Not an easy one... I think I would have to base the list on the books in my shelves which I have read most often (and cheat by listing series and compilations):

1. The Complete Works of Jane Austen
2. J.R.R. Tolkien - The Lord of the Rings
3. Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House" series
4. Rumer Godden - In This House of Brede
5. Gerald Durrell - The Corfu Trilogy
6. Josie Dew - A Ride in the Neon Sun
7. Karen Armstrong - Through the Narrow Gate
8. Louisa M. Alcott's "Little Women" books
9. Charlotte Bronte's novels
10. Philippa Gregory - The Other Boleyn Girl
