I read to learn and gain knowledge and escape from my daily routine. Getting lost in a book helps transport me to different worlds for entertainment. With books, I learn new skills, gain perspectives on different cultures and philosophies, gain insights into historical events, and get mentally stimulated. Unwinding in a quiet environment brings me a calming effect.

I fell in love with reading when I discovered that it opens a door to other worlds. Fantasy and magical elements are my favorite themes to get lost in. Yes, I do indeed enjoy reading. I too, like to read to hear what people have to say. I think that is the main reason that I lean towards nonfiction books. It feels more real and surprisingly, in a way, I actually feel that my mind can be more creative? I believe it is because of the possibility of real life consequences or the thought of anticipation for real life events.

I was one who didn't like to read until eight years ago when my mom passed away. She loved to read and she also wrote some books. She was my best friend and shortly after she passed away, I talked to my sister and told her that I wanted to start reading because of mom. My sister was reading books by Irene Hannon at the time and so she told me about her and that once you start reading them, you can't put them down.

Ever since my sister told me of this author, I have been reading all the time and I am loving it! I love reading christian mysteries which is what Irene Hannon writes a lot of and I also like to read some mystery/suspense novels. If you haven't read any of her books, I highly recommend.
