It depends. It depends on if i have time to get lost in a book or not.

As a matter of fact, I read the description of the book. If I like it, i will read it, regardless its size.

It really depends on what you are reading. One of my favourite book on Zen, Zen in the Art of Archery, is ridiciously thin.

It honestly depends on how many pages it has. The one books that bother me the most are the ones that have been broken up into a bunch of little books like maybe 70 pages a piece and there is like 8 books all together. I would rather buy a longer book and enjoy reading it that have to read a short book after another short book

Not really, if I read the sample and it was interesting I'll stick with it.

At the risk of embarrassing myself, I see many folks have issues with a story being "too short." Well, that's not the issue I have. I think I have some kind of adult ADD because I tend to try not to read novels that look very long--more than 400 pages. I think it's because I'm such a slow reader and it can take me weeks to read a book most people can read in a few days. When I read, sometimes I have to reread a paragraph I just read--I have to reread it because I find that I wasn't paying attention to what I was reading when I first read it (that's wordy, sorry). It's embarrassing when my friends ask me what I'm reading only to tell them I'm still reading the same book I was reading a month ago!

In the end, I more times than not, read a book I know I'll love no matter how many pages it has. If I love the book and it really captures me then the length doesn't really matter. Does it?

Page count isn't very important if the book seems especially interesting, but the length of a huge book that looks like it will be mediocre could be off-putting.

I read a lot of ebooks - so if an ebook is super short, I will not read it, unless it is a special short story from an author I know.

If the book is longer than a novella, page length would determine when I would read the book, rather than just not reading it. Some days I want to buckle down and read a long novel, and some days I am too tired to really get into something long.

In the past, it used to help me decide between two books I was considering purchasing. If all other things were equal and one was longer, I would buy it because I felt I was getting more for my hard-earned money. Since I began editing for an e-zine, I have really discovered the value of tight and concise writing, so I am more open to all lengths from micro-fiction to epic novels.

I'm used to reading a series so i love big books and sometimes we can be quick to judge. I always try to remind myself of The Giver by Lois Lowry, a short novel but an excellent story. It's not quantity, but quality my friends.
