I haven't dreamed of owning a book store, but did dream of working in one or working as a librarian. It was a choice of store I had, if I imagined ever working as a sales associate in a store!!

I haven't dreamed of owning a bookstore as much as I've thought about working in one. (preferably, a used-book store). I volunteered at a few libraries and I can say it's work I enjoy. Reading the book "Dash & Lily's Book of Dares" also influenced me in reference to working at a used-book store.

No, I haven't. As much as I enjoy visiting them, I never wanted one of my own. Having my own personal library is good enough!

I once wrote a story about being locked in a library. However, in real life I wouldn't like it of course, I would like to spend time in a library and an evening there, reading en looking at all those books the entire time, but naturally without being locked in there.

In my silly short story the main character is accidently locked in and then various characters come to life from the books, from Pippi Longstockings to Queen Victoria, doing and saying quite silly things as I notice when I read it again years later. I often write something thinking it's allright, then hours or days or even weeks later I realise it was quite stupid or silly when I reread it. ;) Ah, writing is fun. :)

Yes, I think it would be awesome to own a bookstore. If I had one, it would have bookshelves to the ceiling and one of those sliding ladders like in Beauty and the Beast.

Honestly, this would be the ultimate retirement goal. Just a quaint little used book store would be so perfect. If I can't have my own bookstore I would at least want my own library :)

I have always wanted to own my own bookstore. Sadly, dreams don't rate much right now when you have bills to pay. Not to mention bookstores are not as big as they used to be. Now a lot of people are buying online for their Nook or Kindle.

I wouldn't mind working at one, but I'd rather not own one

I would love to own my own book store! I love books of all kinds! I love to encourage young children to read and get them hooked on an author!

It would awesome to own a bookstore. After today, I think I would be able to relate to the customers pretty well. I was in Barnes & Noble today and had two people mistake me for an employee.
