If dystopia is not too narrow to count as genre, then that is my favorite. Otherwise, I suppose I would say sci-fi, most of which is very similar to dystopian fiction because it generally speculates about potential or hypothetical futures, often as a warning of what could or may come to pass, while telling a story it also contains implicit commentary on society and society's path.

But I also like variety.

I really have no idea. I like fantasy just as much as romance, horror and other genres. The only thing I know for sure is that I hate Sci-fi (which is kinda weird cause I love sci-fi movies...). But when I looked at my bookshelves I noticed that most of my books are fantasy!

I voted for fantasy. It all depends on a book, tho.

I chose "other" because I like a bit of all genres. Variety!

I like all the same, pretty much. I voted Other, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Sports Nonfiction.

I just didn't vote because I like to read a bit of everything.
If I read just romance all the time I would get sooooo bored. So I'll read a romance book, then sci-fi, then historic fiction, and so on. I like to keep it different. Right now I am kind of in a historic fiction phase though. :)

I like mysteries and fantasy the best but I read just about anything that strikes my fancy as I have an eclectic range of interests. :D

im on a non-fiction kick right now, well i don't know if "non-fiction" is the correct term, as I seem to be reading about stuff like Bermuda Triangle, True Hauntings, Existence of the Yeti, things like that.

I picked "other" because I read all kinds of books. I don't have a favorite type of book although I really enjoy mysteries.

as far as genres go, science fiction and fantasy (more scifi than fantasy). I'll read just about anything though.
