Reading right now

Post by booker »

If you love great characters and want to learn, "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society" is a great read! I am waiting for my Christmas gift of Kathy Reich's latest novel. She is grizzly with details of forensic anthropology and I do not visualize any gory details, but since she is a teacher. she teachers her readers (though dialog) about many other things than forensics. BTW her main character is nothing like "Bones." I just finished reading "Land of a Thousand Suns." Same author as "Kite Runner" but this book is about women in Afghanistan during Russian, Taliban, and ending with American occupation. It is a very good story.
To tag onto another, "Water for Elephants" is a great book!

I just finished Remember Me by Mary Higgins Clark. It's really hard to put her books down once you start.

Rereading What She Saw by Lucinda Rosenfeld. It's really good writing, something that's unfortunately rare in the chicklit genre.
