If it's a really good book and I have lots of time just a few days. Unfortunately, there are usually many other things that need done before I can devote myself to reading.

It really depends on the time I have available to read and the book. Typically, if I really like the book, I can read a 300-page novel in one day when I have the time off. If I am working, I can finish it in 3 nights. If the book is not one that I have fallen in love with, it might take 4 or 5 days to finish at 500 pages.

It depends on how interesting the novel itself is and how much time I have to dedicate to just sitting and reading.

A good 500 page book that has my interest I can do in maybe a week, to a week and a half if my free time gets decreased. As the number of pages increases the time it takes me to finish definitely increases as well, so 1000 page book would push towards 2 weeks.

I will usually finish a book with 500 pages in less than a week. I've been known to marathon read a book in one day when I get enough time to myself. As I get older I'm finding less time to indulge myself in these marathons! Now it's more likely that I slip in time each night before bed.

It depends. If I like the book, or if I have time.

When I have extra time after my classes + weekends, I typically finish a 500 pages book in 1 1/2 days.
This is based on reading books like Harry Potter, Charles Dickens (Unabridged), and David Copperfield (Unabridged)

If the book is really interesting I can usually finish in about 2 days, but if its a slow read then it would be about 5-6 days.

If I really love the book, I could read it in 3-4 days.

It takes me about a week to finish a 500 page book if I'm really busy, if not I finish it in 3-4 days.

The page numbers don't really affect how long it takes me to read a book. I can be reading a 200 page book and it can take me a week to read. For me it's all about what I have going on and how much I am interested in the story. If I am not that interested and it's kinda boring, I will have a hard time focusing on it.
I agree! Oftentimes, life just gets in the way...but if the book is that good, then other responsibilities just have to wait.

For me it depends on a lot of things. Of course if I find it interesting then I'll probably go through it faster but it also depends on how much free time I have to read. Sometimes I have days where I have nothing to do but read and other times I go weeks with only reading a few chapters because I'm busy and I'm not one of those lucky ones that can read in a room filled with noise. :P

If it's interesting enough, I can actually finish it in a day. But then my head will hurt and my eyes will probably pop out from the strain. Well, you can always set intervals.

It depends on several things for me. If it is an interesting book, or uncomplicated it will take me a few days. I read the last Harry Potter book in less than a day when it came out. Some books, such as George R.R. Martin's, take me longer because there is so much going on, and so many characters. Plus, there are some subjects that I can read about for hours, while others I have to take a break from.

It varies so much. Pageturners are read quickly as I HAVE to know what happens in the end. Sleepless nights occur if it's a really good one! Nonfiction definitely goes slower. A normal, good but not great book, would take 4-5 days.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.
