It doesn't matter to me, but I do like books with shorter chapters.

The amount of pages a book has in it doesn't really matter to me,I love a good book,no matter how long it is.

Not at all, the bigger the better I say & any book under 200 usually doesn't provide enough character depth, story or closure at the end.

Sometimes if I know it will be stormy. I will grab the biggest book I can lay hands on for my Kindle. This way I have guaranteed entertainment if the lights go out. At other times when life is busy I will look for anthologies and such, so I can still have my reading fix.

It does matter to me as well. I generally don't read short stories just because I like to spend more time on enjoying a book than a short story will allow. However, in the rare moments that I want to start and finish a story in one night, then I will look for a short story. So page count does matter in my choice of what to read.

I love to read long novels over short ones if it's a good story

anything under 300 pages doesn't make me a bit curious. i think there's not enough time/room to capture my attention. Eine Billion Dollar by Andreas Eschbach had 900 pages. that made my day :))) (a whole week actually)

It does affect my decision to read a book, but only in a small way - i.e. if I had been reading a really long book I don't always want to read another 600 pages straight away, so I'll most likely opt for a shorter novel, even if the story doesn't interest me as much as the longer book.

If it is incredibly short, most times I'll pass. I tend to prefer the meatier novels.

I tend to like longer stories as well, but it also depends on the price and how much money I am willing to spend at the time. Hahaha. And sometimes if I am in the mood for a quick, easy read, I will go for a "short" story (200 page range).
It's funny... my friends all think that 300 pages is SO LONG and they would never be able to read a story so long. We definitely have different ideas of what is long and what is short.

It doesn't matter how long a book is. I have passed up books that are too short. I look a book that's at least 300 pages.

Depends on the authors ability to tell a story now doesn't it.

Page Count generally doesn't affect me reading a book but if I'm out shopping for a new author or book I am way more likely to pick up a nice large tome than something smaller. I say I probably average a page count of at least 400 recently.
