Agreed completely. I don't think she's right for the character.

Jane Eyre is amazing! Another one of my rereads :D

I reread a couple of Stephen King's books on purpose. I love The Stand and It. I've read both books more than once. Oh, and I can't forget The Talisman (cowritten by Stephen King and Peter Straub). I've read that one many times.

I just reread a book called Redemption Songand it was great! I hadn't read it in about 12 years or so. I don't usually reread books, but now that I am in my thirties I really should go back and read some stuff from when I was younger. It will probably mean a lot more to me now that I have grown up some! :D

I bought a VERY obscure paperback about twenty years ago. It is called: "The Marshal" by Dennis Saint Pierre. I have read it twenty times and never tire of it.

"He hears the victims cries and he is there. The gun-toting image of Wyatt Earp. But Wyatt Earp is dead, isn't he?".

There is just something about this. A long-dead Wyatt Earp suddenly hearing the cries of victims in the present day, appearing with the sound of a war whistle, toting a black-powder Buntline Special, and maintaining the code of the west while becoming "The Vigilante". A Police Detective is assigned the case. From the first Cordite stains (black powder) he is forced, slowly, to realize what cannot be real IS real!!

I have read Crank probably ten times. I can't for the life of me remember the authors name. She also wrote Glass (read that one a few times too). If I remember correctly the story is about the authors daughter. Good book. I think it is directed for a youger (well..younger then me) audience but I would still read it over and over. another one that would top my list would th The Lovely Bones...I still haven't watched the movie though.

Why would anyone laugh? ... not my preferences but you are perfectly entitled to your opinion. Enjoy your reading that's the important thing & don't ever let intellectual snobbery bother you.

Many years ago I picked up a book of stories by C L Moore in a second hand bookshop. I had never heard of the writer and I really have no idea why I purchased it as science fiction/fantasy is not really my thing. But if I've read that book once I've read it numerous times especially when I feel in any way down. I truly love that book & it is always in my bedside locker and has helped me through many bad days.

The only books I've re-read are Jane Eyre (about once a year) and Carrie By stephen king.
I love the Dialogue in Jane Eyre and love the flow and structure of Carrie.

Number one is definitely Pride and Prejudice, which I see is a popular answer in this thread. Another one that I reread more than others is Lake in the Clouds by Sara Donati. Also, Adored by Tilly Bagshawe. And The Birth of Venus by Sarah Dunant.

These are all very different books and I love them all for different reasons! There are actually a few more that I tend to reread but... These four are enough for now... lol
