The First Ten Focus Group Feedback for Terms of Service: Subject to change without notice

Because Terms of Service was Book of the Day, some of our most trusted members have carefully looked over the cover, the description, and other aspects of this book as a part of purchase-intent focus group. We then asked each participant in the focus group if they planned to buy and read the book, and why they planned to buy and read the book or not. Their answer to that question and reasons are displayed below. We call this awesome feature The First Ten Focus Group.

Keep in mind, the responses from the members are not reviews. This is purchase-intent focus group which means the participants are people who have NOT yet bought or read your book. A purchase-intent focus group is an important and extremely useful marketing tool for any product, not just books. For other products, you might walk on the street and show people an item in a package and poll them about whether they would buy if or $X or not. These kind of focus groups are one of the ways big marketing companies find the ideal price points for products and test the effectiveness of different packaging. The focus group can help you identify your market so you how to target ads of your book, and it can (but may not) provide you new useful info about your "packaging" (e.g. your book cover, your book synopsis on Amazon, etc.). The point of the focus group comments is to give you information from people who have not bought or read your book about why they plan to buy your book which will help you in marketing the book. These are not reviews or critiques of your book because they are not from people have read the book. This is a marketing tool, not reviews. The trick of book marketing and book advertising is that you have to convince people who have not read your book yet that your book is worth buying and reading. For marketing, it doesn't matter much if people love your book after reading it if you cannot convince potential buyers before they read it that they will love it.

IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable. This is because we only poll about 20 or so readers, and all readers have to say "no" to almost all books. Over a million books are published each year. Even a very active reader cannot come close to even reading 1% of books out there.

This is also why publishing books is such a tough industry.

The review I read caught my attention. I believe I would pick this book even if I wasn’t part of this program because I am a science fiction fanatic, sort of a nerd. The title was very catchy. The cover page art was captivating as well. I believe it will be attractive to most science fiction fans. After reading the first ten pages, the chances of buying the book dropped because I expected the allure of the cover page and title to be carried over in the first few pages to seal the deal, but I was disappointed.

My disappointment came from expecting the first pages to capture my attention but they didn’t, leaving me to wonder if the rest of the book would be the same. However, I found no errors in the sample. I like the way the author tried to show some practical uses of the AI technology and how it can aid in one's daily life. I didn’t like the way it made me presume the book was about a person's daily life with the AI technology. I expected world events as the title suggested. However, I would proceed with this book based on the first ten pages I read.

The book has an interesting title and cover. The blurb and the official OBC review were very intriguing. This book has been on my “To read” list for quite some time now because of all the great reviews I have read on OBC. There were many positive Amazon customer comments. I sampled the first chapter and was pleasantly surprised at how unique the storyline of this book was. I applaud the author’s imagination. I felt transported to the futuristic world described in the book. I did not enjoy the virtual game scene narrated; I could not understand the game because I didn’t know the rules. I assume the game referred to there was baseball, which is popular in the U.S. However, non-American readers may not be familiar with the game. But that is on a personal note and a petty concern. The rest of the sample was very creative, and I would love to get this book soon. I found two minor errors in the first ten pages; I have provided the details below.

Location 100 of 487
Error 1: Yes, of course the game was rigged.
Explanation: A comma is required after ‘of course’.

Location 100 of 487
Error 2: Yes, of course the AIs blatantly cheated.
Explanation: A comma is required after ‘of course’.

I was already familiar with this book through OBC. I read the OBC review and forum comments, which influenced me to buy and read "Terms of Service." The title of the book caught my interest. However, even after reading the book, I don't completely understand the cover art. The Amazon blurb gives a good summary without giving too much away, and the editorial and customer reviews were mostly good. I had not read them when I purchased the book.

There was nothing I didn't like about this book. I love the book's premise and the early scene of Kim getting ready for work and traveling on the subway. Her character is well-drawn through her thoughts and observations. The author showed a lot of skill in doing that. The dystopian future world is chilling because it expands on some of the things happening right now in our society. Since I had already read the book, I didn't sample it again. I don't recall seeing errors in the early pages of this book.

Since I already bought and read the featured book, I'll mark it a "no" because I am not buying another one. I liked this book so much that I bought and read the sequel and loved that too. If Stanfill writes more, I will read it.

Told in a third-person point of view, the first ten pages of this book introduce us to the life of Kim. Kim lives in an AI-dystopian era, where AI has dominated the world and has taken the role of the world’s oppressor. We see this when one of her friends complains about AI cheating in the ball game. I loved how authentic the descriptions were. They wafted me as a reader into this make-believe world I was totally unfamiliar with. What I disliked was that the writing was a bit slow. The scenes were moving slowly. The cover and title gave me the impression that this was a nonfiction book, so judging by those, I wouldn’t have selected this book if I had come across it outside this programme. I will not be reading this book because I am not interested in this type of genre. I don’t have any suggestions. The bit I read was exceptionally edited, as I came across no errors.

This is a great book on AI. With the strong manifestation of AI, reading this book would be nice. The book opened with Kim in her bedroom. She got drunk the night before and was knocked out in the morning. The AI house assistant made her a morning coffee and the rest. The author's ability to weave everyday life scenes with an AI is great, and I love it. The pages I read were exceptionally edited. I do not have any recommendations for the author. The cover design and title are a great fit. If my decision to buy and read the book were to be made based on the cover design and title, then I would buy and read the book. However, my current reading interest is metaphysical realms. On this note, I will not buy and read this book. These are my personal thoughts and were not influenced by comments, reviews, or blurbs on OBC or not.

Without this program, I woupd not have sampled this book. I’m not a hige science fiction reader, so the genre and blurb would not have piqued my interest. The book seems to be edited well as I did not see any glaring errors.

I really like how there’s an AI living and helping Kim with her morning routine. It seems fun and cute. However, I don’t loke that she’s hungover. It makes me think it will happen more in the text.

Based on what I read and the genre, I do not plan on reading the rest of this book.

I am a fan of future-based sci-fi material so I was when I read the OBC review of this book. The cover and the title had an element of mystery to them, which I thought perfectly added to the mystery of the book. The editorial review complimented the world-building and one customer review called this book thought-provoking while another went as far as comparing it to the classic '1984'. All this added to my excitement, and although it had no blurb, I would have read or sampled this book even if it was not part of the First Ten program. The sample was a rather detailed account of the main character's morning routine. This felt boring but the OBC review mentions that the book starts off slow for the purposes of world-building. I loved how the author included a 'translation' note at the beginning of the book, which explains some writing styles adopted in this book. This helps the reader not assume such style is just grammatical errors when they encounter it. With that in mind, I did not find any errors in the sample. I can not wait to read the rest of this book.

