My favorite character is definitely Heathcliff, although he was somewhat the villain and was fueled by anger and revenge, he lived a sad and lonely life. He loved Catherine till his last breath even though it brought him so much pain. Unpopular opinion but I blame Nelly for their separation, because she knew Heathcliff was listening to her conversation with Catherine and said nothing, if only Heathcliff didn't hear any of that, and if Nelly had just warned Catherine that Heathcliff was in the room, he would not have run away.
