Re: Why do you like reading?
Seems like a lot of us enjoy the feeling of being transported to another world. I think that is what sets us apart from society and makes us unique!supernatural143 wrote: ↑31 Jul 2019, 01:09 I love reading because I am not outgoing. Through reading I get knowledge, I feel transported to another world, and I get to experience the feelings authors share simply by opening a book. In romance books, I get to experience different feelings, fun, and twists in relationships.

I haven’t see in that way! Becoming someone else for a while is very enjoyable! I don’t think that I have ever thought of it that way!

Unfortunately many stories I find are too much on the emotional side- at least for me- so I tend to read more non-fiction books these days. But when it comes to fiction, I like reading Sherlock Holmes. It keeps me guessing.

The answer begins with the first word.
The answer becomes from sight of the first letter...
As each word stands to support eachother.
It is in reading...

....blunder my finger submitted before I could finish! Ah... there you go, expect the unexpected!
I speak of Time... and travels...
Where reading takes you.
It is an infinite universe.
It begins in a single word...
the first letter stands...
It must 'stand' facing you.
It could lift and carry you away but the very second you know, you understand, you think....
Gravity reigns to a complete thought....
where reading is the answer to what, who, when, where or why
to why you read in the first place.
Love is the answer. The verb that follows Why.... You...
Love of life,living, live..
Love of Knowledge...
Ledges upon ledges of it...waiting to create and stand in a single word.
To know a knower, The Knower... and The All-Knowing.
Ie. a writer, The Writer, All Writers.
What do we know?
Ultimately nothing till we know both extreme of good and evil...darkness and light. Where "I" the reader can stand in The Veil of Time and become our own Creator
Just as we are all here now....
Oneness of Time... We are all
'a reader who loves reading'....
But The Reader who loves reading?
The answer reveals itself in His/Her Veil of Time.

1. I love to write. We all know that you can only be a great writer if you are an avid reader.
2. It allows me to explore a lot of places without leaving the comforts of my home.
3. It makes you smarter.

Me too. Just like you said, it's like I'm transported to a different place. I am able to see what the characters see, hear what they hear, feel what they feel through my own eyes. For me, it's magical.sleepydumpling wrote: ↑19 Aug 2007, 21:58 I read for two reasons...
1) To escape. I love being transported to another time or place. I love that feeling of seeing or doing or experiencing something different.
2) To see things from a different perspective. I love a book that makes me think and shows me things from other people's perspectives.

Reading, I have traveled to Patagonia and I have entered the Colombian jungle.
I have found myself in the middle of unimaginable beings with powers and also with myself. I just love to read.
