I've just started 'Mathinna's People' by Nan Chauncy. It appears to be a very touching story with a tragic end. It's about the aborigines of Tasmania who were very happy folks till the arrival of colonists on the island.

Just finished "Dracula" - Bram Stoker. (brilliant, loved it) I am now starting "Lord of the Flies" - William Golding. (Which I have read years ago, but it is so good :) ) and "Water for Elephants" - Sara Gruen, for the book club.

At the moment I'm reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. I think it's a really good book and am enjoying it loads. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good book to read.

Right now I'm reading The Amazing Adventures of Dietgirl, and in the next couple of weeks I also will be reading The Poisonwood Bible, Wicked, Damsel Under Stress, Catcher in the Rye, Half-Assed: A Weight-Loss Memoir, and Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I've given up on Practical Magic, I just couldn't get in to it.

I'm going to attempt Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. I've heard bad and good things but its worth a shot.

Just started reading The Electric Kool-Aide Acid Test by Tom Wolfe. Great so far and I've been excited to read this book for awhile since it's almost like a sequel to On the Road by Jack Kerouac (since Neal Cassady, the inspiration for Dean Moriarty in On the Road is a member of Ken Kessey's Merry Pranksters) and a parallel book to Hell's Angel's by Hunter S. Thompson (since the Merry Prankster/ Hell's Angels get together at La Honda is a major scene in both books) wich are two of my all time favorite books.
