1st person or a narrator?

I always write in first person, I feel like it connects the reader better with the character. However, I'll read either, I'm not picky.

I think that it just depends on the story. Sometimes it's better to be in the author's shoes, but sometimes I feel that it's better to have outsider telling the story.

I prefer a narrator. If I can't connect with a character, I don't want to be forced to see things from their POV

I don't mind the first person, but sometimes it can be a little cringe. I prefer third person, but I can appreciate the first person because it makes you more connected to the characters.

Depends on the book and my mood, the writing style. I can enjoy both and honestly I could not decide which ine is better. What annoys me, if a novel is written in present tense, it feels kind of weird.

Narrator. I like that they can tell the story in a sort of objective manner. They bring out each character and event as they are.

I prefer first person because then it means every characters can have their own point of view. A narrator would limit a lot in the book but I would not discriminate any book based on the narrative.

Depends on the type of book, actually. Most times I prefer 1st person because it helps me connect to the characters more. On the other hand, I find it quite limiting sometimes so I prefer narrators for fantasy books.

I would say that I prefer a mix of both. 1 person is very subjective but sometimes it biases the interpretation of other characters. In the same case, narrator won't be able to go deep into the mind of the character.

I like the all-knowing narrator telling story. It ables me see the story from each character's point of view. But but hearing from a single narrator is boring to me.
