It depends on the book... do I own it or did I borrow it from the library? If I borrowed it, I usually make a note of the author and title, look for books that are similar for me next book to read maybe..... Or if I own it I will sometimes donate it to the library or lend it out to friends who I think will enjoy it..... If it was a truly amazing book that I want to read again in the future it will go on my shelf to be enjoyed sometime in the future when I need a comfort read, an old friend whose pages are familiar and inspiring to me.

I read them, and then, if I own them, I stick them on my shelves, if they were review copies, I keep them, and if they were library copies, I return them. But if it was really bad, and I own it... I mourn for the money spent that I could have used for a better book, I turn it into this book center that gives me credit, and I get a new book!

I tend to only buy books I like. I'd never throw them away! I found a lot of local trade-in programs, so the books I don't particularly like go toward buying new ones.

This is one of the most horrifying things I have ever read.

I love books, so getting rid of them, let alone THROWING THEM AWAY does not appeal to me at all. I want to build a collection.

I keep the ones I form a connection with and the others I either try to sell back online (to use to buy more books) or I donate them to my local library.

Ran out of walls to add bookcases to, so I give them to friends and / or donate to hospitals, nursing homes, etc.

Right now I'm working on compiling my own library so any books that I read and love, I keep. Some of them I pass onto other people to enjoy but for the most part I hold onto them. I have a lofty goal of collecting all of James Patterson's novels but that's quite a feat.

I like to re-read my favorite parts and then donate the book. :D

Return it to the public library. If it is truly exceptional I will then buy a copy for my home library.

If it's an absolute favorite, or part of an unfinished series, I keep it. I usually donate the rest to schools and local charity programs

I let it sit in my library until I can share it with somebody or until I feel like reading it again... that is if it si a good book. If it really isn't worth my time and space I give it out to somebody who might like it.

Normally I return a book once I"m done reading it. I primarily borrow books either from Amazon using Kindle Unlimited or my local library. I'm a serial single time reader, I rarely revisit books I've already read once. As a result I try to borrow books instead of buy, unless I feel compelled to buy the book because it's not available to rent and I must have it.

I keep my books, however now I am running out of space! I have a small room so I may have to start selling or donating the ones I don't completely love!
