Re: Why do you like reading?
1) It helps me escape when I am in distress
2)I love imagining things while I'm reading, and putting myself in other's shoes (also compatible with number 1.)
3)I love learning new things
4)It's amazing how two people can see the same book in two different ways - I love talking about books and exchanging opinions.
So, pretty much the same as everyone else.

Because reading increases your vocabulary and your knowledge of how to correctly use new words, reading helps you clearly articulate what you want to say. ... Their conversation tends to be deep, and it makes me grin when little ones use fancy words they found in a book.

In my opinion, the best of human opinions and ideas are not in movies or music; they're in books! Basically, we know because we read it somewhere. I've traveled around the world in books, learned a little of several disciplines from books. I really do not see what else I could do if do not read.
