The First Ten Focus Group Feedback for 10 Spiritual Little Nuggets On Business
Because 10 Spiritual Little Nuggets On Business was Book of the Day, some of our most trusted members have carefully looked over the cover, the description, and other aspects of this book as a part of purchase-intent focus group. We then asked each participant in the focus group if they planned to buy and read the book, and why they planned to buy and read the book or not. Their answer to that question and reasons are displayed below. We call this awesome feature The First Ten Focus Group.
Keep in mind, the responses from the members are not reviews. This is purchase-intent focus group which means the participants are people who have NOT yet bought or read your book. A purchase-intent focus group is an important and extremely useful marketing tool for any product, not just books. For other products, you might walk on the street and show people an item in a package and poll them about whether they would buy if or $X or not. These kind of focus groups are one of the ways big marketing companies find the ideal price points for products and test the effectiveness of different packaging. The focus group can help you identify your market so you how to target ads of your book, and it can (but may not) provide you new useful info about your "packaging" (e.g. your book cover, your book synopsis on Amazon, etc.). The point of the focus group comments is to give you information from people who have not bought or read your book about why they plan to buy your book which will help you in marketing the book. These are not reviews or critiques of your book because they are not from people have read the book. This is a marketing tool, not reviews. The trick of book marketing and book advertising is that you have to convince people who have not read your book yet that your book is worth buying and reading. For marketing, it doesn't matter much if people love your book after reading it if you cannot convince potential buyers before they read it that they will love it.
IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable. This is because we only poll about 20 or so readers, and all readers have to say "no" to almost all books. Over a million books are published each year. Even a very active reader cannot come close to even reading 1% of books out there.
This is also why publishing books is such a tough industry.

The book contains wisdom and words from God with scripture to help readers navigate their business ventures. I wouldn't have read the book based on its blurb alone as I wasn't interested in reading any spiritual or religious book. While the sample was fairly short, the thing I did pick up on was the tone of motivation and faith in the author's writing. What I liked the most is how the scripture directly resonates with what the author explains in comprehensible language. Also, inclusion of prayers makes this book a good read for believers and Christian readers. Clearly, this is a read that would suit best to Christian business owners or someone who is venturing into a new business. I would rate the book as professionally edited as I didn't find any editing errors. I did see an official OBC review for the book. I wouldn't be reading the whole book, though, due to my disinterest in the genre. I don't have anything to recommend for improvements based on what I read.

The title "10 Spiritual Little Nuggets on Business" and the cover that shows a book convey that the book is about imparting spiritual tips for running businesses. There is only one Amazon customer rating on the book which is not a sufficient number for me to decide if I should sample the book or not. The Amazon summary states that the book contains tips about running businesses based on God's word. As I am not interested in this theme, I would have skipped sampling if not for the First Ten program. As I sampled through the book, I found the narration containing a saying from the Bible and a prayer. As I am not interested in this theme, I am not going to read this book in full. I found the sample professionally edited. There were no grammatical or mechanical errors in the sample. I didn't like anything specifically about the book. I don't have any recommendations for the improvement of the book. Although I found 1 OBC review of the book, my decision to not to read the book in full is based on my own sampling.

I wouldn’t have sampled the book based on the genre, as I wasn’t interested in self-help books. I like how each chapter has a creative title. The book begins with a paragraph that tells how God is the creator of everything there is in the world. The author also adds a verse from the Bible towards the end of this paragraph. I’m not a religious person, so I don’t think this book is for me. I’m not going to read the book because of this. The text is well edited. I disliked nothing, and I didn’t see anything that needed improvement. The OBC review did not affect my decision.

Though I have business, I will not pick this book because business ventures in our place is different from the author's experiences. The sample contains a short prayer and explanation about the free gift from God, which I like. Fortunately, the sample doesn't have errors, so I assume the rest of the book is professionally edited. I'm glad that the book has OBC review that really affects my decision. Lastly, there's nothing I can recommend for improvement because the book flows well.

I would have sampled this book outside of the program based on its title because I dream of starting a business in the future, and I wanted to read the author’s insights on this topic. After reading the entire book, I can say that it is well edited, as I did not notice any errors. I liked that the book was succinct because I find that similar books drag out their advice unnecessarily. Personally, I would have liked this book better if it focused more on the aspect of business. However, it was clear that this book is intended for more religious people. I have no suggestions for improvement, but I think that other readers would like it if the book was a bit longer. Its official OBC review encouraged me to read the book, since it was stated in the review that it was a short read.

