I read many books at a time. Depending on my mood, if I am reading an actual book or on my tablet, if I'm in bed or the bathtub or at lunch at work (some books DO NOT go to work with me :). ). Sometimes I need a page or two to pick the story back up but I always tell people it's like watching multiple TV shows- everyone can do that without getting confused. If it's a good book and I'm reading too fast, I switch to another one to keep the story "alive" longer. If the book is dragging on and I'm losing interest, I switch and try picking it up again later. And since I'm bilingual, sometimes I'm in the mood to read in German. Try it- I think you might like it!

Sometimes I do two at a time. But I usually have to make sure that they are completely different - lol. I have confused myself before.

Generally one at a time, occasionally two, if the 2nd catches my interest for some reason, and maybe more if I'm on holidays and I pick up some light reading at the airport!

Haha, good question. I just realized I was reading 4 books at a time (3 non-fiction, 1 fiction). I'm down to just the fiction, but today started searching for other reads. Hehe...I don't know if I could juggle that many fiction books at the same time though.

I usually have at least two going, sometimes more, because I'm not always in the mood for the same thing. Usually it's based on the feel of them - if one is more intense, I'll have something lighter to balance it out. Sometimes this means one fiction/one nonfiction; sometimes it's adult fiction/YA, or high fantasy/a shorter contemporary novel. Right now, for example, I have a biography, a YA fantasy novel, and an adult fiction audiobook going simultaneously.

I didn't even know it was possible. I have never read multiple books simultaneously, and it's not something I'm going to start now. When I'm in engrossed in a book, I don't even want to do anything but read it till I finish it. I just want lock myself away and not be bothered by anything or anyone!

I try to only read one book at a time that way you can enjoy the book a lot more and the avoid confusing the storylines and characters. The odd time here and there I will read more then one book.

I usually read two books at a time but any more than that is too much for me to handle.

I normally have my textbook for school plus 2-3 others that I switch between. Sometimes I have a hard time staying with the same novel start to finish.

I can only read one book at a time because I will forget or get confused with the story lines. If I'm feeling brave and read two books I end up not picking one of the books up until I finish one first. Then I just have to reread it from the start again.

Usually I stick to one book at a time, but I have had up to three at one time. One at work, one at home and an audio book in the car.

I can only handle reading one book at a time. Reading more than one book would just be too much for me.

I usually have 2-4 books going at once. Right now I am working my way through The Wheel of Time on audiobook, and alternating between a fiction and non-fiction book on my Kindle depending on my mood.

I usually read two at once.....different genres. :) Then when I get too bogged down in one, I switch to my second. :) My favorite combo is suspense and humor. When the tension builds too high in the thriller, I switch to funny. :) Somehow funny stuff is even funnier when it's a chaser for scary/horror/thrills. :)
