I read Divergent in a few days - couldn't put it down! And I'm a busy mom of 3 who works - many late nights with that book!

I read the sixth Harry Potter book in roughly 2 hours. Ironically even with a full time job I re-read the whole series in 28 days.
Now it's all change, it's got to change more
Cause we think it's getting better
But nobody's really sure

Not sure of the fastest time, but 3-4 hours unless it is a long, involved plot. There are times when a good book gets it's hooks into me and I just hate to put it down. I've been know to stay up most of the night trying to finish a good book and then drag myself to work the next morning. Always worth it for a really good read!

I would have to say one 24 hour period, some I can finish in one afternoon. If I am really into a good book I wont be able to put it down. I devour them!

I finished reading "Harry Potter & the Deadly Hollows" in some 8 hours (not in a stretch though), but I liked grabbing the copy + making way into the beautiful and fantastic world of Harry :P

I read a short story about a kidnapped girl in about an hour, but it surprisingly still left an impact

Since leaving college and joining the working world, I haven't had as much time to read as I had in the past. So, really, the last time I finished a book with any real speed was back in elementary school when I read Ms. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh in less than a day. Now, I average about a week depending on which medium I'm using to read (ebook versus paperback/hardback book).

I have read a book in about 3 to 4 hours, also depending on the length. I feel I'm a fast reader :)

The first time I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I devoured it in one afternoon. I was always a natural speed reader. Got me in trouble in school because my teachers never believed me when I said I'd finished reading the assignment. Then they tested us for reading speed in grade 7 and accused me of cheating. I said, "Then test me again and test for comprehension when I'm finished." That was when they FINALLY got it that I just read fast. I don't know any other way to read!
You can't put a rope around the neck of an idea.

I read this YA Contemporary book and got really hooked with it. I read it for 6 hours. And I got frustrated when I found out it's a trilogy because I was left with such a cliff hanger.

I've read 2 different books in about 2 hours - Demon Seed by Dean Koontz and Calico Joe by John Grisham. Both good books.