Had I not sampled this book as part of the first ten program, I still would have been interested in reading this book. What piqued my interest in this book was the title. Plus, upon reading the official Online Book Club review I knew I wanted to read the book. I had an interest in the subject matter covered by the book. I am going to be buying this book. Reading the first ten pages intensified my desire in finishing this book. I enjoyed reading the ten-page sample. I wouldn't say the editing was exceptionally done. I did find an error while reading. The error is located in the last sentence of page 4 (If you have is wisdom). One of the things I like about this book is the inclusion of Bible verses and prayers at the end of each section. Given the fact that I found an error, I think the editing of the book could have been better.

I presume the book on the cover is a Bible; the other items are blurry, though. Learning from the synopsis that the book was a mere 13 pages, I read all of it. (Of course, it helped that the book was free. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought it.) I do not have a business, but I could see how the book could be useful to an entrepreneur. I liked the scripture verses and the prayers that concluded each of the ten parts of the book. I didn't like the errors, though, and there were many. Here are some of them: The heading "WHO DOES YOUR CHARACTER REPRESENTS?" should have used "REPRESENT." "In everything you do should give glory to God" on page 5 didn't need "in." On page 9, "Pray and answered these questions above" would have been better as "Pray and answer the above questions." The official OBC reviewer suggested that the author expand the book. I think it is meant to be short. A business owner can start every workday by praying with the book. What the author needs to do is to get the book properly edited. The cover may need some refining as well. I believe the reader will be blessed more if they don't have to complain about the bad grammar.

As an entrepreneur, I would have read this book based on its title, which hinted at business. The book deploys scriptures from the Bible. I liked that the author embraces that God is instrumental in an individual's life. However, I will not complete reading this book because it seems centered in God's role in business only. It wasn't exceptionally edited since I flagged a grammatical error (The Lord orders psalm 37:23 "The steps of a good man: and he delighted in his way." It should be 'Psalm.' Page 4). I recommend incorporating page numbers in the table of contents because some segments can be read independently. The OBC review didn't affect my decision about this book.

I would not have read the book without the program as I do not enjoy reading books that are not story based. The first ten pages were not to my liking. The author mainly associates everything with a prayer to God and gives vagues ideas like being true to yourself and be honest and kind. Mostly this book feels more like a sermon rather than a book that helps you in your business ventures. So, I am not interested in reading this book as I do not like the contents. Also, I prefer reading fast-paced mystery books so this book is not really my cup of tea. So I will not read the rest of this book. No typos were found on the first ten pages. I found nothing to improve on the first ten pages. The official OBC review is present and the reviewer rates "3 out of 4 stars."

Upon going over the title's Amazon page and official OnlineBookClub review, I decided not to acquire the book. I am not a business owner, so I do not think perusing the non-fiction title would be beneficial to me. I also did not find myself interested in learning about the connection between the concepts of "business" and "faith." I believe I am not part of the book's target audience. Reading its Amazon sample did not change my mind. I would not purchase it because nothing in the text intrigued me or convinced me I would enjoy reading the rest of the book. It is also because sampling the non-fiction title failed to dispel my initial opinions about the book. The sample is so short that it only includes some pages of the chapter "Heaven Creative Ideals." My favorite part is when the author said they prayed that the book will help readers experience growth both in their business and their relationship with God. I was not able to identify any errors in the sample; the book seems professionally edited to me. I have no advice to offer to the author.

The title and cover weren’t appealing to me because I don’t own a business and have no interest in business or spirituality, so I wouldn’t have sampled the book on my own. The official review by OBC gave this book 3 out of 4 stars.
I noticed editing issues right away in the section titled Acknowledgment. This sentence is problematic:
“I pray your business flourish and your relationship with God.“ (p. 2)
Either “business” needs to be plural or “flourish” needs to be conjugated correctly as “flourishes.” The second half of the sentence has no verb. If the author intends to say that she hopes the reader’s relationship with God flourishes, rather than “and” it should say “as well as.”
Even one of the chapter titles has typos:
“WHO DOES YOUR CHARACTER REPRESENTS?”
It should read “What Does Your Character Represent?”
The content of the book is littered with errors, as expected.
The official reviewer stated there were no noticeable errors, which is disappointing because there are an abundance of them.
There is quite frankly nothing that I enjoy about this book. The errors are distracting. The subject matter is of no interest to me. I would highly recommend that the author submit this book to an editor for review. I will not be finishing this book for the reasons I have listed.

