I would say a lot. I started reading English novels when my English teacher suggested that to me. Then I became addicted, I would read a book and write some sort of review about the book and the new I learned from each book.

Reading has helped my oral and written communication. I am able to express myself explicitly to people of different socioeconomic backgrounds. My peers and family request my assistance frequently to proofread letters, resumes, essays etc.

Reading is one of the best ways to expand your vocabulary. You aren't just googling definitions and learning the terms--you're also watching how they play out contextually, which is equally as important when it comes to understanding language. My vocabulary was at its finest when I was in high school and had to read heavy material all the time.

Reading has definitely expanded my vocabulary. Whenever I don't know a word I'm reading I look it up. Although I find I tend to look the word up more when I'm reading an e-book as it's easier to do than when reading a physical book.

When you read a book, you get accustomed to the way that certain people talk, and you find new words. Books not only present you with new vocabulary knowledge, but also help you remember those words, because you meet the same word at least 10 different times in a book

For me it's helped to identify writing styles I like and dislike. Also, the more I read, the less I have to resort to a thesaurus when my writing feels boring.

I have been reading for many many years, it has helped me with my vocabulary and spelling. Kids from school would usually ask me if they didn't know how to spell certain words.

As a non-native English speaker, reading books helped me improve my English and vocabulary. I didn't take any language courses. but I depended on reading books of different genres to improve my language.

Since English is not my first language, reading books in English helped me to understand it a lot better.

It has helped A LOT. I've been reading since I was a child, and I've never had any problems with my classes or putting my thoughts into words in general. There are definitely times that I know a vocabulary but I don't consciously know what it means, but I know how to use it. In general, I think reading is just a great way to become fluent in a language

As you can pick from my grammar English is not my first language. Everytime I found new words in a I am reading I will write them down them in the last pages of the book. I think that have helped me a lot. I think I have to apologize authors for wrecking their books 🙏
