I would love to own a book store but I am not sure it is in the cards for me to. I suppose time will tell if it is something I decide to pursue. Books having taken a backseat to ebooks and electronics so I believe it will affect myself and my family negatively more so than positively to open a bookstore.

I would rather own my own personal library ha-ha I would get too attached to the books and wouldn't want others to ruin them.

I have always dreamed of owning a personal library but never a bookstore. If I do I would always be too busy in going through all the books to let customers have a look. lol

Yup, I've always been thinking/dreaming what it'd be like to own a bookstore or a bakery..or both lol. Well if I would own my own business/shop I'd like it to be a bookstore most likely. I'd have extra benefits on the books too so it'd be a win-win situation :P

I would have loved to own a bookstore. I might not be able to do work though, or have money because of all the books I would be reading!

Always wanted to but by the time I get the money to do it everything will be on those Kindles and ereaders and other book technology that i just hate. People don't know the feeling of having a book in your hand, and I would love to give that to people, especially children.

Throughout various times in my life I have dreamed of owning and operating a small quaint bookstore. Those dreams were more prevalent after watching "You've Got Mail" starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. But seriously even as a child I had dreams of a book/stationary store. I just love the smell of new books and office supplies especially journals.

I always wished I could own a book store. That'd be so awesome. Just chill and read or write all day, hopefully making money at the same time. I think it's a lot harder to make a living off of a bookstore these days though. What, with everything and everyone switching over to digital. There are a lot of bookstores going out of business these days. So my hopes are dashed. Unless I ever got to a point where I was not in need of money, then I could possibly do it for the joy of it, even if I lost money every month! :)

I've always joked that when I retire, I'll open a bookstore and read for the remainder of my life. Since I'm only 25 that's a long way off, lol. But I still read a lot in the mean time.

At first I did, but seeing how the publishing world has changed and how technology has dominated everything recently, I decided against it. I will have to settle for being a lover of reading.