I guessed from the cover and the title of this book that it is a spiritual book to help businesses. Therefore, I considered reading the OBC official review of this book to know more about the takeaways from this book. The OBC official review gave me the idea that the book gives us spiritual guidance for successfully running a business. This information motivated me to read the sample of the book before purchasing it. When I read the first ten pages, I realized that this book is not professionally edited because I found some grammatical errors in the sample. For example, the sentence, "Giving a part of your harvest may come philanthropic donations, community development, feeding the poor, orphans, or helping the needy and shelter for the homeless...". The sentence could have been as follows. "Giving a part of your harvest may come from philanthropic donations, community development, feeding the poor, orphans, or helping the needy and shelter for the homeless...". What l liked the most in this book is the idea that we need to dedicate all the honor of our business to God, which can make us put all the energy into the business. My suggestion to the author would be to go for a round of professional editing and make the book a bit easier to read. Anyway, I find the book very enlightening because I think it reveals the true recipe for success. I decided to purchase this book today and read it because I may gain a lot of things by reading it.

Despite a stunning official OBC review, I wouldn't have read the book because of its genre. While sampling the first ten pages, I could not find any errors. The author described how God has created the Earth and provided us with everything we need. We just need to listen to Him and follow His path. Each small section ends in a scripture and a prayer. I didn't particularly like anything in this book. Since I am neither a Christian nor interested in businesses, I was clearly not the audience for this book. Hence, I wouldn't venture to suggest any improvements, either. For the same reason, I wouldn't read the entire book.

If it's not for this program, I wouldn't read this. Based on the official review from OnlineBookClub and Amazon's blurb, the book is not my cup of tea. There is only one rating on Amazon. The sample begins with the first nugget, which discusses God.
Because not much of the content is shown in the sample, I don't understand what the author is trying to say, and I like nothing. I don't know if the editing is good either. I have no suggestions for improvement, but since I don't like the book, I won't buy it.

I don't own a business and I don't like religious books, so this one appeals to me 0%. The title is misleading; by referring to "spirituality" instead of "Christianity", it makes the book look like it is also applicable to spiritual non-Christians, which is patently false. Because the book is only 13 pages (which I didn't realize before I started, since I hadn't yet read the official OBC review), I accidentally read it almost in its entirety for this First Ten entry. I found it to be completely useless. Because it is so short, it doesn't have time to make any arguments or suggest new ideas. Rather, it does nothing but regurgitate Christian dogmas with the word "business" thrown in periodically. None of the ideas are relevant enough to running a business or are developed sufficiently to be worth anything; the book amounts to 13 pages of reciting "God first" with nothing further to add. I got nothing out of the text, and I doubt that many readers would, either. The author really limits herself, too, because the only readers who will even wish to try to read it are readers who already agree with her and therefore gain nothing. I can't think of a single thing to like about this book. I found two errors: missing capitalization in "God originated everything on planet earth" (Earth); and a nonsense sentence reading "In everything you do should give glory to God" (either remove the "In" or add ", you" after "do").

I would not have sampled this book based on the genre, blurb, OBC review, cover and title. I don’t read non-fiction or religious books. After reading the first ten pages, I won’t be finishing this book. I liked the consistent format. Every nugget had the nugget followed by a piece of scripture and a prayer. However, I’m just not into the religious aspect, and the book doesn’t really apply to me as I am not a Christian business owner. The editing also needs improvement as I noticed errors that told me it wasn’t professionally edited. For example there was a parenthesis before “such as”, but it was left open as there wasn’t a second one anywhere. I don’t read books that aren’t edited.

Before reading the book's first pages, I wasn't interested in it because nothing on the cover or the title got my attention. After sampling the book, I don't want to continue reading it because I don't believe in God or the bible. I don't pray but I like that there was a short prayer for every scripture at the end of the "spiritual nugget." This book seems professionally edited and has an official Online BookClub review. There was nothing I saw that needed improvement.

The cover is simple, but relays the book's intentions. I would have passed on this book because I am not looking to go into business. I did like how the author kept the focus on Biblical scripture. Professionally edited, however, I would have liked to have more content. The chapters were short and would probably have more impact if the author would have more examples or perhaps current day experiences. The OBC review had stated that as a negative as well, and did influence my decision to pass on this book. I am passing because of the lack of content.

