Re: Why do you like reading?
I love all of that! "I can live a hundred or even a thousand lives in just one go." So true.theprakriti wrote: ↑13 Jan 2021, 05:14 I like reading because it makes me feel infinite and supreme. I can live a hundred or even a thousand lives in just one go. I can be timid, powerful, alien, normal, introvert, extrovert, rich and drowning in rain at the same time. I just feels so good. I like to know more about everything. That does not mean I like academic textbooks. Yeah, they are good and all but reading books is another kind of fun. It feels peaceful, silent and an escape from real world. I really dig into the story and feel like teleported to another world, world of romance or world of supernatural power, world of faith or world of wisdom, it depends. But it engulfs me and lure me to read more and more.

This part is kind of a blessing and a curse, but it also fascinates me how time flies when I'm reading. When I'm immersed in a good book, everything else stops.
Finally, books bring people together in unexpected ways. Who among us can't sit and talk for hours about a book?