I found myself questioning a lot of what was happening in Kim’s world. I found it mysterious and luring, while maintaining a sense of superiority and control. I would have picked up this book from the cover, genre, title, blurb, and reviews especially that of OBC, as they all showcased how the book was a new twist to the genre of sci-fi. I am looking forward to seeing if the terms of service change at some point. I only found a negligible missing space on page 6 first paragraph, “Crap!Time to leave already?” Someone should really tell Cy the games are rigged. To think that a minor action like mentioning a dislike to the food served would be considered a violation caused me to get chills. I have nothing negative to note so far. I find it natural that some individuals defy the system to try something unconventional. I enjoyed the entirety of the sample and am looking forward to reading the rest, fingers crossed that Kim will rise against the system of robots controlling all details of their lives. Indeed, well written! I wish you luck with the sales of this book.

I might have sampled this book based on its catchy cover and title. The book's OBC review also caught my interest.
The world I experienced in this book is an interesting one that I am not eager to experience personally. Of all the fascinating technology, I was most amused by the uncorprative refrigerator. I found the entire AI system interesting. I'm curious to know more about this strange world, so I will continue reading this book.
I didn't notice any errors in the first ten pages of this book. I don't think the book needs any improvement.

I am not a big fan of sci-fi novels. Especially ones about AI taking over the world. The title, cover page and OBC review suggest that this is what the book is mostly about. It doesn't have a blurb that may have helped to shed more light on the same. After sampling the first ten pages, I can already guess what the awesome and convenient interaction between Kim and her machines might do eventually. I especially loved the fridge that cared about what she ate. Impeccable. Still, I don't think I liked it enough to actually read the whole book. I did not find any errors and I believe it is professionally edited. I have no suggestions for improvement so far. I will not buy or read this book.

I would not have sampled this book if I was not in this program because the OBC official review said that this was a sci-fi/fantasy novel; that's my least favorite genre. I read the required ten pages and I love how technologically advanced this world that Kim lives in is. Everything in Kim's life is run by technology, that's very scary. I disliked how she wanted food from her own refrigerator and the request was denied because the food was not healthy as her breakfast choice. I found no errors or anything I felt that could be done to improve this story. I'm going to pass on this story because I'm not fond of books that describe the future as a world controlled by machines, making human presence less necessary.

I was intrigued by the cover and title of “Terms of Service.” The cover art is mysterious and leads the reader to believe there is an element of fantasy. I don’t understand the title yet, but it’s short and intriguing. The blurb and OBC review reveals the science fiction genre. I love science fiction, and there is the added element of a dystopian society which I find fascinating. The OBC review mentions many subtopics within this book that capture my interest, such as artificial intelligence or AI.

I found no errors in the sample pages. I was simultaneously fascinated and horrified by the plot. Some of the AI seems fun and convenient, like coffee delivery. However, most of it is creepy, such as detecting movement on trains! I like how the author can bring this dystopian society to life on the pages. I found nothing to dislike about this book. I have no recommendations for the author. I have already continued reading this book and am excited to read the sequels.

Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is the story of humans living in an advanced age of civilization where everything is controlled by AIs. Right when we open the book, we are prefaced with a precautionary note that the story is set in a future where everybody is controlled by AIs and The Company. The OBC review, the book blurb, and the title page all encouraged me to read this book. I especially enjoyed the beginning of the first chapter, when Kim is on her way to her office; the setup of the transit system and the automatic assignment of her route piqued my interest and made me eager to read the rest of the book. I would've read this book regardless of the program, and I'll continue to read the full book. I did not find any errors in the first ten pages, and I loved reading the sample, so I don't have any complaints.

Based on the book's cover, genre, blurb, editorial reviews, and customer reviews, I would not have read the sample or the first 10 pages of the Terms of Service if I had not been a participant in this program (the First Ten Program). This is because none of the aforementioned factors played a role in my decision to sample the book. Kim, who wishes she could sleep a little longer but can't since the wake-up alarm is insistent and there is no way to turn it off, is introduced in the opening few pages of this novel. I'm going to buy this book after reading the first ten pages and finish it. This is because the narrative intrigues me. The first ten pages I read did not include any errors. The author's writing style was what I found appealing in the section I read. It was excellent. There was nothing in the portion of the book I read that I didn't like. I'd recommend this book to readers looking for engrossing sci-fi stories. The OBC review of this book also influenced my decision to purchase and complete reading it. This book appears to have undergone careful editing.

I think I'm going to add "Terms of Service" to the list of books I need to read after reading the sample. This is because I enjoyed reading the sample. Sci-fi fans will enjoy this novel. I therefore recommend that they do so. In the first few chapters of this novel, Craig W. Stanfill, the author, introduces readers to a character by the name of Kim. He tells how Kim jumped out of bed as the lights turned on. On the OB website, this book has a fantastic official review. Making a decision on whether or not to buy and read this book was aided by the review. The book's reviewer gave it a perfect rating. This indicates that this book appears to be excellent. Since I found no errors in the pages I read, the author of this book appears to have paid a professional to work on it. If you ask me what aspect of the piece I sampled I loved the most, I'd say it was the author's writing style. Nothing I read in those few paragraphs left me unimpressed. I chose to read the sample of this book regardless of the genre or the cover. It was influenced by editorial and customer reviews.

I enjoyed reading the sample of the Terms of Service. Additionally, I had pleasure in reading its official review, which was well-written and provided comprehensive details about this book. The author introduces a character named Kim at the beginning of the novel. The opening few pages give a clear description of the female character, Kim. My decision regarding whether or not to purchase and read this book was influenced by the excellent review of it on OBC. This book appears to have had exceptional editing, as the sample I read shows. I made this statement since there were no errors in the first ten pages I read. This book doesn't, in my opinion, require any sort of improvement. I do not read novels. I'm trying nonfiction books right now. I won't buy and finish reading this book because of this. Sincerely, neither the cover nor the editorial or customer evaluations had any impact on my choice; nonetheless, the genre had a significant influence. The plot of this book was one of the aspects that I liked in the first few pages that I read. It flowed really well. In the few chapters I was able to read, there was nothing in this book that troubled me. After reading the sample, I believe I will suggest this book to those who like science fiction.

