the book. To conclude, reading the available Official OnlineBookClub review and the sample pages confirmed that this book is not the one for me. However, it is a magnificent source of information for those interested in commercial property investment.

‘Commercial Property Made Easy’ by Chris Lang is not my ‘go-to’ genre. Therefore, neither the title nor the cover art appeals to me. However, having read the official onlinebookclub.org review, I appreciate that this work may be of great value to those interested in investing. Having also had the opportunity to sample ‘Commercial Property Made Easy,’ I was pleased to find that the layout and formatting – the length of paragraphs, the variable font, special characters, such as ticks imitating a checklist – are very reader-friendly. It also seems to be professionally edited and proofread, which, in my eyes, adds credibility to the content. Regardless of the positives of both the potential reading-pleasure for those that are that way inclined and the potential benefits of acquiring knowledge and understanding of the investment world, I will not be reading it as I prefer different genres.

The cover and the title indicated to me that this book should be a guide on buying commercial property. Just knowing that, I read the official review of this book because I was curious to know what this book offers for me. The official review helped me to understand that this is a commercial property investment guide book with graphic illustrations and links to other resources like the apps and the video tutorials. This information intrigued me to read the sample of the book before purchasing it. When I read the first ten pages, I realized that this book is professionally edited because I did not find any grammatical or typing errors. The thing l liked the most is the list that indicated the benefits of investing in a commercial property. However, the list appeared too optimistic to me. I did not find any list regarding the disadvantages of buying commercial property, which could be suitable for the readers who may not want to take certain kinds of risks. My suggestion to the author would be to address the shortcomings raised by me in the above sentence. Considering all these facts, I decided not to purchase and read this book today but wait until the author could help by addressing my suggestion so that reading the book would be rewarding for me.

The topic is something I am currently uninterested in, so I will not pick up this book. The cover looked crowded and the box containing the title seemed like an afterthought. It looked floating on top of the photos and not part of the entire composition. As for the title, it was straight forward, which made it easy to remember. But different font sizes were used for the main title. The blurb and reviews were mostly enthusiastic. Sampling the first ten pages did not increase my interest. However, I appreciated the use of icons to identify the activity on the book (light bulb for learning and dialogue box for anecdotes) I also liked that important lessons were in bullets for quick reference. Meantime, I did not notice grammar and typo errors on the pages sampled. For improvement, I suggest adding case studies for each type of commercial property to show that the proposed 9 step formula applies to all. There was an Official OnlineBookClub review but it did not change my mind. I will not finish reading the book but will consider it some other time.

I had a feeling that I won't be reading this book since I first saw it. I also have a natural tendency to reject non-fiction, so that's another reason. The OBC review presented the book in a positive light but didn't manage to convince me. The sample was nice though. The author seems to be giving valuable advice from his own experience. He makes it easy for the reader to grasp all the information by using a simple vocabulary and organizing his ideas. In the beginning, when he addresses the book to people in their 30's, retired, and everyone that's in between, I couldn't find myself there, since I'm 20 and an artist, so this book is not for me. Nothing about this book makes me want to read it because it isn't my domain. The editing seemed fine.

I like the cover and the blurb of the book, especially that the author outlines the steps that he will explain, so the reader knows what to expect. The book has mixed ratings but my reason not to buy it is that I have no money to invest and I'm not from the USA. I'm sure the market and the laws for investing are different in my country.
What I liked the most about the first ten pages is Tobi's narration, because it makes the book more relatable. Otherwise, it just presents, as a lot of books, a "formula for success" without an anchor in real-life. I like the honesty of it, too. For example, when Tobi says that his wife, Carol, was hesitant and that Mr. Tennyson, was a little ashamed to be seen in a beginner's workshop.
I found one editing "mistake", but since this is a real person talking, we cant expect flawless grammar. There's an "if" missing before "any" on position 135: "You see, he felt that any of his peers or clients saw him at the Workshop, they would undoubtedly wonder why he was there". I don't think anything needs improvement because these minor mistakes on the spoken part don't reflect on the quality of the editing or interfere in the comprehension of the narrative. The book has an official review but it didn't change my mind because it doesn't change my current situation.