The overall appearance of the book is clean and a bit eye-catching, in my opinion. When I read through the official OBC review, I felt that I wouldn't be able to appreciate the book since I'm not usually fond of reading non-fiction, especially ones involving business. If I weren't a part of this program, I wouldn't have read the sample at all since the book's cover, genres, and summary didn't interest me enough to want to check it out willingly.
When I finished sampling the first few pages, I decided not to read the rest of the book. I spotted a few errors in the contents, one of them located at page four: "If you have is wisdom, God will bless you with a stable mind and a peaceful heart." The author's writing style was a bit awkward and kind of confusing for me, especially because I am uninterested in anything religious as part of a main topic. I did agree with the part where all the honor and glory of our business should be dedicated to God since it is because of His blessings and our endless faith in Him. I also liked the emphasis on one's first harvest to be dedicated to God since that is one of the ways how we show our love for Him.
As I read on further, however, I already have more or less the same opinion as the author's, so I was not really interested in reading any more. I am also not interested in anything business-related, so I will have to pass on this one. In terms of improvements, in my opinion, I suggest that the author should try to work on the minor errors/typos that are left in the book and also to lessen the redundant words and descriptions for an easier reading flow.

The title and the cover did not interest me. I would not have chosen to read this book. The Amazon blurb was too short and had too many errors, which convinced me not to read the book. The OBC reviewer mentioned several things which further convinced me to not read the book. I liked the scripture and the prayer at the beginning of each chapter. There were several errors in the book. The first one was, "If you have [is] wisdom . . ." I suggest that the author take the advice of the OBC reviewer and add to the book.

Looking at the title alone, it is obvious that the book contains religious themes (but aims to help readers in business). I am not in the market for self-help books (in the business sector) with religious themes – hence, I would not have sampled it. Despite coming across a positive OBC review, I would not have changed my mind regarding sampling because I am not looking for business self-help books. There are, regrettably, numerous errors present. For example, at 15%, the word "earth" in "...everything on planet earth..." should be capitalised; this is because "Earth" is being used as a proper noun, which necessitates capitalisation. I suggest more rounds of rigorous editing, as the number of errors impede comprehension. Still, what I think should be appreciated in this book (or what I think is the best aspect) is that each chapter is kept short and to the point; also, the step-by-step process written down is useful. For example, the author asks the reader what the foundation of the latter's business is like (i.e., stable or shaky) and what the short and long-term goals of the business are. However, there is much to be improved about the book – I suggest including an introduction, where the author's motivations and inspirations are discussed. The introduction will help readers to better understand the author as a person, which will make the content of the book more relatable. Additionally, as already mentioned, the numerous grammar errors impede comprehension, and personally, there also seems to be too heavy a reliance on faith for a self-help book. The author could perhaps consider including more pragmatic advice for the reader. However, I will not be reading the rest of the book due to the heavy religious themes present, in addition to the high number of errors present.

I have read the ten pages of this book, and it is not my kind of book. Firstly, I don't like motivational books, they all rely the same message. I know this book is meant to mix business with scriptures and help business oriented people to be successful and motivate them to work. I would not read this book, because it is just the same thing every motivational book tries to tackle, the only difference in this, its that it has scriptures.
The few pages I read, the editing in it is professional, I found no errors. This book had an official onlinebookclub review. The review was well written and it made me read the book.

If it hadn't been for this program, I wouldn't have sampled this book based on its title, cover, or Official OnlineBookClub review because I am not a big fan of self-help books, especially when they're about religion. After reading part of the book, I won't continue to read it because I do not plan on having a business, and I already try to conduct myself according to God's values. My favorite part of what I read was the little prayers at the end of each section. For some reason, the prayers resonated with me more than anything else. The book appears professionally edited. To improve it, I would add a short section about the author's life in the beginning. I think this would help establish the author's credibility.

I knew I wasn't going to like this book. First of all, I'm not interested in business. The title is funny, but I wouldn't trust someone who uses the word "nugget" to give me business advice. Anyway, I don't need it, since it's not my field, so the book's appearance had no effect on me. Second of all, the OBC review emphasized the religious side of this book, which I see now that it is the main subject. As I'm not religious, I had no interest in reading this book. The writing style is very simple and on point, but I don't agree with the author's beliefs. It seems good that it is so short, but I couldn't even finish it because of that. Since this book is clearly intended for Christians, I can't suggest any improvement, as the book seems appropriate only for that category. I found a typo in "If you have is wisdom."