After successfully downloading a free sample of this book from Amazon, I had the chance to read the first ten pages of the Terms of Service. I really enjoyed reading the OBC website's official review of the book. The review provided a thorough summary of the subject matter of this book. The first section of this book is referred to as "Spring" in the opening pages. An Ordinary Day, the opening chapter of the first part, was what I read. In this section of the book, I read about Kim, a female character in the tale. I enjoy reading fiction books a lot. Therefore, I'll include this book in my list of favourites. I'll buy it and read it through later. This book's cover, in my opinion, wasn't well designed. I find it boring. In the first few pages I read, it was the only feature I didn't truly love. In the few pages I read, the aspect of the novel that I loved the most was the way it flowed. The first ten pages I read had no grammatical or spelling problems. This book appears to have been edited by a qualified individual. There is nothing about this book that, in my opinion, needs to be changed; it appears to have been well-written and edited. I choose to buy and complete reading this book regardless of the cover, the official review, or the reader reviews. My choice was influenced by the genre of the book. I'd recommend this book to other readers who enjoy science fiction books.

I read the first ten pages of this book, Terms of Service, after downloading its sample. It is a sci-fi novel. In the opening pages of this sci-fi novel, the author writes that this novel portrays a future civilization in which all aspects of individuality, including race and gender, are ruthlessly suppressed. The element that I appreciated the most in the first few pages that I read was how the author wrote the story in simple language, making it easier to understand. There was no element of this book that I didn’t appreciate. I don’t read sci-fi novels. This explains why I won’t purchase and finish reading this book. This book, in my opinion, seems to have been exceptionally edited. This is because I didn’t find any errors in the first ten pages that I read. I would recommend this novel to those readers who appreciate sci-fi books. In my opinion, this book is fine the way it is and shouldn’t be improved. This book has an official review on the OBC website. The review gave an overview of this book. My decision not to purchase and read this book was based on its genre. The cover and the official review didn’t have any impact on my decision not to purchase and finish reading this book.

Terms of Service: Subject to change without notice by Craig W. Stanfill sounds like an interesting sci-fi or fantasy novel. In the opening pages that I read, Kim, one of the characters in the story, is introduced. He woke up at the usual time with the usual pounding headache as the alarm clock blared away. The aspect that I liked the most in the first ten pages of this book was the flow of the plot. There was no aspect that I didn’t like in the first ten pages that I read. On OnlineBookClub, there is an insightful review of this book. I’m not a fan of sci-fi novels. I’ll therefore not buy and finish reading this book. I would recommend it to fans of sci-fi and fantasy books. My decision not to buy and finish reading this book was because of its genre, which I don’t read. I would have read this book without the first ten programs being the reason because of the intriguing title, the cover, the genre, the numerous customer reviews, and the OnlineBookClub reviews of the book that I read. It has no blurb. I am very interested in reading this book. This is because of how captivating the first ten pages are. The storyline is intriguing and captivating. This book seems professionally edited, as I did not notice any grammatical or typographical errors while reading the first ten pages of the book. I like the cover of the book. It gives us a glimpse of what to expect in the book. I do not see anything that needs to be improved. I read an OnlineBookClub official review. It convinced me of how interesting the book is.

The title of the book really had me wondering and guessing what the book will be all about. It helped that the customers reviews gave me a glimpse of what to expect. Hence, I would have sampled the book based on some of the customer reviews I read.

From the first ten pages I have read so far, my understanding of the book is about a dystopian story with Kim as the lead character. Kim lives under the power of an authoritarian AI that rules her life. She is faced with the challenge of confronting the dictorial AI that seems bend on destroying human life.

Because I barely read Sci-Fi genre, sampling the first ten pages was a bit dauntintg. Nevertheless, I find myself juxtaposing the story with the future of humanity considering the advances made in AI. Perhaps the author wants us to see the excesses of AI.

I really love the effort made by the author in detailing each scene in such a way that readers will understand easily.

Though, I would have loved to know how Kim fared in her quest to fight the system, I doubt if I will buy the book anytime soon to finish reading it. This decision is based on my biasness towards books under Sci-Fi genre.

The editing of the book is so far excellent. I am yet to detect an error

The title, cover, and genre of the book are not ones that I would normally read. The blurb and editorial reviews on Amazon did justice to the book, though. Especially since they connected the book to The Matrix, a well-known show that I'm sure everyone enjoyed. The OBC review rated the book as humorous and fascinating and clearly identified the positive points of the book. If I hadn't been a member of OBC, I would not have read this book because the title bored me. Yes, I would not buy and read this book after reading the first 10 pages because, even though it started slowly, after a while, the build-up was interesting. I found the storyline of how children are taken away from their birth parents and given to a mentor to be heartbreaking. I'm curious to find out if the cult that was keeping the children was apprehended. I found no errors in the first 10 pages. The only thing I would change about the book is the title to make it more enticing Terms of Service sounds like a book about contracts.

Terms of Service: Subject to change without notice by Craig W. Stanfill belongs to the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre, which I love to read. The title and the cover page made me curious. The blurb revealed that the story was about a future world which was ruled and managed as a perfect world by artificial intelligence, and I loved that theme. The editorial reviews and the customer reviews spoke highly about the book. Based on the above facts, I would have sampled this book even if I had not been a part of this program.

Then I read the first ten pages, which gave an introduction to the culture of this future world, the company's terms of agreements, and an introduction to the protagonist's usual day. I loved how the author had started his book, and it made me want to carry on with reading. So I decided to read the whole book after reading the first few pages.

There were no errors in the first ten pages and I did not see any area that could be improved. I saw the official OBC review, which spoke highly about the book. And it was a great support for me to make my decision.

If I had not been part of this program, I would not have read this book. The genre does not appeal to me. However, the OBC review was intriguing and made me more interested. After reading the first ten pages, I do not plan to continue. It was a good read with no errors, but it was too futuristic and grim for me. I liked how it started with the pronouns and terms of service. It sets the stage for the rest of the story. It was just too far out for my tastes. It would be excellent for someone interested in science fiction.

Though I don’t often read sci-fi books, the title, cover, blurb, and reviews were interesting enough for me to want to sample this book. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it very much. It was undoubtedly well written and exceptionally edited (no errors that I could find). But one word kept coming to mind the more I read: disturbing. The neutrality was too bizarre for me, especially the erasure of gender. What made it particularly disturbing was that the concept is not too far removed from what’s going on in the world today. I won’t be buying and reading this book, as I would certainly not enjoy it. The OBC review did not influence this decision.

I would choose it based on the title and cover because of the futuristic design of the book's cover and the action-packed title. The blurb, Official OnlineBookClub review, and editor reviews were all read, but I didn't let them affect my choice. My choice was motivated by a customer review by D. A. Pettett that emphasized the predominance of female characters in the novel. Because I'm not in the mood to read science fiction right now, I won't be reading the book. There were no typos or errors that I could identify, thus it appears that the book was professionally edited. A neural network at Kim's disposal to achieve whatever she wants sounds quite cutting-edge and revolutionary. That's exactly what I liked about the sample I read. Nothing in the book, in my opinion, needs to be improved.

