Sometimes, we don't like it when one of the characters is shown dead. So, whom would you save?

In the novel The Spirit of Want by William H. Coles, I did love Lucy's role and I didn't expect her to die. I wish to have known what happened to her after recovery and how she regained back her life and career. To see a happy ending in a character after a lot of battles and struggles would be amazing and satisfying :)

I know that feeling you just described Annie, and it is so frustrating to see a character die who could have future development within the book.

In It by Stephen King I would save Eddie Kaspbrak. It was so heart breaking when he died at the end, he deserved better.

I think I want to save Alaska Young from the book "Looking for Alaska" by John green. Alaska Young was a teen girl, who suffers for a unintentional mistake she did in her past. She deserves forgiveness, she deserves life.

It would be Tsukuru from Haruki Murakami's "Colorless Tsukuru and His Years of Pilgrimage". Well, he is not dead or ill. But I have this feeling of saving him in his depressive state. I would like to go over the extra mile just to tell him, I am here and that I will listen. I want to save him in the abyss and be his light. He has so much more in his life and I know he deserves more.

Well, a lot of great characters died in The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo, but I feel like the worst came after John died, so I wish he had survived to, maybe, keep the other characters going.
