Re: Reading indoors or outdoors?

For me, it depends on the atmospheric conditions, both indoors and out. There's nothing better than being bundled up against the cold -- scarf, mittens, hat, all of it -- and reading on a park bench. But there's nothing worse than trying to read on the same bench in stifling heat, or in a screaming wind. And indoors, a nice, quiet, sunny morning is great for reading, while being the only reader in the midst of a super bowl party gathering completely sucks. Just depends.

I will read everywhere, bonus when you have an ereader. In the summer I love to lay in the sun and read my heart out. Come winter time though I like to get cozy and read inside with a mug of hot chocolate or coffee. Its also very relaxing to read while having a hot bath. Careful not to drop your book or ereader in though!

I usually find myself reading inside...I love the idea of reading outside--but when it comes to actually doing it I end up packing out a blanket and the book, maybe a pillow. Then there are bugs that start coming out of the grass or I fall asleep lol. But hopefully this summer I'll figure out someway to manage. Maybe a nice lawn chair.

I hate reading outdoors, don't know why.
I love BEING outdoors, as in walking/cycling/running outdoors. I hate just sitting outside, and find it rather uncomfortable. So I really prefer being inside when reading.

Indoors. Outside I can't snuggle in a blanket.

Indoors, even though oudoors is just as good if the conditions are right. Reading in a tent is the best of both worlds. :)

I like to read indoors simply because the sun and I are not great friends.

I love reading indoors. The sun doesn't glare on my kobo, my pages in a book aren't blown around when I'm trying to read, and I don't really get distracted by things when I'm reading indoors. Plus it's quiet, and I can be comfy in my bed or sit on the couch or sit at the table and read and it doesn't make a difference.

I read anywhere I can. Not much choice in the winter so when the weather gets nice I love to read outside in nature. On a hot hot day in the summer I get in the hammock and read the day away! Can't wait for summer to get here!

I read anywhere and everywhere! My favorite place to read is under a big, winding tree that is in my front yard. :) As long as I have a book in my hands, I can make anywhere a reading place. :)

Yes. If the weather is nice, I like sitting on my patio, in my rocking chair and read while my little dogs are running around the yard chasing rabbits and butterflies. Any other time, I like reading inside.

I do not particularly have a preferance for whether I read indoors or outdoors. I think it just depends on the weather and my moods. I love love LOVE reading inside, curling up in a chair, and relaxing when it is storming outside. I find it is my favorite time to read. Though I do love on overcast days to go outside and sit under a nice tree and read all day long.. well at least until it gets sunny. The sun and I are not really that good of friends. Though I do not mind as long as there is some shade and there is not stiffling heat outside. I do love to cuddle up with my pets and read inside though, that way I am relaxing after a long day and enjoying myself as well. So really.. I love both.