After reviewing the title, genre, cover, blurb, and review of this book, I might have read this book. I love science-fiction and this futuristic, AI-driven dystopia, sounds exciting. After reading the first ten pages I didn't change my mind and therefore will be buying and reading the rest of this book eventually. I loved the humour that was more than apparent early on. I definitely chuckled when the fridge AI told Kim that her breakfast choice wasn't recommended. The book looked well written and edited from my perspective since I didn't pick up on any errors from the sample that I read. The thing I would have improved from the sample I read has to do with formatting. I would prefer the advertising text be consistently formatted; the sentence (at 45 percent of the sample) "25% off on Kale, Lentils, and Quinoa!" wasn't bold faced like the rest of the advertising lines were. There was an official OBC review, but it did not affect my decision at all.

I would love to read this book, whether I was part of this program or not. I think the cover and the name are a bit misleading. My first thought when seeing it was that this must be a book about service to a government, I would never have thought it was sci-fi. Although it is not my genre this book piqued my interest. I like the way it is written and I like the storyline. It is interesting. I found nothing I disliked about this book. I found no spelling or grammar mistakes, and have no suggestions for the author. No other review, OBC or otherwise, or blurbs influenced my decision, this was solely based on the first ten pages of this book.

I will not be reading or purchasing this book regardless of my participation in this program. I really like the title and the cover of this book. I'm intrigued by the plot and want to know where it goes, but not enough to actually buy and read the book.

The plot is very captivating and explains in detail how the world looks and works from page one, which is why I was so close to wanting to read it after reading the first ten pages.

Within the first ten pages, I noticed no typos.

I enjoyed the book's exploration of its own world and technological systems. I also appreciated the system's ability to monitor the character's vitals and alert them to their next meal. In this dystopian future, a woman named Kim works for an artificial intelligence company, and while she got ready for work her housebot gets her food and drinks ready which are chosen by a company based on the nutrients you need.

To be honest, I did not find a single thing to complain about in this book. It was enjoyable and simple to read. It almost piqued my interest in the book to the point where I would have bought it, but the genre is the main reason I won't be reading the book.

The OBC review is exceptionally well-written and does a great job of conveying the book's plot and themes. Despite the book's obvious writing skill, the subject matter prevents me from reading it.

"Terms of Service" by Craig W. Stanfill is a sci-fi book that presents an individual's journey in a future civilization. I liked the art design of the book cover and found it suitable for its catchy title and intriguing blurb. I sampled it because of its positive editorial and customer reviews and excellent Official OnlineBookClub review. The novel seems exceptionally well edited since I discovered no single error while reading the sample. I would not improve anything on the plot because I enjoyed the mixture of science fiction and mystery and liked the descriptions of virtual reality scenes. Therefore, I will buy and read the whole book because I am a fan of stories about artificial intelligence and parallel universes.

The story takes place in a future world of AI and virtual reality, and Kim struggles to find true happiness and meaning in a world where every choice is monitored and controlled. I would've read the book as the blurb and customer reviews intrigued my curiosity. The thing I liked the most while sampling is how well the author has crafted the world of virtual reality and AI with attention to all the little details. I enjoyed reading the conversations between Kim and the AI and also liked that the frustration felt by Kim over the lack of control over her lifestyle choices was palpable from the writing. I found only one error in the portion sampled in this sentence, "After a few more seconds she opened her eyes and looked around her tidy but nondescript sleeping chamber, trying to clear her head." There should be a comma after 'seconds'. I saw an official OBC review before sampling. As I've liked reading the book so far, I'll read the whole book, and I don't have anything to suggest for improvements.

The cover and blurb definitely tell that this book is a sci-fi read. Sci-fi is a genre I don't particularly enjoy because I am no techie. I wouldn't have sampled the book on my own. I have to admit that the world-building was superb, though. I was amused that all characters used female pronouns; the Panglobal language is to blame. I will not buy the book, though, because I got dizzy with all the terms (both technical and baseball jargon) that were unfamiliar. I did like the unique words like "selfist." I am quite sure sci-fi fanatics will relish this book. I do not think there should be anything to improve. I saw a few comma splices and missed vocative commas (like the missing comma in "Hello Merv!" at location 171), but they weren't distracting. The official OBC reviewer seemed very impressed with the author's effort, although they had some reservations about the erotic content.

I'm not much of a sci-fi reader, so I'm not sure I would have read this book outside this program, although I liked its OBC review.
The book starts with a list of terms and conditions by "the Company." And the story starts with Kim and her early morning routine. My favorite thing in this book was the house bot! I would absolutely love a house bot that makes me coffee and breakfast and brings me hangover pills. Funny.
Well, other than the house bot, nothing in the first ten pages of this book really intrigued me, so I won't buy this book. I think it's an interesting book, though. I didn't notice any errors in the bit I've read, and I don't think this book needs any improvement.

The title "Terms of service" and the cover that depicts two men do not indicate the theme of the book. There are 199 Amazon customer ratings of the book with an average rating of 4 out of 5 stars, which is great. The Amazon summary indicates that the story is about Artificial Intelligence. As I am generally not interested in Artificial Intelligence stories, I would have skipped sampling the book if not for the First Ten program. As I sampled through the book, I found the narration describing the protagonist living in an AI-guided world. As I am not interested in this theme, I am not going to read this book in full. I found the sample professionally edited. I didn't find any grammatical or mechanical errors. I didn't like anything specifically about the book. I don't have any recommendations for the improvement of the book. Although I found two OBC reviews of the book, my decision to not to read the book in full is based on my own sampling.

The title of this book isn't exciting, but the cover photo is quite attractive. I sampled this book based on the captivating cover image. The sample deals with AI intelligence, which I like in a sci-fi novel. I will read this book because the sample has a captivating plot. It looks like the protagonist will just command everything, which is quite amazing to imagine. The book has an OBC review that is very insightful and helps my decision. In the editing issues, I don't see any typos and I assume the book has been professionally edited. There's nothing I can recommend for any suggestions. Lastly, the thing I like is the explanation of the author in translating this book into English.

I didn’t want to sample the book because I’m not at all intrigued by premises that involve robots and artificial intelligence. In this world, artificial intelligence is so ordinary. We see Kim, a human being, coexisting with this kind of life. I like the way the author describes these first few pages, showing how Kim is living a rather mundane life. Artificial intelligence basically helps make everything extra convenient, like waking up in the morning or preparing food. While I don’t have anything negative to say about the book, I’m not going to read it because I’m not interested. I feel like there’s nothing in the plot that promises anything unique to me. The OBC review was a huge help. I don’t have any improvements to recommend. The book was well edited, as I have not found a single error.

