That is why I always want to read the book before I see the movie.. which doesn't always happen.

Hence I prefer to read books knowing nothing about the author not even gender (sometimes, of course, gender is obvious from the name).

It makes you wonder if the author had an actor in mind when they wrote a story.Brother Juniper wrote:I do. My wife started reading the books too and she asked me, "Does Jim Qwilleran remind you of an actor?" I said, "Tom Selleck, right?" She said, "Exactly!" So I think that's probably a a pretty common connection in those particular books.
