Looks like Harry Potter won this debate by a landslide. I'm not surprised. I think those books can be enjoyed by all and multiple times. Twilight seems geared towards teenage girls and I didn't enjoy it at all.

Is there even a contest here?

I like both books, but Harry Potter is better in every way - plot, dialogues, descriptions, characterizations.

The list can go on and on.

I enjoyed reading the Harry Potter series, but just could not get into the Twilight books.

I loved the books and the movies for both of these, but would probably have to go with Harry Potter. There were more installments of them in the book and movie series- and I just loved the characters.

Twilight is a good but one time read and your done with it.
Where else Harry Potter is forever.
You can read it all the time, any time, anywhere, at any age.
It's the best.

I think Harry Potter wins because of its more complex plot and amazing character development!

Harry Potter is far a greater read. The vocabulary and the structure of the book are way better. There are a lot of ongoing messages regarding life love and friendship. The only thing than can be missing from hp is that there is an erotic tension through the books in twilight. But of course twilight saga is in young adult genre.

Please refer to this link that explains why Harry Potter is vastly superior to Twilight.

It is from THE Stephen King

I enjoyed the Twilight series but I had to choose the Harry Potter series. I can read the Harry Potter series over and over and over again. I actually plan on reading the Harry Potter series again when they finish making all the illustrated editions of each one of the books.

I honestly absolutely love both. I watched all the movies and read the books for both series. I own all of them for both series. I mean I guess it would depend on what mood I'm in on any given day. Although, I do think twilight is more for teenagers and Harry Potter caters to all ages. If I had to choose in this moment, I'd go with potter all the way.

Both of these books appeal to very different people. I liked them both, but for different reasons. Twilight had the romantic vibes down just fine when I was younger and reading it. Harry Potter was the action-packed magic series I loved too.

I think I choose Harry Potter, but I think both are fine. Twilight is just a different kind of book. I pick Harry Potter though because I grew up with it. It feels like they grew up as I did.