I would have chosen to sample this book based on the title, the cover, the genre, the blurb, the Amazon reviews and the OBC review because I love reading science fiction novels. However, after reading the sample, I've changed my mind because the plot of this book didn't interest me. I liked the writing style and the character of Kim. Her frustration with a very structured existence and lifestyle is portrayed well. But the overall gloomy atmosphere in the book dissuades me from completing this book, and thus, I won't read the rest of the book.

The book seems professionally edited, as I found only one minor error in the sample. In the sentence, '... the two subjects had mis-used the transportation system ...', the word 'misused' is unnecessarily hyphenated. I've no suggestions for improvement.

When I read the OBC reviewer‘s comments about this book, I knew it was something very different, but nothing prepared me for what I read. A futuristic world is described in great detail, where everything is regimented and governed by AI, and this whole concept was completely fascinating to me. The description of Kim’s day contains sufficient detail for me to immerse myself fully in the story and this is the best aspect of it. What I really didn’t like was the disclaimer at the beginning regarding the aspect of use of pronouns in this story. Once literature has to cater for such aspects, all flow is lost and the enjoyment of the story diminishes - not to mention literary clarity. Nevertheless, it didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book so far. The grammar and editing were excellent, and it has clearly been reviewed by a professional. One comment I have is that the cover is a bit dark and almost cartoon-like, which might put off serious readers at first glance. I probably wouldn’t have stopped for a closer look, had I not read the reviews first. It‘s a fascinating book, and I suspect it will only get better, so I would definitely read this one.

Although the official OBC review praised the book, I generally do not read books with AI characters. Hence, I wasn't intending to read the book. Reading the first ten pages, however, made me change my mind. I could not find any errors. They showed Kim waking up and utilizing the artificial intelligence system installed in her home. This book's cover didn't entice me to read it. The OBC review dissuaded me when it mentioned that the author narrates the story of an AI researcher living and working in a dystopian future where robots control the world. That storyline doesn't appeal to me, so I won't read the rest of the book. When I read the first ten pages, I liked that Kim accepted hangover pills from the housebot to ease her headache. I will conclude that the text underwent professional editing since I spotted no errors. There's nothing I disliked about the bit I read, and I wouldn't change anything about it.

The title sounds catchy, so I'd have sampled this book based on it. However, the OBC review and the blurb didn't convince me to read it. The summary of the book is similar to most dystopian novels I used to read. I didn't change my mind when I read the sample. The first ten pages described a dull moment in the life of the protagonist, and it makes me feel suffocated. She dreamed of working at the Artificial Intelligence Company, but her expectations didn't meet the reality. Her life was controlled by regulations imposed by the AIs who ruled the world. I like how the title reflects the whole concept of the book. It seems professionally edited, and I don't have suggestions for improvements.

Without this program, I wouldn't have read this. The official review from OnlineBookClub, the genre, and the cover look alright, but the ratings on Amazon are quite bad. The blurb seems uncreative, too. Reading the first ten pages about an ordinary day in Kim's life did not change my mind from my original guess.

I like the sci-fi theme. However, while the concept is that gender is erased, the book especially uses feminine pronouns for the characters. Using "they" or only the characters' names would be a more suitable choice. I also think another round of proofreading is needed. Since it can't pique my interest, I won't buy this book.

Error example: Beige carpet, beige comforter, beige pillows, beige walls, and on the nightstand her VR headset, perched perilously close to a tumbler half-full of vodka remaining from last night's binge. -> The comma after "headset" is not needed.

I wouldn't have read this book without sampling. This is because the cover page insinuated that this is a science-fiction novel, which I don't love. The sample seems fast-paced. Terms of service meant many things to me so I could not guess anything about the contents of this book. I read the OBC official review of this book to know its contents. The OBC official review gave me the idea that this book is based on artificial intelligence. This idea inspired me to read the first ten pages sample of this book. After reading the first ten pages, I realized that this book was not professionally edited because I found some grammatical errors in the sample. For example, the sentence, "In half the cases, the answer was yes, and in half the answer was no." The sentence could be as follows. "In half the cases, the answer was yes, and in half, the answer was no." I liked the way the artificial intelligence systems sensed Kim waking up and offered a perfect coffee for her. To my dismay, the usage of some very long sentences made reading a bit difficult for me because I had to put extra effort while reading. My suggestion to the author would be to go for a round of professional editing and make it comfortable to read by using shorter sentences. Considering all the aspects of this book, I decided not to purchase and read this book today until the author helps me by considering my suggestion.

I would have sampled this book based on the genre, blurb, and OBC review. I thought the society controlled by AIs and the story of possibly leaving this seemed interesting. After reading the first ten pages, I won’t be finishing this book. I thought the book started with two sections that needed more context. The first was the note about the translation. I ended up looking up “Panglobal” to try to understand what translation the author was talking about, and I found a website where the author had explained it a little more. This section needs improvement in how it’s given without background information. The next section was the terms of service, which also could’ve used more context. There wasn’t anything specific I liked so far. The book did seem to be professionally edited.

If it wasn't for this program, I wouldn't sample this book based on its title, cover, or Official OnlineBookClub review because I read so many science fiction novels in my youth that nowadays I try to stay away from them. My favorite part of what I read was the world created by the author. I was impressed to learn so much of this world (such as the social rules, the transit system, the AIs, the housing system, etc.) simply by following Kim's daily routine. After reading the first ten pages, I will not read the rest of the book because even though I loved the world created by the author, there was nothing crucial in what I read that made me want to continue learning about Kim's future. I can't think of any way to improve this book, and it appears professionally edited.

