The disappearance of the word "I am" is indeed the highest happiness! :)

Reading is a hobby like any other. It acts as therapy. It is a source of knowledge. A network of stories untold, realities denied, and fantasies unbelievable. For me, reading is much better than watching a movie. In reading, I get one on one interaction with the characters.

People put their thoughts in the books they write. It is very empowering to be involved as you read. Seeing how creative people can be, is my greatest joy. As a writer, I understand how special it is to have ideas and want to write about them. Reading allows you to kinda sit with people who are creative. Being immersed in one's perspective and seeing concepts through them is extremely gratifying. I have changed my life trajectory based on concepts gained while reading. It is a powerful way to feed your mind.

It seems to me that reading is the closest you can get to directly connecting to someone else's mind. And not just their random thoughts, but what they really believe or want to say on a specific topic.

I read for two reasons...

1) To escape. I love being transported to another time or place. I love that feeling of seeing or doing or experiencing something different.

2) To see things from a different perspective. I love a book that makes me think and shows me things from other people's perspectives.

To take my mind off things.I use it as I relaxation method and sometimes when I don't want to be glued to my phone, I prefer books.
Reading makes me more knowledgeable, and yet more curious.

Reading is enlightening and a way of relaxation and escape. Sometimes I get so invested in a book that I become sad when it ends and kiss the characters; this happen for books with exceptional storylines.

I don't really love reading. I love listening to audiobooks. Especially self help, autobiographies, fantasy, thriller. Almost everything but not historical fiction.

Reading is a great way to learn...in fact, I am a self-taught learner .. did most of my education through distance until I was in university. so most of my school years apart from university was spent by myself with my books..I read a lot of school materials and books.
So I adore books and love to read..because it is the only way I was able to learn.

I enjoy reading because it allows me to go to other landscapes and, sometimes, across different eras. It's a getaway, yes, but it's also a journey through the eyes of someone else.

I read a quote the other day saying that non readers live one life, but people who read get to live through as many lives as they want. And that describes it for me. By reading books I get to experience things I might never experience in my real life, especially when it comes to magic!

I love reading a fantasy. It is an escape from everything going around me. Moreover, the fact that books go at my pace, gives me a sense of control. Also, I do love a good story.
