Two and sometimes three books at a time. They are usually very different genres. For example, at the moment I am reading an autobiography, a horror story and a non-fiction historical book. If they were too similar, I would probably get plot lines/characters mixed up in my head unless it was an exceptional read.

I must confess that at times I may be involved with 3 to 5 books at the same time. I have most of my books on my Kindle but also have "real books" that I am reading at the same time. I may start one on my Kindle, read a chapter or 2, and then start another one. At times, a book will grab me at the first chapter and I wont stop until I read the entire book. I always have a "real" book in my purse so that I can pull it out to read at places where my Kindle is not handy.

I generally read about three books at the same time, for leisure. I have some books I'm required to read, so the actual count can be much higher.

In the past I have been known to have more than one book going at a time. It usually only worked for me when the books were from totally different genres. These days, I find myself needing to finish a book before starting another. Thankfully, I am able to read a book a day, so I usually don't have to wait too long to get to whatever is waiting for me.

I only read one at a time. I want to focus on one book and finish it before I pick up another book.

Too many. Sometimes I start so many books I forget what I'm reading.

I prefer starting a book and finishing it with breaks only for eating and mandatory bodily function breaks. But I don't get to do that much anymore. Ah, those long-ago days of being too young to have a regular job and having three months off for summer.

I used to think the idea sounded crazy and that I would confuse the books with each other, but now I often read more than one book at a time as long as they are not similar!

I'm a one book at a time gal. I can't do more that one as I tend to have to go back and reread if I have more than that going.

Normally, I find myself reading three or four. I leave one at work, one or two in the house, then one in the car.

I never read more than one book at a time. I can't bring myself to start another before I've completely finished the one I'm reading.