I doubt I would have sampled or read this book outside this program. I didn't find it’s cover or title enticing. Also, neither its OBC nor Amazon review appealed to me with the mention of the story line consisting of life being controlled by artificial intelligence. Kim lives northeast of what we know today as the United States. She works at a company for artificial intelligence. In this world every part of life is controlled through artificial intelligence. Kim realizes that she’s unhappy. I liked the character personalities in this book, but nothing else in the book appealed to me, so I won't complete it.I don't notice any errors, while I read. The cover of this book is average, but the title is intriguing. After reading the Amazon blurb, I would not have sampled this book because I am not a huge fan of science-fiction. The first few pages were well edited. I thought the "Note On The Translation" and the "Customer Agreement" were unique additions. I felt bad for Kim when she had no choice but to eat scrambled tofu for breakfast. The OBC review was positive, but it mentioned this book highlights a grim future. All the other comments and reviews I saw were also positive. Unfortunately, nothing has changed my mind. Sci-fi is not my cup of tea and I am looking for more optimistic stories to read. Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is a sci-fi book that brings a dystopian world dominated by the machines where artificial intelligence is very important. If I didn't sample this book, I would already read it based on its Official OnlineBookClub review, its customer reviews, its blurb, and its genre since I'm interested in dystopian sci-fi books, but also because the premise of a neutral world seemed unique. The book's cover and title didn't affect my decision. After sampling it, I didn't change my mind and I will read the entire volume because I enjoyed the premise of a neutral world, but my favorite aspect was the fact that the author was able to construct unique scenarios using the color beige to show the neutrality and direct dialogues too. The title is creative and eye-catching while the cover looks in keeping with the futuristic character of the story. I think many interested readers should be attracted. In general, I'm not a fan of science fiction readings, but I'm open to trying a good one. The blurb comments the story revolves around Kim, who stands out in the field of artificial intelligence. She trains and manages beings called "AI" in a parallel universe of Virtual Reality. She is comfortable and prosperous, but she is unhappy. Next, she embarks on a journey of discovery that threatens to topple the corrupting powers of society. Most of the customer reviews are favorable, which is more commendable considering the large number of them. Based on these elements, I might try this book. The inclusion of the Customer Agreement section is ingenious since the Terms of Service reflect the authoritative nature of "The Company." The first ten pages present Kim as the main character. These tell mainly about how she lives and how her job is at the Artificial Intelligence Company where she works since five years ago. In what I read, a futuristic environment was described, which was interesting for the comforts it posed. For instance, the "housebot" that supports Kim with errands such as bringing her medicines or the Virtual Reality headset that guides her on the route she must take. However, these technological advances displayed negative sides like excessive control over people. For example, two people cannot voluntarily have sex without authorization. I am curious to know if Kim is going to get sick of this soon or if she will continue being part of this authoritarian regime. The OnlineBookClub official review indicates the story is set in a futuristic world where Artificial Intelligence has developed enough for machines and robots to have precedence over humans. Plus, the plot raises the possibility that technological development becomes a mechanism of control and punishment. The editing looks outstanding since I did not see any details to comment on. Overall, I didn't see anything that I believe could be improved. What I read proposed a well-constructed plot but it did not completely capture me. I'm not a fan of the sci-fi genre in general. In summary, I will not read the rest of the book.

If Terms of Service hadn't been the OnlineBookClub's book of the day, I would have skipped the sample of it. Dystopian novels are not my favorite type of book, and I knew this one would be based on the subtitle. The customer reviews and description did not affect my decision to read this title, but I remember seeing this author's name somewhere. The beginning of the book made me think of the book 1984; this one seems to be a retelling of the story but with a technological perspective. I did not see any errors in the sample, and I cannot think of anything that needs improvement. I will be skipping this title because of my aversion to dystopian novels. There is an official OnlineBookClub review for this title, but I did not need to read it to know that this book was not for me. After seeing the title and the cover of this book, I thought I was looking at some slightly odd customer service manual. The blurb and other available information at Amazon revealed that it was not the case; instead, this was a science fiction story. I would not have sampled this book without this program for two different reasons. First, I originally made a wrong assumption of the content, and second, even though the blurb cleared the misunderstanding, I'm not too fond of futuristic stories. I did not enjoy reading the sample, as it gave some clues about what our future might look like if we don't watch out. The idea of a talking refrigerator that decides what to give you for breakfast might work for someone, but it sounds like a horror story for me. This story seemed well-written, but I did not think it was particularly imaginative. Despite being annoyed about people being led by artificial intelligence, I noticed I was getting bored quickly. Reading the Official OnlineBookClub review of this book did not alter my feelings about this story. Some science fiction fans might find this book interesting, but I mainly felt annoyed. It clearly is not my kind of book, and I am not planning to read it. I did not notice any errors in the sample. Thus, I believe this book was professionally edited.

I would not have picked this book up based on the cover alone. The cover art and title suggest that it is a science fiction novel. That is not a genre I typically enjoy. The Online Book Club review was very positive and recommended the book. This increased my interest but I still don’t know if the book is for me. The first ten pages begin with a note on the translation from a global language to English. Next, there are several pages regarding the terms of service. There were some errors in the first ten pages. For example, on the first pages of the terms of service, there is an end quote without a beginning quotation. The author could have improve the book with additional editing. For the reasons given, I will not finish reading this book.

I like the interesting choice of title and cover for the book which seems to be slightly eerie. However, after reading the description, I was not sure if I would enjoy the book since it's about the dystopian era, a genre that I'm not very fond of, despite the numerous positive customer and editorial reviews received by the book. Fortunately, the sample managed to change my mind as I really liked the writing style of the author. Hence, I will be finishing the story. My favourite part was the beginning of the story that speaks of the laws in place for the 'customers', given by the company. There were some minor errors in the first few pages, but they didn't affect my reading experience negatively ('After a few more seconds {add comma} she opened her eyes'). I would suggest making the description more interesting and adding some lines from the book to make the plot seem more interesting to the reader.

Looking at the cover illustration, I think that the book might belong to the science fiction genre; I am not in the market for books like these, so I would not have sampled it. I did come across a commendatory official OBC review of the book, but due to the genre mismatch, my decision regarding sampling remains unchanged. However, the cover illustration is extremely well-designed, and I think this is the first time I've seen an asterisk in a book title being used to indicate extra information (rather than for aesthetic) – I think this is very creative. Unfortunately, I still found a couple of errors present. For example, at 8% in the sample, there is an instance of erroneous usage of semicolons: "...quick responses; nothing important.". In this case, the semicolon is wrongly used because semicolons are used to separate independent clauses, and "nothing important" is not an independent clause. An em dash would have sufficed. Hence, I suggest more rigorous editing, not only because I expect error-free reads in published works, but also because an error-filled book makes for a poor reading experience. I like that there is a lot of description and background information, which makes for a more immersive read; however, personally, this is also a double-edged sword, because not everything has to be described in intricate detail (which the author tends to do). To illustrate, whilst I appreciate how the fridge has been written to have its own personality (not wanting to dispense sausage and eggs for breakfast), I hardly think it's necessary to talk about how Kim arrived at the turnstile 10 seconds behind schedule, then going on to talk about the wider societal consequences of being late for one whole paragraph (e.g., the AIs might then give her a whole week of long commutes). This extra information can be woven in more naturally in the story. Hence, I suggest that the author work with the editor to improve the fluidity of writing (without seeming like an information dump). Still, as I am not in the market for science fiction, I will not be buying the book today.

I can imagine a time when AI might control us, and those are not pleasing thoughts to me. I didn't find anything that needed improving in what I read, and I didn't find any errors. The concept of "going out" for recreation with friends being virtual is fascinating yet disturbing! And everyone dressing the same is even more disturbing to me. I liked the part where everyone was at work "right on time" because I found the preciseness of that fascinating. The concept of the story is a good one, but just a little bit too realistic to me! For that reason, I have decided not to purchase and read the book.