Today's BOTD is business connected to Bible. The author presents 10 little prayers that should help the reader with their work. This book is very religious, and as a believer, I would sample it. Since I have no connection to business yet, I will not read the rest of the book. I think it is a great piece for someone who is seeking help, but not for me. I have found an error: "God originated everything on planet earth..." I think that 'earth' should be 'Earth'. This book has the official OBC review, and I wouldn't change anything in it. There is nothing I dislike about it.

I think Irene Jones has hit a home run by crafting this book; however, what worries me is how brief the book is and how plain its texts are. Basically, what a reader like me looks for in a book is a unique and detailed explanation or teaching about something or a topic. I’m familiar with almost all the bible verses in this book, and I can’t see any unique approach or interpretation of the quoted verses. I think the book could have been more impactful suppose the author brought a deeper insight into how some popular and less popular biblical personalities understood and applied these little nuggets in their success we read in the scripture. Otherwise, the book had a good cover page, and its title is also attractive. It had an official online OnlineBookClub review, which gave insight into what the book is all about. The Amazon website’s description also served its purpose well. I did encounter one error on page 4: “If you have (is) wisdom, God will bless you…” However, I would still guess the book was professionally edited. I have no other recommendation for the improvement of this book, apart from the aforementioned. Having read the sample and the OnlineBookClub review, I’m not going to finish reading this book because I think I already know much about its content.

I think the image of the cover is unattractive. The title is consistent with the content and the central theme. I consider interested readers may be enticed. The topic of tips for business as well as the Christian nuance is of my interest. The only customer review is favorable and mentions that the book is intended for business-minded Christians. The blurb highlights the Christian bent and comments on the content of 10 nuggets with scriptures to help to succeed in business. Based on these elements, I am inclined to test this book. The first ten pages encompassed most of the ten nuggets. I like the Christian approach, but it might scare off a potential non-Christian audience. I find the inclusion of scriptures and prayers in each nugget to be convenient as it gives it practicality. That way, the reader can employ an analogy and grasp the utility. The advice or nugget that I liked the most was the one titled "What is the Foundation of your Business", especially the comment on the appointment of God as CEO. Besides being fun, it can be inspiring. In the official OnlineBookClub review, an observation is made that the book could have been more extensive and thus give it depth and reinforce what was exposed. Thereon, I agree with the reviewer. The editing seems adequate although I noticed a couple of references to the word "earth" in lowercase referring to the planet, which I think is valid. Also, on page 4 it says "If you have is wisdom." It seems like it should be "If you have wisdom." Other than the comments, I didn't see anything else that I believe could be improved. I appreciated the direct association between business and the religious sense. Having read the first ten pages, there is very little left to complete the rest of the book. Considering I agree with most of what I read and that I find it practical and useful, I will read the rest of the book.

10 spiritual little nuggets in business by Irene jones is a non-fiction book about Christian business ownership with verses and prayers from the Bible. If I didn't sample this book, I wouldn't read it based on its Official OnlineBookClub review because I'm not interested in religious non-fiction books. After sampling it, I didn't change my mind and I won't read the entire book because its premise didn't attract me. However, the book seems professionally edited, I think there's nothing to be improved in it, and I liked the fact that the author gives pieces of advice based on her own personal experiences, which made the book seem more practical.

If I had not been a member of this program, it is unlikely that I would have found this book. I do not generally read self-help or religion-based books, so I do not peruse those areas. That this is both would have put it out of thd running for me to read even if I had run across it. The cover and author would not have mattered. The title and genre would have turned me away. The blurb confirms the religious/spiritual basis of the book so that would not have helped its case. There was one customer review on the Amazon site, but it was not from OBC. Though positive, it also confirmed the religious nature of the book. If there had been an OBC review on the Amazon site, I would have been interested in what the reviewer had to say. The official OBC review on this site was complimentary of the book. This gave a good impression going into the sample. Unfortunately, the sample gave very little to go on. It was one page, and apparently the introduction for the book. I realize the book is very short, but a paragraph or two of the actual content of the book added into the sample would have made it easier to judge. If I were to change anything, it would be to make that addition. As it is, basically all we got was the author saying God created everything, he is good and if we pray to him sincerely he will answer our prayers. This 'message' is not a new or original one despite the author personally choosing a bible verse to go with it. I cannot say that any of the sample was a favorite for me. Given the genres of the book being self-help and religion, I have no interest in reading it. The book seemed well-edited. I found no 'countable' errors in the sample.

