Do you discuss a book after reading

I like to discuss books with other people who have read the same books. Its a learning experience that we both have in common and can share with each other. Sometimes its a good conversation starter when you are meeting new people and want to be able to talk about something you both have in common. Its like when you have a class in school with someone that you've never met and later if you see them somewhere then you've got that class in common with them so you've got a friend to talk to when you don't know anybody else there even if you never talked with them in the class. Just knowing that you have that class or book in common with that person makes one feel like they share something with that person.

Its interesting to find out other people's reactions to the same books I've read and/or maybe discuss some point that was confusing.

I almost always discuss characters and plots with my friends who have read the same book as me, usually YA.
However, I often find it difficult to talk about books that require higher level thinking. It's not that I don't understand the book's concepts and ideas. I feel like I am intimidated by the people I am discussing it with, like wise professors or avid book readers. So, I usually I do. But it really just depends on the book and the people I can discuss it with.

Depending the genre, I usually discuss them with online friends, but on occasion I alert my dad to a must read.

I love discussing books once I've finished them. This entire I year I've been blogging reviews on the books, I've read. I started doing this simply to put my thoughts down and its been a great way to reference what I read and to give reviews to friends.

I don’t always discuss the books that I read. When I do discuss them, I’ll talk talk about a book but only if a person has read the book or doesn't plan to read what I have read.

Sometimes, not always. Though, I do love discussing a book after I am done reading it. Especially if I absolutely loved or felt emotionally attached to the storyline and characters...my problem...I don't really have anybody to discuss the books I read with.

Yes at times if I find common readers for it.Or else if I really liked the book and find no one to discuss with, I write down excerpts of it to myself.

I love discussing books and married a man who likes to read and discuss books. We talk about books with each other even though we have different reading interests.

I love discussing plot and characters with a friend of mine who is also a crazy reader like me. We usually like different characters and I find it quite interesting to see how she sees a character I didn't like and to tell her why I liked a character she couldn't understand. Also, we discuss styles, plot development, we argue on how we would have written it and it is like we get to be part of the story that way, by thinking about it in such details and reading between the lines.

Not really...I'd rather move on to the next book. As it is there are more good books to read than time in my life, lol.

I do like hearing and reading reviews though.