I enjoy science fiction and the cover and title had me mildly interested, so I wanted to read more about this book. I read a good official OnlineBookClub review and the sample pages and was still only mildly interested. I like the housebots that make a perfect cup of coffee, but having AI’s run your life sounds boring. This book would be improved with more action in the beginning. I found no editing errors, so this book seems professionally edited. The book may get interesting later on, but the beginning was rather slow paced. I will pass on this book.

I wouldn't have checked the sample if it weren't on BOTD because I am not fond of sci-fi books. However, the plot seems fascinating, and the official review has nothing but praise for this book. So, I'm a little thrilled to read the sample. I'm genuinely surprised by this book. It's my first time reading a customer agreement in a book. I'm surprised in an unpleasant way, unfortunately. That made the book seems boring in my head. After that agreement, the sample of the book is well-written. I didn't notice any grammatical mistakes. The narration flowed smoothly, and the world Kim was currently living in was excellently visualized. It somehow reminded me of 'Cinder' by Stephanie Meyer. I genuinely enjoyed reading the sample. So, I will continue reading it. If possible, I would recommend removing that customer agreement.

The title sounded boring to me, but the cover made the book look interesting, especially since it is a sci-fi novel. I enjoyed reading the blurb, editorial review, official OBC review, and customer reviews. After reading these reviews, I felt this book would be interesting and intriguing to read. In addition, I enjoyed the first ten pages, and I would like to complete this book. Kim seems so brainwashed, even though she is becoming dissatisfied with the system. I look forward to seeing how she’ll revolt. I didn’t see any errors in this book, and I have no suggestions for improvements. If I weren't a part of this program, I would still read this book because the official OBC review made it seem interesting.

As I do not read sci-fi/fantasy novels, I would not have read the book based on the genre, OBC review, blurb, editorial reviews, and customer reviews. I appreciated both the cover and the title, but sampling the book did not change my mind. The story is set in the future and follows the adventures and misadventures of Kim as she is determined to escape from a world controlled by evil AIs. I liked the author's descriptive writing style but did not feel invested in the story. Furthermore, I would suggest another round of editing; I encountered some errors that distracted me from my reading. For example, I noticed a missing comma after "system" in the following sentence: "In the crowded confines of the transit system a certain amount of shoving and jockeying for position was tolerated." (location 273 of 586 • 46%) There should be a comma after "day" in the following sentence: "On a warm, sunny day the walk was pleasant." (location 228 of 586 • 39%) There should not be a comma before "but" in the following sentence: "Kim had mostly recovered, but still suffered from persistent dreams." (location 513 of 586 • 88%)

Following my reading the title’s official OnlineBookClub review and Amazon page, I opted to acquire the science fiction book. The novel's cover art is very eye-catching, and its title, especially the subtitle “Subject to change without notice,” is very intriguing. I am fascinated by the futuristic society where the story takes place, in which AIs have taken over the world and are controlling almost everything such as the attire people are allowed to wear and the topics that they are allowed to talk about. I am interested in finding out if Kim will be successful in her plan to break free from this kind of world. Sampling the book did not make me want to change my mind. I would acquire it because of the similar reasons I already stated above. The first ten pages contain the first two sections entitled 'A Note On The Translation' & 'Customer Agreement' and some pages of Chapter 1: An Ordinary Day. What I liked most is reading about the high technology that exists in Kim’s world. I did not note any errors in the sample; the book seems professionally edited. I have nothing to suggest to the author.

I'm such a huge fan of all dystopian stories, and as I am currently learning a lot about artificial intelligence, this is definitely a book I would read if I was not part of the First Ten program! The blurb and cover are both great. After reading the sample, I have not changed my mind. I would not change anything. There was nothing I disliked. My favorite part of the book were the little additions of textual ads or meeting notices like "25% off on Kale, Lentils, and Quinoa!" — this formatting really helped the satirical world-building. It was professionally edited. The official review on OnlineBookClub did not affect my decision.

The cover and title look like science fiction, a genre I enjoy. The blurb mentions artificial intelligence and virtual reality, but I did not find the plot catchy. Customer reviews are a mix of positive and critical feedback. Hence, I will skip this book outside the program. What I appreciate from the sample is that it seems to explore the trade-offs in an ideal, highly advanced, and organized civilization. However, I will not finish the book. I prefer a faster pace. Here are some examples of editing issues.

Location 407. Spelling. Compound word. Consider adding a hyphen.

The ball shot past the diving outfielder and rolled to the [center field] wall.

Location 481. Grammar. Consider changing the verb forms to agree with the pronoun "it."

Her mentor, Zani, had been particularly strict about selfist language, to the point where she was afraid to even think that particular word, lest it [slip] out and [draw] a severe reprimand.

I have no suggestions for improvement. An official OnlineBookClub review is available, but, I will skip this one.

The book's cover failed to catch my interest, especially since it is void of color. After reading the OBC review, I would have not sampled this book. I dislike Artificial Intelligence stories that involve humans subjugation by cyborgs or bots. The story details are vivid, which helped with my interest level. The argument with the refrigerator was humorous. Professional editing seems apparent, since I did not encounter any errors. I think I would change the cover by adding color or more refined details to be more appealing. I will not finish reading this book based on my personal bias as mentioned before. The book might appeal to readers who enjoy futuristic stories, including AI bots being a prominent feature.

I really liked the portion of this book that I read. I am concerned that Kim doesn’t even get to choose what she has for breakfast. The AI knows what is best. All of the uniformity bothers me, too. Everything that I read in reviews, especially the OBC one, and the blurb, encouraged me to read this. The cover art is a little strange, but the title is intriguing, and I like books in the sci-fi genre. I was unaware of errors in the sample, and since this was translated from its original language, I attribute that to good editing. I don’t think that it can be improved. I’m going to get it.

Based on the genre, title, cover and blurb, I would not have sampled this book if I were not part of this program. I don’t read many sci-fi novels. The comparison of this story to 1984 did pique my curiosity, though. The sample pages were interesting. I enjoyed getting to know Kim and following her morning schedule. The interaction with the bots and AI was intriguing, and I noticed a similarity to 1984. (I have not seen The Matrix.) I considered buying this book. It would have been a different type of read for me, and I would have liked to have seen more of Kim’s world and if she would be successful in her upcoming challenges. The book appeared professionally edited. I did not notice any grammatical errors in the first ten pages, and I have no suggestions for improvement. The featured OnlineBookClub review was very thorough and mentioned the excessive use of drugs and alcohol in the story and also the extensive descriptions of intimacy and erotic scenes. These two revelations saved me from finding this out while reading the story. It would have negatively affected my reading experience. This convinced me not to buy this book. Other customer and editorial reviews had no bearing.

