all of gregory maguires books are amazing! the wicked series has three books in it, the best of them being the last one "a lion among men"..."confessions of an ugly stepsister" is pretty awesome tooKitten wrote:Currently reading "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire. I really wanted to see the play when it was in town but unfortunately missed it. I am finding the book an interesting take on the origins of the Wicked Witch of the West and will most likely be checking out some of his other Fairly Tales for adults.

Most of his books tie onto the tower. Important ones that really add to the reading experience are Salems Lot, The Stand, Insomnia, and Hearts in Atlantis. They all have very direct linksI probably will, but a friend told me to read some of the other King books on my list first because apparently their are references and characters in the Dark Tower series from the other books or something. As a big fantasy reader, I have to make myself read through it eventually.

Very light, yes. Currently in the middle of exams myself, not interfering with my studies at all. Its helping me to wind down from the thickness of a days worth Physics, Calculus, and Programming Classes. I'm sure it'll do the same for you.urasay wrote:Bennay wrote:does it qualify as light reading? i have my exams going on so need to unwind once i am done. would u recommend it?best4buys wrote:I am reading Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. It is an enthralling mixture of suspence, ancient ritual, and a shadowy enclave.
