I am finding the book an interesting take on the origins of the Wicked Witch of the West and will most likely be checking out some of his other Fairly Tales for adults.
all of gregory maguires books are amazing! the wicked series has three books in it, the best of them being the last one "a lion among men"..."confessions of an ugly stepsister" is pretty awesome too :)

I probably will, but a friend told me to read some of the other King books on my list first because apparently their are references and characters in the Dark Tower series from the other books or something. As a big fantasy reader, I have to make myself read through it eventually.
Most of his books tie onto the tower. Important ones that really add to the reading experience are Salems Lot, The Stand, Insomnia, and Hearts in Atlantis. They all have very direct links

Just finished "Under the Dome" - Stephen King. Not as good as "The Stand" but still a very enjoyable read. I am now starting "Her Fearful Symmetry" - Audrey Niffenegger.

Very light, yes. Currently in the middle of exams myself, not interfering with my studies at all. Its helping me to wind down from the thickness of a days worth Physics, Calculus, and Programming Classes. I'm sure it'll do the same for you.

I've just finished reading CROSS BONES by Kathy Reichs, and now started THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO by Stieg Larsson. Have heard such great things about this Millenium Trilogy and so far so good! :D

I'm reading Three Weeks by Elinor Glyn. I seeked this one out because I've read that it was considered quite naughty when it was published in 1907. Morbid curiosity!

i started 'the algebra of infinite justice' by Arundhato roy. she comes across as quite an anarchist and quite a lot seems to be borrowed from howard zinn and noam chomsky.

Hey, I just started Genghis Khan Life, Death, and Resurrection by John Man. Great book so far and not boring in the least. I finished just recently a great book The Japanese Mind: Understanding Contemporary Japanese Culture by . It was a collection of essays and it was just wonderful. Very intriguing.

Just finished reading Pamuk's 'My name is Red.' This was my fist book by Pamuk and i alredy become his huge fan. I loved the mulit-narrator perspective and passionate commentary on art and life and how they intersect.