Based on the title and blurb, I would have sampled this book even if I were not part of this program. Given the size of the book, it would not have been much of a time investment, and there would surely be something in it to remind or inspire me. The first ten pages were most of the book. It was simple and heartfelt. The author’s confession in the acknowledgment gave me an appreciation for the book: she was being obedient. The nuggets reinforced putting God first in everything, and I find that to be a good reminder. The book did not appear to have been professionally edited. There were more than ten grammatical errors. Here are two. On page 1, it should be “flourishes” to agree in number with “business”: “I pray your business flourish.” On page 4, the end parenthesis is missing: “If you walk in God’s word, he will bless you with wisdom (such as knowing the right action to take in challenging situations, and with those to transact business with or not.” The formatting is inconsistent: sometimes both the prayer and the scripture at the end of the topic are in italics, sometimes just the scripture, and sometimes neither. The book doesn’t have any personal stories from the author, but I believe she intended it that way. It seems like she just wants to remind the reader to keep their focus on God in their specific situation. Given the size of the book, I would recommend another round of editing. It is too short for so many errors, and in keeping with the theme of the book, it should be presented with excellence. I finished the book since it was so short. The featured OnlineBookClub review was well written, but it had no bearing on my decision to finish this book.

The cover and title of this book are nice and professional. I would not have picked this up without the First Ten program because I am not interested in business. The first few pages were well edited. While I do agree with the author when she mentions that in business you meet all types of people, I do not think that just having a good character will guarantee a successful business. The OBC review was positive, but the reviewer did only recommend this book to those that share the Christian faith. Therefore, I will not be reading the rest. I do not have any suggestions for the author.

I would choose to read a sample of this book because of its title and cover. The title is direct and even intriguing. The cover of the book is clear, concise, unambiguous, and fits the business book well. I will not buy this book because I do not think it offers something significantly new and different compared to other similar books. Reading the sample didn’t change my mind from my original guess. While reading the sample I noticed only one error and the book doesn’t seem like it is professionally edited (the name of the planet is written earth instead of Earth). I like that the author emphasized the importance of gratitude that all business people should feel, the importance of giving, and wise financial management. I think the book should be improved by including concrete, practical advices and not just general principles. The book has an Official OnlineBookClub review.

The book title clearly shows that this book has a spiritual, Christian message. As I normally do not read religious books, I would not pick this book up if I would see it in a bookstore. The blurb and OBC review give a good description and explain that this is an extremely short book. This fact made me curious because I would like to see how the author can fit her message in such a short book. The first ten pages are well edited. The chapters are well structured and written in an understandable language. However, the content is far too preachy for me. I am sure that Christian readers will appreciate the prayers and scripture quotes, but I would have liked to read about "ten little nuggets on business" without the religious message. That is the reason why I will not read the rest of this book. I have no suggestions for improvement.

Without this program, I would not have read the book based on the genre. Unsurprisingly, sampling the book and reading the OBC review did nothing to change my mind. Throughout her 13-page book, the author highlights how faith plays an important role in building a successful business. I enjoyed the easy-to-read writing style as she also explained how important it is to trust God while facing adversity; in fact, He will help us make the right decisions. I would only suggest another round of editing; I found some punctuation errors that distracted me from my reading. For example, there should be a period after "you" at the end of the first sentence: "The Merriam dictionary defines the word harvest as 'the season for gathering either agriculture produce or proceeds of you' The word Harvest from the spiritual perspective can be likened to profits from your business dealings." (page 6) I noticed a missing closing parenthesis in the following sentence: "If you walk in God’s word, he will bless you with wisdom (such as knowing the right action to take in challenging situations, and with those to transact business with or not." (page 3) Despite the editing issues, those who enjoy reading Christian business books should give it a try.

The title of the book is what made me want to read the sample of 10 Spiritual Little Nuggets On Business. Because the book was so short, I decided to finish the entire book. I enjoyed the short messages along with the Bible verses; this helped solidify the author's points. If there was one thing that I would improve, it would be to get the book edited. The reason why is because I found multiple grammatical errors throughout the book. An example of this is on Page 4- "The Lord orders [p]salm 37:23...." The word "Pslam" should be capitalized. There is an official OnlineBookClub review, but I read it after I finished the book. The reviewer stated that there were no errors, but I know that this is incorrect because of the errors that I spotted. Readers who are Christians and want to build a business plan around God will likely enjoy this book the most.

I am not looking for self-help business books. So, I'm not the right audience for this book. After reading the book, I understand what the Official Onlinebookclub review meant about the best-suited book for Christians. It is a religion-based storyline. This was only a 13-page long book. I'm using the term book loosely here. In my opinion, it is more of a manual or a think piece. Considering the religious aspect of the story, it serves as a praying tool for a blessing, too. The perfect way to use it is to meditate and pray. I didn't notice any grammatical errors, and I wouldn't change anything about it. As mentioned above, because it was so short, I already read it. I gave it 3 out of 4 stars.

