Actually, I think ebooks and I'm not sure why. Anyone have any clues as to why this may be the case?

For me it's paper books. I spend all day looking at a computer for work so my eyes need a break from electronic text at the end of the day.

It has no difference for me. I read on my kindle a lot and don't have any eye strain.

Physical books produce less eye strain. For me, at least.

I feel like they would produce the same as long as you are reading in the correct light

For me it is definitely paper books. I don't really like reading ebooks but I do it because I love reading.

I haven't really noticed with either one. The only time reading from either ebook or regular book is if I am tired but try to keep reading instead of just going to sleep.

I think it may depend on the person. I know people who love to be able to change the contrast and font size on an e-reader and find that to be the easiest way to read. I personally had rather read books (in the right light, of course). I also like the feel of reading a book versus an e-reader...but that's just my preference.

I think books provide less strain if there is good lighting around.

There isn't a whole lot of difference to me. Unless the ebook is on a tablet-like ereader (which I hate).

P books cause less eye strain for me than ebooks. According to an article on the subject by Hanho Jeong in Emerald Insight, that backlighting in electronic devices produces more eye stress over time, than traditional p books. It has to do with the lower display content and resolution. Science.
