I love hearing stories, but I love to block out reality by engulfing myself in a good book. An hour spent reading is so much better than scrolling!

I like reading because I can be able to escape into my imagination. I hate how television basically dictates how you are supposed imagine things. With reading you can decide in your own mind how the characters look like; what they sound like, their mannerisms and how the scenery is supposed to look like. Television makes me lazy and I hate how sometimes you look at something on tv and think to yourself that you could have done something better and then you just become a critic. The only thing you have to worry about in a book is the plot otherwise you can have the characters look and sound anyway you like and that is why I prefer it. I literally don't switch on my television unless it is absolutely necessary. :techie-studyingbrown: :D

1. To gain knowledge
2. To understand things from different perspectives.
3. To read about other people's journey in life.

When reading a good book is like listening to music or watch a beautiful view each word you are able to feel and see a different world and be a part of it without living your world and once the story is done you end up being either a worse or a better person for it

You tend to travel into different words (fictional or not), dream, imagine the impossible and live as a different person (sometimes!).
At least that's it for me.

I've always loved reading because it takes me to an alternate reality and lets me escape from the real world for a little bit. I love that you can change what you read based on what you're feeling and what you're in the mood for. It's like watching tv/movies, but so much better because you create the images in your head.

The many reasons for which I read :

1. To be exposed to different cultures and realities because as a curious person I love knowing about people and things.
2. To escape to a different world even without stepping out of home.
3. There are excellent self-help and non-fiction books that help us become better.
4. Reading is a healthier choice of entertainment compared to watching movies or tv shows (I watch movies and tv shows only after reading a bit about them).
5. I want to become a writer. And reading helps in becoming a better writer.
[ I write but I haven't published anything yet (One day soon )].

Besides, reading is shown to improve our brains too. So, let's keep reading :techie-studyinggray: :tiphat:

Reading just takes your mind to places your body could never. And that has to be one of the main reasons why I LOVE reading.
I always tell people, find a book about something you are really interested in and read it. It'' make you want to read more and eventually you'll fall in love with reading.
Also, if a book is ever made into a movie it's like the images and scenarios in your head have finally come to life (despite all the major and minor differences between and book and movie)

I’ve enjoyed reading for as long as I can remember. I am a college student and can almost never be seen without a book in hand.
One of the reasons that I like reading the most would have to be the freedom felt when you pick up a book. No matter the genre, I feel as though the book takes you to a completely different place. In my opinion, books give you a break from life. An opportunity to see life from a different perspective.

Through reading, I have learned more than I could ever receive in a classroom and visited places that I have not been to physically. Reading is a window to the imaginary as well.

There are definitely a few reasons why I like reading so much. However, the main reason is simply to escape. I love reading after a long school day and to dive into another world. It distracts me from my current problems. Furthermore, certain characters are like a kind of motivation or inspiration. I can learn a lot from them and identify with them. That somehow makes me feel less alone.
That one should become more efficient by reading is just a cool side effect.

I love reading beacuse i think by redaing we can grasp the valuable knowledge whuch is given by some valuable characters to easy our life or some time may be hardern our life. Reading not only gives us knowledege about the parricular book or anything but it gave a new root of thoughts that can help us as well as our society.
In my point of view, books only listen us what we think about that not say anything if we were wring or write. These are the only thing which always helps us.
I am very fond of reading books 😊

I like reading because it makes me feel infinite and supreme. I can live a hundred or even a thousand lives in just one go. I can be timid, powerful, alien, normal, introvert, extrovert, rich and drowning in rain at the same time. I just feels so good. I like to know more about everything. That does not mean I like academic textbooks. Yeah, they are good and all but reading books is another kind of fun. It feels peaceful, silent and an escape from real world. I really dig into the story and feel like teleported to another world, world of romance or world of supernatural power, world of faith or world of wisdom, it depends. But it engulfs me and lure me to read more and more.

Reading offers that escape as others have mentioned. How wonderful it is sometimes to experience something or some place completely new and/or exciting while sitting in my most comfy chair. Also; I read to learn. I love learning a broad spectrum of new things, so books help me experience this.

Sometimes to be transported to another world.
Sometimes to learn.