I do not own a business, nor do I plan to start one. Therefore, I would not have sampled this book without this program. Reading the sample pages left me slightly annoyed. To me, it seemed like the author chose the Bible verses that supported her cause and took them out of the context. I do not oppose including faith in business life, as it should be included in every area of life. It just should be kept in mind that God is not a wishing well and His goals might differ from those of ours. I felt that this was the aspect that was lacking in this book. The editing seemed appropriate. The Official OnlineBookClub review could not convince me to read this book further, as I had already decided not to. The message seems to differ from my understanding of faith in our everyday lives, and this is a detail that is impossible for me to overcome.

'10 Spiritual Little Nuggets on Business' is a non-fiction book. It is written by Irene Jones. It is a short book that outlines ten guidelines to succeed in business. I like how each guideline is substantiated with a biblical verse. There are some errors. The closed bracket is missing after "situations" in "If you walk in God’s word, he will bless you with wisdom (such as knowing the right action to take in challenging situations, and with those to transact business with or not." Apart from the editing, there is nothing in need of an improvement. I would not read this book without the sample based on the cover, title, genre, blurb, editorial reviews, and customer reviews as I am not in the mind-frame to read books of this genre as of now. The OBC review is informative. I will skip this book as I am interested in the subject matter as of now.

The cover and title are appropriate for the genre. The blurb gives a brief and straightforward description of the contents, but there are no customer reviews. I am not keen on faith-based self-help books and will skip this book outside the program. Sampling did not change my mind. What I appreciate is the book cover. The composition and layout are neat and organized. There are issues in capitalization, formatting, and grammar. Most of the Scripture and Prayer sections use text in italics. However, some are not. I am unsure if it is intentional, but I prefer a consistent format for similar parts in the book. I suggest another round of editing. Here are some examples.
Page 2. Capitalization. Consider using the uppercase for religious words.
Grammar. Consider changing the preposition.
Grammar. Consider changing the pronoun.
I pray this helps and guides everyone to a better understanding of using [His] word [in] every area of [their] life.
Page 7. Punctuation. Missing end punctuation.
The Merriam dictionary defines the word harvest as "the season for gathering either agriculture produce or proceeds of you[.]” The word Harvest from the spiritual perspective can be likened to profits from your business dealings.
I have no suggestions for improvement. The information from the official OnlineBookClub review is helpful, but it did not affect my decision. I will skip this one due to preference.

The sample was pretty short and doesn’t give you much to go on. I like that the author is Christ centered and proclaims that everything good, including a business idea, is a gift from God. The editing appears flawless, I didn’t see anything to correct. I have no suggestions for improvements. The OBC review was insightful as to what I can expect from the content, but I also agree that the points made are very concise, which may be good for busy people in particular. I am not currently running a business, so I wouldn’t have read this book if I saw it outside OBC. I love the cover and the yellow and black design. Since I did get a free copy, I will save the book and read it after I complete the rest of my reading list.

If I had not read the sample as part of the First Ten program, I wouldn't have read the book. I do not read self-help books about business, nor am I a spiritual person. After reading the sample, I have not changed my mind for the same reason, as the first chapter starts out very religious and it seems like only someone who was already religious would enjoy reading the book. I also think more editing is needed. In the acknowledgment, the sentence "I pray your business flourish and your relationship with God" is missing a verb for the "relationship with God" part. I would change this book with more editing, but I do not think it is necessary to change its contents as I understand that my not liking the discussion about religion is a personal preference. Unfortunately, because of that, there was not really anything I liked in the sample. I did not see an official review on OnlineBookClub but that did not affect my decision.

I like the book title, but don't think the cover photo is interesting. I would not buy this book from the cover alone. I was not influenced by the today's review of the book. I found a lot of grammatical and spelling errors. On page 1, the last sentence seems incomplete and uses the wrong verb tense. "I pray your business flourish and your relationship with God." It would be better as, "I pray your business flourishes and your relationship with God increases." Or perhaps, "I pray your business and your relationship with God flourishes." I liked that the author used scripture with each point she made. The book is too short. I didn't get enough information about business. The ideas given related more to life in general. I read the whole book since it was so short, but I would not pay for the book or recommend it to others.