From the cover, blurb, and review of this book, I wouldn’t have read it. I have no interest in getting into the real-estate market and therefore don't have a use for this book. After reading the first ten pages I didn’t change my mind and therefore will not be buying and reading the rest of this book. I appreciated the format of the book, in particular, the concept of teaching moments. The first one was interesting as it laid out some key points differentiating commercial property from residential property. That being said, I'm just not interested enough in this kind of investment to pick this one up. I didn’t see anything specific that I would have wanted to change within the sample that I read, but it did seem well written and edited. The official review did not affect my decision at all.

I'm not interested in commercial property investment, so I would not have sampled this book without The First Ten, and I am not going to buy the book. I did like the conversational writing style. It feels like the narrator is sitting and talking with the reader in person. It makes the book an easy read. I did not find any editing mistakes, and nothing needs to be improved. The official review did not affect my opinion.

Commercial Property Made Easy by Chris Lang is a non-fiction/ self-help book that brings finances simply and efficiently. If I didn't sample this book, and based on the genre, I wouldn't read it since I'm not interested in learning more about commercial property investment, and I'm not into self-help books. When I saw its Official OnlineBookClub review, I thought that the book wasn't really for me because of the aspects of advice in it. After sampling it, I didn't change my mind, and I won't read the entire book since the theme didn't catch my eye. However, I enjoyed the fact that the author brings pictures and a simple language to make the book practical. Besides, it seems professionally edited, and I didn't find any errors or typos. I think there's nothing to be improved in this book, and I'm not going to read it because business books don't fit my preferences.

I am not a targeted audience for this book. I have very little interest in reading or learning about commercial property. After reading Offical OnlineBookClub, I am glad to hear it is a well-done book, and I will surely recommend it if someone needs a book about these topics. The sample doesn't tell me much about this book. I like the statement made about 45 years long research. Undoubtedly, it is a good book that is based on the analysis. I like that the narration is easy to understand. I didn't notice any grammar errors, and I wouldn't change anything about the book.

Due to my total lack of interest in commercial property investment, the cover, title, genre, blurb, editorial reviews, and customer reviews would not have affected my decision not to buy the book. If I had the interest, they would have. The title and cover are both eye-catching, and the OnlineBookClub review was very supportive of the book. I think this book is a must-read for anyone interested in commercial property investment. I liked the short exercises the author provided, did not see anything to change in the book, and did not note any typographical or grammatical errors.

Commercial property investment is an intimidating topic for most people. This book begins with an overview of the advantages of commercial property compared to residential property and made it sound so simple. I would not have picked this book up based on the cover alone because I would never have thought of commercial real estate as a potential investment for me. Since the title and cover are clear about the topic of the book, I would not have picked the book up based on the cover alone. The Online Book Club review gave the book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. This made me more interested in the book. The OBC review was helpful because I couldn’t find a customer review to read. I didn’t see any errors in the first ten pages, so I believe the book was professionally edited. I also didn’t see any area that the author could improve upon. I would like to finish reading this book because the concept sounds intriguing to me and I would like to learn more about it. For example, the first ten pages explained that commercial properties that you rent out have longer leases and the rental payments are more reliable than residential leased properties. This is information I wasn’t aware of before reading the first ten pages.

The Official Review is spot on in describing the book and the cover is appealing. Nevertheless, the review would not have prompted me to read the book as I have no interest in the subject whatsoever. I will not be reading any of it beyond the first ten. I most liked the strategy of separating the author's text from the participants' comments by using regular script and italics. There is nothing that I disliked and I see no reason for improvement. The book seems professionally edited as I found no errors or typos.

Total ~ 10%
Commercial Property Made Easy earned a score of 10%.
In other words, out of the top-level reviewers who read at least the first 10 pages of this book, 10% plan to read the whole book.
IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable.
Over a million books are published each year. Any given person could not even read .0001% of the books out there. This means readers have to be very selective. Even taking the time to look over reviews and blurbs, let alone read samples, is more time than most readers can afford for most books. The First Ten is a powerful focus group that addresses those issues. It creates a helpful tool for authors, publishers, and other readers.