The concept of a world dominated by artificial intelligence is unique in some ways and points to where we are as a civilization in another. I found the notion of housebots and artificial intelligence on the creepy side. For that reason, I don’t plan to read this whole book. It’s professionally edited. I saw no errors at all in the sample. What I liked most about what I read was how Kim rebelled against the gender-neutral and bland society that was forced upon the world. I know that readers who value freewill will appreciate that aspect of the story. I saw no reasons for improvement in what I read today. I enjoyed the 4 star review by the Online Book Club, nice work!

The book cover is intriguing, but the title does not make much sense to me. Out of curiosity, I would pick this book up if I would see it in a bookstore. The customer reviews, blurb and OBC review gave a thorough description of the book and made me look forward to reading the sample. The sample is well edited and written in an easy-going way. I found the description of this futuristic world, with lots of AI and VR, very interesting as I am sure that this is not only science fiction but can be very true in the future. As science fiction is one of my favourite genres, I will buy this book and read it. I have no suggestions for improvement.

I was interested in this book from the title, cover, description, and genre. Sci-fi fantasy is one of my favourite genres. I was a bit apprehensive about sampling it because though this book had glowing editorial reviews, the customer reviews were mixed. I did not also get a good grasp of the book from the official OnlineBookClub review. However, I was not disappointed when I read the first few pages. The author did a great job describing the post-apocalyptic dystopian setting using Kim’s eyes, and it was enough to intrigue me. I will buy and read this book.

I only noticed one error in part one (An Ordinary Day), so this book seems professionally edited. It may benefit from a final round of editing just to clear this up. I am unable to provide the exact page of the error because the format I read on Amazon did not have page numbers. An excerpt of the error is as follows: ‘Kim’s answers to these questions were fiirst [first] compared with those of two other trainers…'

I would choose to read a sample of this book because of the title and cover. I read customer reviews, Official OnlineBookClub review, and the blurb but they did not influence my decision. When it comes to editor reviews, they gave me an insight into the structure of the book, and in that sense, they influenced my decision. The title of the book is very interesting, unusual, and impressive. The cover of the book is futuristically designed and fits well with the title. I will not read the book because I am not in the mood to read crime & mystery science fiction books at the moment. While reading the sample I did not notice any typos or errors and the book seems like it is professionally edited. Reading the sample did not change my mind from my original guess. I like how the author described the housebot and the whole neural network system that help Kim get what she wants in the house. I don't think anything needs to be improved in the book.

The cover was frightening, and the title piqued my interest. If I hadn't read the first ten pages, I would have read the book based on these. The official OBC review, as well as the first ten pages, made me curious to see what Kim would do if the system turned on her. The positive reviews from volunteers and customers convinced me that this is a story worth reading. I liked how Kim became irritated with the monotonous food she was fed every day. I'm looking forward to learning more about Kim and her quest to be free. The book was professionally edited because there weren't any errors. I couldn't think of anything that needed to be improved.

The cover looks very nice and futuristic. I would sample a book that looked like that. However, the subject of AIs didn't intrigue me enough, so the blurb and the OBC review couldn't convince me. The Amazon reviews seemed mixed, so I didn't know what to expect. I like the fact that there are robots who know exactly what humans desire like Housebot knew how and when Kim wanted her coffee. I like how the morning routine is highly detailed. It also reminds me of "1864" by George Orwell. Overall, the sample was very addictive, but the subject doesn't interest me enough to want to read a whole book about it. I don't have anything to recommend for improvement. The first ten pages seemed neatly edited, as I didn't spot any mistakes.

The cover is quite futuristic. It's appropriate, and it appears to be professionally designed. However, since sci-fi is not one of my preferred genres, the cover didn't catch my attention. It's a good idea to give the readers known references in the blurb ("The Matrix" and "1984") but, as I mentioned, I don't care for sci-fi, and much less for the kind of sci-fi that's plausible and terrifies me. Adding to this, the ratings for the book are mixed, so I wouldn't have bought the book based on my first impressions.
The first ten pages changed my mind. Ever since the author makes quite a believable note on the translation from Panglobal to English, he caught my attention because it's an effective and original way to immerse the reader in this new world. Further on, I liked the little details that make Kim human, even in such an automatized world. For example, how she argues for her sausage and eggs even if she probably knows she'll never win the argument, or how anthropomorphizes the fridge, calling it "malevolently indifferent." I didn't find editing mistakes, nor do I have suggestions because everything seems well-executed. The official OBC review furthered my enthusiasm for the book.

'Terms of Service' is written by Craig W. Stanfill. Kim has been working with The Artificial Intelligence Company. Everything in her life is controlled. She is now bored with her life. I like how the author creates a world where AIs have basically taken over the world. I am also intrigued by the Panglobal language. I would not change anything. The editing is good. Based on the cover, title, genre, blurb, editorial reviews, and customer review, I would read the book as I found them all interesting. The OBC review made me invested in the plot. After reading the first ten pages, I have decided to read this book as I want to know Kim's story.

I would have checked this book out based on the cover and title because I enjoy reading most sci-fi/fantasy books. However, the blurb discouraged me from reading this book because I am not fond of books about Artificial Intelligence. The customer reviews, editorial reviews, and the OnlineBookClub review did not influence my decision not to read this book. I quickly became bored with the first ten pages reading about Kim’s hangover, morning routine, and commute to work. I prefer a faster pace in the first ten pages of any book. Since this is a personal preference, and other readers may like the slow pace, I have no recommendations for the author. I like that the author starts the book with the “Customer Agreement,” which sets the tone for the book. The book appears to have been professionally edited, as I did not see any errors in the first ten pages. I will not buy and read this book because I am not interested in reading about Artificial Intelligence characters.

The genre of this book is not for me. After reading other reviews and the blurb, I'm sure it is not a book for me. After reading the sample, I haven't changed my mind. While AI and the way the author presented the characters are imaginative and innovative, I'm not curious enough to continue reading. I'm not sure I want to read a book where everyone is a she. There are no errors in the sample, as far as I can tell. I wouldn't change anything about the book. There is an excellent Official OnlineBookClub review that should give readers an idea about the book. I like the cover.

Total ~ 41%

Terms of Service earned a score of 41%.

In other words, out of the top-level reviewers who read at least the first 10 pages of this book, 41% plan to read the whole book.

IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable.

Over a million books are published each year. Any given person could not even read .0001% of the books out there. This means readers have to be very selective. Even taking the time to look over reviews and blurbs, let alone read samples, is more time than most readers can afford for most books. The First Ten is a powerful focus group that addresses those issues. It creates a helpful tool for authors, publishers, and other readers.