After reviewing the title, genre, cover, blurb, and review of this book, I would not have read this book. I'm not religious nor do I have a business of my own. After reading the first ten pages I didn't change my mind and therefore will not be buying and reading the rest of this book. I liked the creativity and the way that this book approaches merging spirituality and business. For example, the concept of the foundations of a business being based on infallible faith is creative and appealing to religious readers. That being said, neither of the two prime aspects of this book (spirituality and business) appeal to me, therefore I will not be reading the rest of this one. Although the book looked well written and edited, there was an error that I found. In the chapter entitled "The good steward over finances" the word "Harmony" is unnecessarily capitalized. Regardless of the intent of the author, using a capital letter isn't the way to emphasize the word. The thing I would have improved from the sample I read has to do with consistency in formatting. Sometimes scripture quotes are in italics and sometimes they aren't. There was an official OBC review, but it did not affect my decision at all.

The title is self-explanatory, and the blurb just took that explanation one step further. The Official OnlineBookClub review had positive things to say about the book, but I knew I was not going to read it since it is not from my preferred genre. The book is just 13 pages, so I read the first 10 percent of it, and I was unimpressed. Even though I'm not going to read the book, I still expected it to have some substantial piece of advice, but that was not the case. I liked the fact that every chapter had a prayer in it, but that was not enough. In terms of improvement, I think the book needs to include some of the author's personal experiences as to how these nuggets and prayers have helped her in her business. I didn't find any errors, so the book seems professionally edited.

The cover and title caught my eye because of the spiritual aspect, so that I would have checked this book out for that reason alone. As I read the OBC official review, I grew more interested because of the comments about the author encouraging the use of scripture and prayer to build a business. As I was reading the content of the book, I noticed a few spelling errors. For example, on Kindle page 4 is the following sentence: "If you have is wisdom, God will bless you with a stable mind and a peaceful heart." The word 'is' should be 'His.' The only thing I saw in the book that could use improvement was the formatting. A topic would start at the bottom or middle of a page instead of at the top. I felt the scriptures the author used were pertinent to the points she was making in the book. This book can be a valuable resource to anyone starting or running a business if they apply the 'nuggets' and then have faith to believe God will do the rest. Since the book was only thirteen pages, I read the entire content instead of just ten pages.

I usually do not read these types of books because I have no interest in them. However, to read the first ten pages of the book, I had to purchase this book. The first ten pages consisted of the entire book, and I enjoyed the scriptures and prayers, which gave depth to the author's points. I was disappointed to note that the book has not been edited by a professional editor as there were many errors in the first ten pages consisting of missing punctuation, inconsistent formats, to name a couple. The first error was on Page 4 in the sentence, “If you walk in God’s word, he will bless you with wisdom (such as knowing the…, there is no ending parentheses. A comma after “wisdom” would have been sufficient. I recommend that the author have the book edited by a professional editor and add examples of what she has done to support her points. Examples would give the book more credibility. After reading this book, I was surprised that the OnlineBookClub review was so positive.

The cover is appropriate for the topic at hand. The blurb is short but explanatory enough. I don't have a business, nor do I think my religious beliefs should influence my business if I had one. The book lacks ratings. Adding all that, I wouldn't have considered buying the book based on my first impressions.
We start off to a rocky start with the following assertion: "Humans have access and authority to everything on the earth." That selfish, almost colonialist belief is why we have so many environmental disasters nowadays. There are, of course, some assertions that are just common sense, such as "A good character can influence people to associate and wanting to know more about you." I did enjoy the prayers but, overall, I disagree with what I read in the first ten pages, and I think mixing religion with non-religious aspects of life can lead to disastrous consequences such as discrimination. I found a couple of editing mistakes. For example, on page 3 "he", referring to God in a book like this, should be capitalized: "and he’s the creator of all living and non-living entities." Later on, on page 4, it should read "his" or "His" instead of "is": "If you have is wisdom, God will bless you with a stable mind and a peaceful heart."
I would suggest fixing these editing mistakes. The official OBC review didn't change my mind.

From the first paragraph of the Official OBC Review, it was apparent that I wouldn't read this book. I am not a Christian and if the book is not of a historical or exegetical nature involving Christianity, I won't read it. The cover was okay because it wasn't very different from many other books that deal with business advice; it seemed appropriate for the subject matter. There is absolutely nothing that I liked about this book because everything was too deeply coated with God-sauce to make me appreciate any of the lessons. What I disliked most was the subject matter. It appears to have been professionally edited as I saw no errors.
