With or without illustrations is okay with me as long as am able to understand what is contained in the book.

Definately I would choose a book with illustrations. I think the illustrations help the reader visualize and understand the book more easily.

Normally I choose books without illustrations because I get distracted by them and then I take longer in refocusing my attention.

I have trained my mind to get used to books with no illustrations to the point where I think illustrations are for kids. But growing up i used to prefer the books to be illustrated with pictures.

I'm good with either. But, I find it cute when a book has illustrations like maps, etc.

I was fascinated with illustrations or pictures in books before I could read them but not anymore, I think I am more of a matured reader than I was back then. Everything seems to fall into place for me when I read. I don't need illustrations anymore.

it depends, I usually don't care, but if they are in the book, then that's amazing.

Well, I grew up with the idea that illustrations in novels are kind of childish but I don't mind them anymore; I think it's art that adds something special to the book. I'm not looking for them specifically, but I like to see and admire the details if there are such illustrations.

I love books either with illustrations or without. But most ebooks I read have no illustrations.

Nah not really. But I have a read a few books where it is one random picture in the middle and it is so unexpected and it makes me laugh. It is usually for the reader to know what the author is trying to describe. Overall I don't mind if there is a few illustrations.

For kids' books, illustrations are a must. But for me, I like to read the words. So, I prefer books without illustrations.

I love illustrations, they make it easier for my brain to not have to connect descriptions. If I have the picture of scenes described I just find it so much easier to connect things and process the book.

Historical Fiction books with some illustrations are great, especially if some of the characters were real people. It just makes a book more engaging in my opinion. I also love detailed maps.
