Ethan Frome's great. I need to read more Edith Wharton; I'd really recommend The Age of Innocence.

A Tale of Two Cities. It is just one of the stories that continue to fascinate me. I have to read it at least every ten years.

We studied Persuasion, A Tale Of Two Cities, Frankenstein, Picture of Dorian Gray and wrote reviews about them. I was so happy to study these books at school because we discussed everything and our teacher made us see the points that I couldn't find. It's always been a joy for me.

I was an English major so I read a lot of very good books and some really bad ones that were considered classics. I think the book that I read in school that became one of my favorites was THE GRAPES OF WRATH by John Steinbeck.

I studied Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Lord of the Flies by William Golding and Blood Brothers by Willy Russel. I liked OMAM and Blood Brothers because they were short and I was able to reread them quickly many times because my exam, however Lord of the Flies was ridiculously long and so was each chapter so you couldn't quickly read one at a time.

The Great Gatsby. I didn't think I would like it, but I did. I have not seen the movie and don't know if I want to . Sometimes I feel the movie misses the whole point of the book. I have the characters already in my mind and how they would look, and feel the movies kind of ruins the romance of the story.

The first time I read Brave New World was for a school assignment, and I loved it! The descriptions of the "future" and all of its workings, the main character who doesn't fit in, and the relationships between the allegedly perfect society and the outcasts of the "natural" world really made an impression to a middle-school student who thought a lot of the people around her were either aliens or robots.

I've since recommended it when my book club was reading classics and have studied it for other classes, and I enjoy it in different ways but with the same passion every time.

Yes, there were a lot of them. I liked Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Adichie, Lord of the flies had a slow start for me but I later loved it and there were some others I loved.

I had to study 'The Old Man and the Sea' as well as 'The Lord of the Flies' for my Senior Certificate Literature Exam. I love them till this day. I also had to read Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Purple Hibiscus for the same exam. It's not exactly my kind of read but I really appreciate how brilliantly written it is. It's an excellent piece of literature.

I read Julie Of The Wolves and Esperanza Rising in junior high and fell in love with it. The idea of having someone my age to relate to was fascinating. These are two books that I always find myself coming back to years later.
