I normally read one book at once. I don't want to take the chance that I might mix up characters and plots. I know that it is probably unlikely. Additionally, I am usually so engrossed in a book that I do not want to stop reading that particular book.

I just read one book at a time. I don't think I've ever read more than one at a time.

The most I've ever read was two. One was for school and the other was by my choice. Now that I'm out of school though, I only ever read one at a time, but I usually know what I'll be reading next before I even finish the one I'm on.

I usually read 2-3 at a time. Not sure how it happens, just end up getting excited about a new book and can't wait to start it. Or I get busy while reading one book then take some time off and then pick up a new book to read. Somehow I don't get the characters confused except for the Game of Thrones and The Wizards First Rule, do not want to read them at the same time. :D

One. I have to stay concentrated on one topic to understand it. I process slowly so reading more than one book will really slow me down a lot.

Always one if it's a novel. I like to feel the natural flow of the author. Reading two books together will create a disharmony in the plot.

The most I have ever read at a time are 5. Three were for school (not a fun couple of weeks) and two were for fun to help me escape from the school readings

I have read 2 or 3 at a time before but I'd rather read just one at a time that way im paying full attention to whats happening and I think about what i'm reading better.

It could be up to four at a time. One for pleasure, one for my general English 9 class, one for my honors class and one for book club. It's crazy!

I couldn't imagine trying to read two stories at once. I feel like I would start to get the stories confused. The only way I could read two books at once is if one of those books is my textbook!
