I usually don't read books that are less than 700 pages in length and it usually takes me a day or so to complete a book if it's a good one. If it's not so good two to three days. I read A Dance With Dragons in about sixteen hours.

Leaving childhood reading (Famous Five stories) to one side, I read Dennis Lehane's Shutter Island in a day. "Couldn't put it down" is, I think, the quote that works on the book jacket. :-)

A few hours, but mostly it depends on the the pages. If the book is more than 500 then I mostly finish it in 2 days.

Pre-adulthood and kids, as little as two hours. Now, between two or three days and two or three weeks. But it also depends on the amount of pages in a book.

I read decently fast and am very familiar with pulling an all nighter to finish a good book. I read One Came Home (great book) by Amy Timberlake more recently in about two and a half hours.

The reading time of a book for me depends on many factors: first of all by the language of the book. I like reading books in other languages and for a book of this type I take also a month. For books in my native language I take a few days only.

If I have the time, a few hours. I like to put the book down for awhile and brainstorm the outcome too. So I usually take my time.

I pretty much read a new book in two days as I fit in into my work/school schedule, but if it really grabs me then I can read an entire paperback in under three hours.

It really depends on how thick the book is and the format that the book is in, but I did finish reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series in 10 hours.

I finished 1984 and Enders Game fairly quickly; a day or less. I'm actually going to attempt to learn speed reading based off this book on my wish list. Time to read is dwindling as the responsibilities accumulate, so this skill is imperative.

If the narrative is taking me for a ride, two to five hours.
