I can read a page in two minutes. I think I scan read. That's why I need only a day to read a book.

I read word by word but I get into this kind of rhythm where the pages just seem to fly by, but other times I am not able to read as fast. I don't know, I guess it's like being in the zone as a reader, especially when things gets really interesting

I always read every word in a book. I find it hard to believe that someone could simply "scan" a book and get a good comprehension of it.

It depends, it could be either. Sometimes I listen to it through Google Books so I can listen while doing other activities and process it word by word.

It sounds like you have a meticulous approach to reading, taking in each word to ensure you fully understand the content. It ultimately depends on the genre of the book for me, there are most here i'll read word for word, and when its starts getting boring, or predictable, i will skim through it

Oh, I don't think my brain will allow me to skip even a sentence. It's word-by-word for me. And how can one connect to a story by scan-reading a book?

A little if both. There will be points in most books where I start to skim, especially if it’s an action/ battle scene or just getting to the good part
