Honestly, while I've been in college I had absolutely no time to read! Which was insane because I use to read 5 books a week in high school and becoming a double art major was super busy, along with working two jobs, and being active in the school. So for the first time in 3 years I started reading a book I've half-way finished (which I 'd never done before...sad times.) right before exams and continued through some of them! I just couldn't put it down! And honestly I felt it was a nice way to relax without TV during exams.

Yes I do! Reading for pleasure is my self care. When I need to take a break or just cant stand to do anything academic I will read. I feel that it resets my mind!

It depends. If it's subject matter I find hard, I devote most of my time to the exam. If it's an exam that I know will be easier for me, I still read around exams.

I sometimes would go into a slump and not read at all for a month or even more. After exams, I would get back to reading all day.

Yeah, I do read while it's exam times. I find that reading my own book relaxes me and helps me not stress too much over the tests I am about to take. However, I had to be very careful during exam times and put a limit of how long I could read for so that I would still have time for studying.

I usually do, though not nearly as much.

The exception is when I have comprehensive exams...had them as an undergrad and have to deal with them again next year. No fun reading for a while leading up to those!

When I get too mentally exhausted I will try reading a bit, but then I remember how little time I have left untill the day of the exam, I will myself to get back to studying.

I try to stay away from books when having exams. I find it difficult to put down books.

Depends on the exam and how stressed I am. I usually don't because it is a distraction but I have a few times just to de-stress and relax myself.

I cannot read around exam time. I have to focus on studying the material and finishing up papers and projects. However, right after exams I start reading again and love it! Over the summer is when I get to read the most.
