No I can not because someone how can not read books its too hard to understand you when you tell her or him about a story that you read in a book that you come a cross and you enjoy it its too hard to tell someone story who doesn't like reading books

I have dated someone who hates reading and while I thought it would not work out, it turned out to be pretty well actually. The major thing in such a reader-non-reader relationship is the respect the non-reader partner has for the reader partner's love for reading, I believe. Though, I would prefer dating a person who loves reading as much as I do, I am open to both the aspects as long as I get along well with that person and there's mutual love and respect for each other's choices and likes! :)

Well I did date people who don't read, we got along fine. But I must admit that was also during the period of me slowing down on reading. Now that I am a more avid reader, I relish having a partner with whom we can have deep conversation about books. Books connect even more profoundly. It's the soul that bonds. I would say people who love reading 📚 will enjoy a more healthy relationship.

Yes! I have been dating a non-reader for the past 5 years. We're high school sweethearts. He has ADD, so it would be tough for him to sit through reading an entire book. He also just doesn't enjoy it. His lack of reading doesn't bother me though, he has other hobbies and a full-time job that keep him very busy. He's mainly a car guy and a gamer. We share the same favorite band among other things, people don't have to have everything in common. :) He is still a creative person, which is one of our shared things.

I don't read as much as I would like. When I decide to do so though, I can just sit next to him or nearby and read while he plays games with his buddies. It takes him a while to read, but he recently started the first book in the Warriors series! I don't know if he'll get through it, but I don't mind if he doesn't. :romance-inlove:

I've been married to my husband for 19 years and I don't think he's ever read a book, unless it was with our kids at bedtime, haha. He has a learning disability which makes reading more challenging and not enjoyable. However, he has always respected my love for reading. He doesn't try to interrupt me, doesn't get annoyed with me reading in bed until all hours, just accepts it's me. He plays video games and I read.

That will not last long. What will you talk about? Movies? I have not seen that, but I read the book.

I honestly can't tell, the people I have dated have always inexplicably been readers (and writers!). It would be a little sad if I couldn't sit down and rant about my latest fav to my s/o. Plus, there's something about liking books that just makes someone all the more attractive.
