Where do you get your books ?

The Greater St. Louis Book Fair sounds like an amazing way to buy books, I would be in so much trouble especially if I went on the last day

I enjoy buying second-hand books, unless, like you, I really really want to read a particular book or I am collecting a series I love. Book sales at libraries, second-hand stores, and yard-sales are typically where I pick up my books.

Though I am starting to enjoy e-books for academic and philosophical reads. I can highlight and take notes without damage to a book. Plus, it makes it super easy to access in the future, instead of having separate notebooks in a shelf or binder.

Amazon. At the moment, I'm mostly living in Mexico, and this is the easiest way to get English-language books. My Kindle is pretty handy too.

I am subscribed to Audible, which was a revelation for me.
I also like to shop local antique book shops for a good read on the beach.

The used books bookstore we had closed and I have yet to find one near the city I live in. New paperbacks are too expensive in the fancy bookstores so I'm just re reading the ones I bought until I find another used books bookstore.

I get my books from so many different places!
I do have Kindle Unlimited so I do read a lot of those offered books, but if something is not on Kindle Unlimited I will use Libby. Libby is an online app that you can connect to your library card and check out ebooks for free.
If it is not offered by Libby I'll head over to BetterWorldBooks or ThriftBooks to see if it is discounted. I use Amazon as a last resort for physical books because it is typically more expensive.
If I want to buy new I will go to Amazon as I feel it is a trusted source.

For a lot of my extreme horror novels that I can;t access on Amazon due to content issues, I will go directly to the author's website or Etsy and purchase from there.

I usually borrow books from the library, but sometimes I also buy them from Goodwill, thrift stores, or yard sales. Recently, I bought a Kindle and I'm testing out the free 3-month unlimited subscription service. I'm interested to see if I like it.

Book sales at public libraries are so underrated. I head there every month and come out with a full bag of books for less than $10!

Whatever I can source from used book stores are always a bonus. A book that I intend to keep forever will be purchased

I get most of my books from stores. But when I don't find hard copy of a book, I usually search on this site called Library Genisis for free. It has got almost all of the books in any formats which is amazing.

Some I get from local bookstores, some from online stores, both local and international. Many also from the Libgen website, and quite a few from OBC for now.

I also enjoy hunting for books in these kinds of spots; it’s always exciting to find a new read at a bargain. Sometimes, when a book is getting a lot of buzz and you don’t want to wait, it’s worth splurging a bit. Books from the street vendors, used book stores, libraries, bookshops, supermarkets, and being given by a friend.
