Re: Books that have made you cry?

The first ever book that made me cry was probably Oliver's Story by Erich Segal. It was my first ever "adult" book, and the bleakness of the whole thing broke me. Other than that, I've bawled my eyes out at Sometimes Brilliant (Larry Brilliant's autobiography), Flora and Ulysses by Kate Dicamillo, and Sophie's Choice by Jostein Gaardner. The list, of course, is non exhaustive. Plenty of books just hit exactly right!
