It usually takes me a week to a week and a half to finish a 500 page book however it Depends entirely on the material im reading. I could devour a 500 page book in less than a week in I am immersed in a good book. If the story or plot doesnt capture my attention then I read it within the week to two week period. 1000 page books usually take between 2-3 weeks.

Before I was a mother...a few days. I read the entire Twilight series in seven days. But the books kept me very interested and needing to know what happens! Then I watched the movies....and am no longer a fan. Worst movies I've ever seen... :(

I find an average 500 page book will take me about 3 days to complete. But I have this irrational fear of big books. I am currently rereading Harry Potter and I am dreading order or the Phoenix.

I would say between 3 days and a week for a 500 page book, depending on how gripping it is, and how much time I have at the moment.
A long, long time ago, I did read Stephen King's It, which is, if I remember correctly, about 1200 pages long, in the lapse of a weekend :D

It really depends for me on how interested I am in the book and how much else is going on in my life at the time. I've gotten through an 800 page book in a day before and I've been known to take weeks to finish a 200 page book. I tend to read in spurts rather than on a steady regular basis though.

It depends on what kind of book it is. Some books flow easily and 500 pages can go so quickly. That doesn't necessarily make it a better book. Some books are short because the author was able to express such deep meaning into so few words, and that is probably a much harder feat to accomplish.

It honestly depends on the book. With a really good book I can do 500 pages in about 12 hours straight (sleep is honestly so unnecessary). But sometimes you find awesome books where I'll find such a well written paragraph that I just need to stop for an hour to think about it. And again there are books that I refuse to give up on simply because I've started but i really don't like them, which can take me weeks.

I definitely think it depends on how into the book I am. If I'm really into it, I would say maybe 3 days?

I would say 2 - 3 days depending on how interesting the book is and what else I have going on in my life at the time. I can't say that I have come across many 800 - 1000 page books lately.

To finish a 500 page book, it really depends on if I get really into the book or not. It may take me a day or two, if I cannot put the book down, or around a fortnight. It is truly dependent on the speed of the book, in the way the story progresses. :tiphat:

I usually finish a 500 page book in 2 weeks because I usually have a novel study for school that I am reading at the same time. I can finish a 1000 page book in about a month, depending on how much I enjoy it. Over summer break, however I can finish a 500 page book in less than a week.

I can be a fast or slow reader depending on the type of book I'm reading! So, if the book is fast moving and an interesting read, then a week or two depending on what else is going on. If it's a book that really needs to be read slowly in order to truly enjoy it, then it can take a month.

It all depends on how great the book is, and if it grabs my attention right off the bat. I disliked Salem's Lot so it took me probably a good month to get through it. If the book is great I can see myself reading that size in maybe 2 weeks if I focused on it solely. I have several large books I need to tackle in the next few years so I'm hoping I can become better with this!

In the summer it takes 1 to 2 days but in the school year it takes 3-5.
