Same here. I need different kinds of books to distract my mind from real life.

I usually tend to read a minimum of two books at once, usually of different genres. I usually switch between them depending what sort of mood I'm in and what genre I would prefer to read at that point.

I usually read about 3 books at any given time. I like to read a few at once so that when i get tired of one story line i can get a break and go to another. When i go back to that book i have a fresh view reading it again and can appreciate the overall book better.

I would prefer to read one book at a time. However, I have recently been reading 3 books at once, due to an upcoming book club meeting and the BOTM here.

I usually keep 2-3 books going all the time, but I've been known to have 5-6 going at one time.

I met this lady at a used book store that it's not only around the block to where i live here in NEW YORK CITY ,but i also has thousands of used books for sale .The books are in so good of a condition that you start wondering ,are these books really used ? This lady and i started talking about books and i am an avid reader,i am also a book collector.I also have my own online used and new book selling business. We started giving each other ideas about books we have read before and i noticed she was telling me about to different books at once and i asked her about it and she said ,she reads two books at once. She explained to me the trick to not getting lost or confused with your stories and how much fun it is,i decided to try it and have been doing it for 6 months now.I read 2 books at once.

Its not unusual for me to have 2 or 3 books going at once if I am not super into any of them. If I pick up one that is really good then I will read that straight through.

I often juggle a fiction book, a nonfiction pleasure book, and a nonfiction study book together. I am constantly at odds with myself over what to read next, because I enjoy fiction, but I also like American History, and I try to read books on leadership and faith-growing constantly.

Right now I'm reading the first Harry Potter book, Kyle Idleman's Not A Fan, and Killing Patton by O'Reilly and Dugard.

I have read up to the at a time. Usually one at home, one at work at lunch time, and I frequently listen to an audio book on my commute to work.

I usually read two to three books at a time. I usually have an ebook going in one genre, a paper copy in another and usually a non fiction one sitting here to read as well. Sometimes a cook book thrown in. Depends on what I am in the mood for at that moment I sit down to read. If I have a real engrossing captivating book going though I usually can't put it down to read another till I've finished it.
