I love reading because a good book gets you emotionally and physically invested in it. I feel like I'm seeing the world from someone else's eyes.

I love reading books (mainly fiction) because the sole act of reading a words on a few pages allows me to experience the amazing possibilities of this huge world. I love reading books because it plays a huge part in making me self-sufficient. I like it how engrossed a book can make me that whole room can be in chaos but I'll still be at Hogwarts, racking my brain with the golden trio, figuring out who opened the chamber of secrets? :D It's really hard for me to emphasize my love for books through words alone, but they will always be my first love.

I have enjoyed reading since I've been a young girl. It's a way for me to travel without ever leaving my home. :techie-studyingbrown:

I like reading because it's my escape. As a single mom I don't get many breaks or pamper moments so being able to read is my "vacation"

I love reading because it gives me an opportunity to live different realities. Whenever I feel overwhelmed by any emotion in real life, reading allows me to relax, to stop thinking and to see things from different perspectives.

I love reading because, mostly, the reader gets a happy ending. It gives me different emotions like joy, love sometimes a good scare. I can pick the story and emotion I want depending on my mood.

Of course, I also gain knowledge, especially I love historical fiction. I het an idea what happened before, about the people and what they've done for the world w/c might inspire me.

I read to escape from life. When things get rough, I pick up a book and lose myself in it. It helps take my mind away from whatever is going on in my life. Often my parents' loveless marriage makes me think that love is a hoax, so I read romance novels to remember that love does exist and people do find 'the one'

I mainly read fiction books, and I like it because it's an entertaining way to pass time and it's so fun to immerse yourself in the world of the author!

For me, reading has always been a simple matter of enjoyment. I enjoy reading because I like being transported into a different world and living as if I were the character in the book. Throughout my life, I've also found that one learns a lot when reading, so that's another good excuse for it.
