If I had to choose I would choose a book written in the first person. It's more intimate and you get a better feel for the person and their emotions.

I like first person, it helps me relate more.

I don't have a preference either. I've just finished Octavia Butler's Parable of the Talents and Parable of the Sower. Both of them were excellent and in first person. Then I think about some of my favorite books of all time and they're largely written in third person narration.

I prefer the first person narrative. I love being in the protagonist's shoes. I love to see things from their perspective and share in their emotions. The reading experience is always top notch in the first person.

I like 1st person stories. They have a more relatable feel for me. It is as though I'm right there and everything happens around me

First person, because it gives more insight into the characters minds and feelings.

I really think it all depends on the quality of the writing and my interest in the story rather than if it is 1st person or narrator. I remember reading a lot of the classics, like The Invisible Man, that are all told in 1st person very effectively.

I don't really have a preference. I like first person because the main character is more knowable as mentioned above. But I also like narration, because I like to know what the other characters are thinking and doing. Narration does give the option of more than one story line as well.

I prefer narrator, there is only very few moments when I have enjoyed a first person narration, often it makes me feel out of place.

I prefer third-person narration.

I prefer first-person narration because I feel like I connect to the character's emotion deeply. I can see the story through her/his eyes.

Narrator. I don't want to be limited to what one character knows, feels, or thinks.
