Ive never listened to one but I can see the appeal. I think one would be great on a long journey but surely its hit or miss depending on whos reading it?

I read "The Awakening" a novel by Kate Chopin some years ago for a college assignment & found it very difficult to come to grips with. The book is set in New Orleans and southern Louisiana at the end of the nineteenth century and deals with the prevailing social attitudes at that time. Then I got a tape of the book being read and it was truly an awakening it was like a totally different book when it was read in a Southern accent. Unfortunately I have no idea who the reader was but it was brilliant.

I am enjoying listening to collections of Stephen King on CD. He has some longer stories and some short stories. But I'm tired of the radio and my CDs, and listening to the audio books make driving time pass by much quicker.

I do understand that some books are easier to read than listen to, especially if you are a visual person and can't really concentrate on just listening to something. I used to be that way.

I don't like audio books at all. I prefer to read usual books, paper ones which I can touch, smell and so on. :D

I think some Korean books like 'Things You Only Can See When You Slow Down' would be a good recommendation to listen to as an audiobook. Especially nowadays, there are many websites and applications that provide audiobooks with customizable voices. This would greatly help you to listen comfortably.
