Both actually. The problem is not having enough time to read.

I often begin reading in a seated position, but if a book truly captivates me, I become so engrossed that I lose track of my posture and often end up lying down while continuing to read.

For me I'd say sitting up, because I usually fall asleep while laying down to read but hey that's just me.

he best way to read depends on what feels comfy for you. Some like sitting at a desk or in a cozy chair, while others prefer lying down. Just make sure you don't strain your neck or back. Find what works for you and enjoy your reading adventure!

I imagine that there are benefits to reading in the upright position because of circulation and blood flow displacement. I do both, though I prefer to read digital books while I lie down and physical books while I sit up. I believe it's purely because one's done on a laptop and the other is holding an actual text, though I process the two media differently, so I'm unsure of the actual distinction.

I sit up and read. Laying down makes it difficult for me to hold the book and read. I usually get up every now and then to calm my neck muscles though. I try to maintain a good sitting posture to help me focus and concentrate for prolonged periods.

I love reading laying down, but since my eyesight got worse, I try to sit up most of the time, as it is also better for the spine.

I prefer to read lying down because it helps with the physical pain I experience. I don’t get tired doing it this way but my boyfriend has that problem. Maybe you could try sitting up but in a more relaxed position?
