I totally agree with you! It's such an interesting take on ancient Greece and Sparta obviously.

Oh, interesting! That book is on my wishlist but I am not planning on reading it anytime soon. How is it so far? If it is not a bother, I would love to hear it. :)
I really enjoyed it, just give it a try to see if it's your kind of book.

Currently reading Hollywood and The Bible by Benjamin Sambil. I am halfway through the book and it's quite good. I love how it provokes my thinking.

I just finished Between Two Kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad. I HIGHLY recommend reading this book. Though it focuses on the protagonist's journey battling cancer, it goes over the before, during, and after and really honed in on how she found herself. It was as much as self care book as it was memoir about a cancer survivor.

I'm reading "James Herriot's Animal Stories", by James Herriot. It's a great collection of veterinarian animal stories. Plus, I found it at a book sale for $1.00. 😋

I am reading Difficult Conversations: How To Discuss What Matters Most by Douglas Stone, Bruce Patton, and Sheila Heen, and I'm finding it very helpful. I wish I had found it years ago!

For fun, I'm about to start The Best of Me by David Sedaris. This one is an audio book. I like to have both a book to read and a book to listen to going at the same time. I'm curious how people feel about audio books in this group - do you consider it the same as reading?

I just started Lilly of the Mountain for my first review on this service. So excited! It's really good so far. And tonight I am going to listen to the audio book of Rebecca by Daphne Du Murier. I loved the Netflix adaption.
